my unit fought these guys in iraq & stan back in 04-05, i can tell u that these guys are extremely resilient & resourceful. during the day many pretends to work for us, keeping the base clean & fixing damages. but at nights they're planting IEDs & mortars to harm us. an arab translator once asked me if i have any personal feeling about his country & it's ppl, i truthfully told him that im just here for the money, nothing more. i don't really care about any politics or their cause, im jus here doing what im told to do & hoping to go home in one piece after deployment. i think he's a spy but who really knows.

In all honesty these taliban seemed less experienced than others I have seen on video. The way they prepared, spoke, and executed the attack.
It seems as tho this was just a small routine attack they carry out frequently and not a major offensive.
These werent trained ones. They had little training, evident by their failure to clean the weapon
