I have been a freaking W.A.S.P., since they first came out in the early 80's . I'm 55 now ,and still listen to them like it was yesterday when they first came out. There's no other band like W.A.S.P. I have been following them all thus years and all the musicians have played in this band. And I have to add R.I.P. Mr .Frankie Bannali 🙏
If they only toned down the whole S&M / Satan gimmick sooner, they could have really blown up with the likes of Motley Crue and some other big names. But Blackie had his own cartoonish vision for the band and he stuck with it.
One of the most under rated bands ever.. they were the Band.. they killed every other band.. their self titled album was the one.. and the last command was perfection!

@Jonathan Williams When I first heard 'Falling Apart' I wondered what kind of hillbilly s*** is this. Once it kicked in I loved it. I like 95% of my music faster paced (wild side, looks that kill, heatseeker, body talk, dance, etc.) Slower songs I like are Widowmaker, Dream Evil, Night Songs and one of my favorites is Last In In Line.
I‘d rather call them US Metal of Shock Rock, and with albums like „Headless children“ or „Crimson Idol“ just classic Metal. W.A.S.P. are so much more than the Mötley Crue / Poison / Ratt type of band

Last summer I came from L.A. driving back to Houston and during my ride through Arizona I was blasting this song doing 100 miles per hour...little did I know I was being pursued by a highway patrol for 9 miles...That was the best $500 ticket ever.
I get it!! This music just makes you high and you become entranced by the hard energy. I take it the Patrol officer was not an 80's hard rock fan. If he/she was..they would have totally understood! Great story! You will have to listen to Neil Diamond next time...save WASP or others like it for some where else!
W.A.S.P were the kings of shock rock in metal in the 80's. They weren't one dimensional either, blackie lawless wrote the best ballads in rock, and the musical genius he was he gave us the masterpiece that was Crimson Idol
Jeff Mason I'm sorry. I genuinely love rock, metal, all of that theatrical bullshit. Crue, VH, Kiss, even. I can not hear anything in WASPs music. It's like they assembled scraps of other inspiration and played it just to have their picture taken. I'm not "hatin". I'm trying to get the appeal.
robin cosby WASP are pretty unique at least to my ears, i can't find many bands that stands to their style, perhaps Twisted Sister were and a bit UDO... they're unique and yes they have assembled scraps, who didn't.. I can name many top bands who just play to have their picture taken
This song brings back happy memories of going to gigs to see rock outfits like the band Knightrider from Glasgow, who played music similar to WASP. Blissful memories of an era when rock ruled the airwaves and great songs like this were on daytime radio all the time. Guys like Blackie Lawless and Knightrrider's frontman Tam Toye were singers of unique talent. We will always revere them. Heroes, one and all.
God I miss the early days of W.A.S.P. in LA. Their shows kicked butt and had everything from naked girls, blood, fire, raw meat being thrown into the crowd, fireworks shooting out of blackie's pants, and non-stop head banging action from Chris. Of course that was back in the days when the venues were small and you still could talk with the band before they went on. Those were great days.

Back in the day I was more into classic rock. Now however I'm getting more into bands from the 80's that I missed the first time around. A lot of these songs are new to me so it's a journey of discovery as much as it is nostalgia.
I love how energetic they are in this video. I got to see WASP in the late 80s and it was f***ing mental. They're all quite big lads and honestly Chris Holmes' guitar looked like a kid's toy in his hands LOL.

Saw these in the Victoria Hall Hanley on their last command tour. Brings back good memories of being young all those years ago and having long hair and no worries. Went with a good friend who has just passed away of covid while working as a porter in the Royal Stoke Hospital aged 52. Here’s to you Adam, good times back then. RIP my friend.
Wasp was the most epic band of the 80s. I remember hearing Scream until you like it in Ghoulies for the first time on 2. I then looked the band up, and I was hooked for life. They were exactly what I was looking for. And Blackie Lawless' voice is just something else!

