I think Calgary got a great deal- we wasn't signing here, everyone knew it. I hope Vegas fans aren't expecting a lot in the future, they're draft picks are almost non existent the next few years. As a Flames fan I'd gladly have a decade of darkness if we'd won a cup though!
The Flames should have traded him before the season started. I know they probably wanted to take a shot, but that hasn't worked in the past, so why expect it to work now.
Tony Stretcher was always a favourite of mine(gotta rep my homeboy), but chock another for the Benning management group when they let a quarter of the team walk in free agency chasing OEL...
i've only seen one person mention this but sword actually seems like the better prospect in the yakov trade with the avs... he's got more points, better plus minus and he is a year younger.
I am a little torn on this one. I know Toffoli is on an expiring deal and hasn't inked any extension. But also, i wouldn't want the devils to trade him away. I'd like to see him stay in New Jersey, but i guess if the deal is right Tom Fitzgerald will listen to whats there. Its been a weird year here in New Jersey with all the injuries, giving rookies time to mold in NHL games and streaks of under performing.
I like Miro but better than THEO? That is an absolutely absurd take. Where did you even gather that? He played 4 games and got 0 points. This would have been his year to shine, if he wasn't dealing injury all the time.
@@esharp48 I mostly listen to the radio broadcast and the amount of „failed stretch pass from Theodore“ probably makes me think that. I know Theodore is a Top D but I felt since his return from injury he had not the same impact before in the early season. But I guess that goes for all the D atm.
@@Kriegskutter I mean, he has 28 points in the 27 games he's played. He's played pretty well. Of his list 5, he was only left pointless against Buffalo
Colorado still needs a experienced back up goalie because Pavel Francouz is done for the season possibly his career and that means Georgiev has to play lights out & not get hurt so that could be a issue unless they address that between now and tomorrow.

I remember telling some Flames fans to not be so hard on Hanafin because he really doesn't owe this team nothing imo no more so than Tkachuk or Gaudreau yet him going to a team that is quickly becoming a despised franchise sucks.

Toronto as usual making bonehead trades. Maybe if their salary wasn’t tied up in 4 selfish stat chasing players they’d be able to have some kind of leverage. They shoulda traded Reilly while his value was still decent
I hope Vegas flops and goes out early! Can't put guys on the LTIR, then bring them back in for the playoffs. Like MLB teams paying the luxury tax regardless just to win. When will the other owners step in and stop this, unless there's under table deals to them!
@Cosmicllama64 it's just the same old story with the the flames. This team will not win a cup in the foreseeable future(should have blown this team up 3 years ago (perfect opportunity) dont want to be really bad so they will never be really good (seems all my teams have this problem except for the A's and they just suck)
Whats the problem with a future 1st round pick? Flames next 2 drafts they have multiple 1st round picks. Even if it's in the 20s I'll still happily take a player thats ranked around 20 in his draft year
@justjohnny420 Something about a birb in hand is better then 2 in the bush. Pick next year so you can start building(not in 2maybe 3 years)This team is so poorly put together, you really see a cup in the forseeable future.
