From what I know (I may be wrong) but the camshaft failures of 700 cc ktms were attributed to the cfmoto as they were the ones manufacturing it, so I really do not know if quality is cfmoto's forte. But cfmoto bikes do look good. However, if I am going to spend more than 2 lakh rupees on a new bike, reliability will be one of the key aspect.

Well it's not true btw. CF Moto build KTMs are relatively good. But the Austrian made is the one who's getting the backlash. We indians do have a negative image for the chinese but in this case it's not true. Most of the complaints are the cam wearing but other Austrian produced bikes also cause electronic failures. They are loaded with every bit of the electronics system but they don't age well with time. The full drama is caused because of KTM mismanagement of their customers. Providing no support from the showrooms as well as charging more to unlock many of the electronics system present already on the bike like a subscription. Does this ring any good business management. No they don't. The chinese as well as Indian branch have no part in the controversy regarding the current KTM mismanagement. This is all caused by the Austrian side. Please research More about this. You can find many mechanics and dealers talking about KTMs current situation ,Outside Asia.
Bajaj can't takeover KTM due to their incapability of production for high performance and higher capacity bikes. GasGas will go for sure due to its lack of diversity in bike models. MV agusta future is unknown as far as I can imagine

I really hope that Royal Enfield keeps their current lineup for making money but then creates some premium cruiser bikes with oil cooled 1250cc V-Twin and top of the line parts and features. Yes, Can happen. KTM jaisa brand can become Bnkrupt.. If LG and HTC can close their Mobile division, if Sony Viao can close its laptop division. If Sahara limited can Shutdown due to unforseen circumstances, anything can happen to any brand. However, I feel that nothing is going to affect the Indian Market for KTM, yes I agree, it may create negative impact due to this news but I think based on the past experience of Bajaj selling "Mass Spec bikes" they will be able to keep the spark on.

I actually went to the KTM showroom once and i test rode thw vehicle I believe it was the 390 however it was turning off at the low rpm which is a known issue and when I told the service representative he was telling I don't know how to ride a bike. Fun fact I test drove 4 other brands bike kawasaki, honda, Hero and Suzuki and i never faced any issue like this. So I just realised KTM isn't for me basically because of how I was treated and how the test drive experience was And further more it was expected that ktm would go bankrupt as the company was not looking at quality but quantity... People look for quality.. Their bikes had Engine issues, overheating issues software issues service issues crank shaft issues all had plagued ktm so it's no wonder it went bankrupt 😢
Bro, don't try to get too involved in the company's internal matters. Leave all this to the KTM experts, they have experienced professionals for that. I've been saving for the past two months and am now so close to having the budget to buy a new Duke 250 in the black version.

The 890 isn't that old (the camshaft issue was resolved and we are getting the updated models). The 1290 is a proven platform. The 1390 adventure models are fairly new hence it's probably why they didn't launch in india since India is a sensitive market. The indian market doesn't need an enduro bike right now (the 350 excf)

ktm wasn't happy selling motorcycles. They had to go fancy. The money it took to build a car and have a GP presence was stupid. THE MATH NEVER DID WORK. The CEO and investors are huge ego losers.

Credit goes to Chapris those who tampered the brand reputation of KTM , when i was a kid That time Ktm launched newly with Bajaj ,trust me when i saw Rc 200 i was shocked that Led projector face was really aggresive and the exhaust was also new for ear 👂. That time i decided to buy a duke from ktm . Now i am a IT profesional i feel hesitate to purchase Duke . Coz chapri not wearing helmate not obeying trafics and people judge them , so when i ride my frnds Duke in trafic people look at me in a hate way .
I think CF moto should own more shares. Their quality and vision is much much better in the motorcycle market than Bajaj. Introducing CF moto in India will be a huge deal and in fact if that happens, the most important question will be how much of a monopoly would Indian bike market have. Regardless, I think its totally fine to buy a KTM at a discounted price, If its a higher cc KTM, then its much better because as per the West, After CF started production, the quality of components and reliability have gone up much more than they would like to admit. I just hope they dont release more bikes competing with each other and instead focus on creating variety of products that the market wants.

Credit goes to Chapris those who tampered the brand reputation of KTM , when i was a kid That time Ktm launched newly with Bajaj ,trust me when i saw Rc 200 i was shocked that Led projector face was really aggresive and the exhaust was also new for ear 👂. That time i decided to buy a duke from ktm . Now i am a IT profesional i feel hesitate to purchase Duke . Coz chapri not wearing helmate not obeying trafics and people judge them , so when i ride my frnds Duke in trafic people look at me in a hate way .

I think CF moto should own more shares. Their quality and vision is much much better in the motorcycle market than Bajaj. Introducing CF moto in India will be a huge deal and in fact if that happens, the most important question will be how much of a monopoly would Indian bike market have. Regardless, I think its totally fine to buy a KTM at a discounted price, If its a higher cc KTM, then its much better because as per the West, After CF started production, the quality of components and reliability have gone up much more than they would like to admit. I just hope they dont release more bikes competing with each other and instead focus on creating variety of products that the market wants.