Just heard this live in Tampere, Finland on Friday 12 th. and I wanna be somebody and was amazed how on earth not only band was very good but also Blackie and his voice was still full of power and dynamics and still he managed to keep the tune correctly.
This album reminds me of when I would drive up tho the farm to work on the cabin and would have playing over and over on tape deck in my Jeep. Love this band
It was Guns and Roses, Def Leppard - then, Iron Maiden that topped the Summer headings back a few years ago in Toronto, Canada. All 3 bands played for one night.

I heard he suffered from a rare genetic disorder that calcified his connective tissue, and when he was in his teens his spine fused. He suffered an unfortunate accident in high school playing football, and he broke many of his vertebra. The doctors used what was then pioneering surgery to straighten his spine with with steel joists, hence his upright gait. Actually I just made all of that up.
Saw W.A.S.P once, with my pops, and it will only be once. It was at a nice venue, Starland Ballroom. I cant think of seeing them again, and it topping the previous show. There is never a time we hear their songs, and not think of Blackie running around stage, and riding elvis, and back to stage.

I lived in Roseburg Oregon while going to high school and I remember wasp coming to the Denny's restaurant giving away all kinds of memorabilia and we got to meet the band awesome experience 😎

No offense, but I remember what KISS was like in 1986, and I can't think of many bands that COULDN'T have stolen the show from them. Eric Carr and Bruce Kulick both deserved to be in a better band at that point.
2023 allmost over 2024 right around the corner. Still love this. What a time it was. What happened to time. I'm 56 years old now. Just can't believe the time span. Freaks me out. I'm still that young teenager in my head, haven't changed. But everything else has. I feel like a lost soul.
In that case there are A LOT of lost souls out there. I'm 52, and I went to a local show the other day, small town i Denmark, where VLTIMAS played. At least half the crowd was my age, still horns up with a beer in the other hand 🤘🖤
This (among alot of other kick ass 80s metal) used to BLAST out of my Black 67 Chevelle, 396, rock crusher 4 speed, limo black windows, red crushed velour interior when I was in high school cruizin the main drag back in 88! One HELL of a time to be young!

I'm a millennial and i've only discovered the beauty of 80's rock about a year ago. There is no turning back, i only listen to those bands now.

This song brings back happy memories of going to gigs to see rock outfits like the band Knightrider from Glasgow, who played music similar to WASP. Blissful memories of an era when rock ruled the airwaves and great songs like this were on daytime radio all the time. Guys like Blackie Lawless and Knightrrider's frontman Tam Toye were singers of unique talent. We will always revere them. Heroes, one and all.
Saw WASP about 15 years ago in a small bar with about 150 people. They played like there were 20,000 fans there, awesome show!

Just heard this live in Tampere, Finland on Friday 12 th. and I wanna be somebody and was amazed how on earth not only band was very good but also Blackie and his voice was still full of power and dynamics and still he managed to keep the tune correctly.

А я на концерте W.A.S.P. в 2015 году в МСК ( рей джаст арена ) в ВИП ложе устроил жуткий дебош по пьяне . Кто там был , знайте , это я устроил 👹! Просто нервы сдали , что увидел в живую своих кумиров .

I heard he suffered from a rare genetic disorder that calcified his connective tissue, and when he was in his teens his spine fused. He suffered an unfortunate accident in high school playing football, and he broke many of his vertebra. The doctors used what was then pioneering surgery to straighten his spine with with steel joists, hence his upright gait. Actually I just made all of that up.

Saw W.A.S.P once, with my pops, and it will only be once. It was at a nice venue, Starland Ballroom. I cant think of seeing them again, and it topping the previous show. There is never a time we hear their songs, and not think of Blackie running around stage, and riding elvis, and back to stage.

I lived in Roseburg Oregon while going to high school and I remember wasp coming to the Denny's restaurant giving away all kinds of memorabilia and we got to meet the band awesome experience 😎

No offense, but I remember what KISS was like in 1986, and I can't think of many bands that COULDN'T have stolen the show from them. Eric Carr and Bruce Kulick both deserved to be in a better band at that point.

2023 allmost over 2024 right around the corner. Still love this. What a time it was. What happened to time. I'm 56 years old now. Just can't believe the time span. Freaks me out. I'm still that young teenager in my head, haven't changed. But everything else has. I feel like a lost soul.
