That's all? That is all letherman's designers can imagine? I have a suggestion for them : Listen yours customers , they have more ideas than you , and they know what they need and desire.
These tools are for the collectors, fan bois, color coordinators, and youtubers. Given the price and tools there are a number of $40 multitools with better and more useful tools. Reminds me of the "Limited Edition" SAK classic SD. Thanks for the vid

It's like these companies have all have the same advisors. That's exactly the dark pattern that brings other new companies to the top.
Iv been using leathermans and swiss for over 20 years daily and ima say it. I hate the boring stainless steel. It's 2024. We are able to produce colorful personalized good quality tools for anyone. If that's a problem to you. Your the problem. Everyone should have a multitool. Anyone complaining about colorways doesn't understand business and is just gatekeeping decent tools
I was hoping for something exciting. Sigh . . . Thanks for an interesting way to present what they gave you to work with. I agree with your sentiments. Come On Leatherman, you're not trying very hard!
I’m all for Leatherman expanding the color palette. I have about 40 Leatherman multitools and almost all of them are stainless steel. I’ve moved on from field work and spend most of my time in an office, so I prefer the smaller/lighter multitools (PST, Bond, Rebar, OG Supertool). I welcome some color in an office environment! I even like the Burnt Sienna. I don’t put the Bond in the same category with the Chinese multitools. Almost all of them are Wave-inspired, and weigh in at 9+ ounces, and can get kinda bulky. I prefer something in the 5-7 oz range.
@@wickius12 That varies on the day. Lately it's been the Bibury Surge colne at work plus the electrician Leatherman squirt. At home I switch to my modified coyote tan skeletool.
I like the burnt Siena. However that’s what leatherman seems to do lately is to add color like with the micra. The colors may bring in new buyers but I’m not certain. They also need to listen to their loyal customers. I’m sure many here have suggestions.
Leatherman really need to come out with their own version of a Gerber dual force. I do love leatherman however in a maintenance tech position I believe the Gerber dual force stands alone
I would like a mid size multi tool with pliers, a bit driver, scissors and not much else. I don't need a blade as I prefer a stand alone knife. Any suggestions?
Roxon M2, Daicamping DL1 (DL30 may be too big), Roxon Flex (now, finally, available outside the US), Swisstech/BHBT/luchishy/etc. have a generic multitool with detachable scissors. That being said, you could also buy a Dewalt compound action pliers, a good klein or T&E tools ratcheting screwdriver (part 5266) and a knockoff raptor style shear tool (not the ones with the carabiner handle).
Man I don't need my tool to be a fashion accessory the bond is a great tool but bring back the crunch would love a crunch for my glove department I carry a surge daily so I really just want heavey duty tools I don't need my tools to be different colors
I’ll be picking a couple up. The color will differentiate the tools so I know which one goes where and will also set them apart from my old silver bond with the blade that had to be modified. Also I really wish they would make a no-blade Skeletool with large scissors (Skeletool SX)😎
I actually feel like the bond is an awesome product for leatherman. keep it light, cheap ergonomic and have those awesome quality rebar tools! the biggest thing I think they could do for this line besides make it a 4 long implement version is put the OG supertool lock system in it. it would be a lighter version of the rebar that would still maintain the better ergonomics of the bond. the rebar's lock kinda sucks for ergos.
First time buyers might like the choice of colours. Time to lighten up people, can’t take these things too seriously. But then again I got suckered into buying another Skeletool, blue and pink, just because it’s was darn cute. Maybe I’m a lost cause but I kinda like the poop coloured Bond.
Honestly I think it would be a good idea, If leatherman released different tool configurations on the wave frame. Have the configurations be tailored to specific blue collar jobs.
I can't believe that adding new color schemes to older tools is the best that thier sales and marketing department can come up with. Whatever happened to innovation and creativity? Nevermind radical innovations for the moment. How about working with what they have. Like adding moddable versions of the popular Wave and Surge models? It would be nice if they designed a new and updated Crunch. If they keep increasing their prices they are going to only get a specific customer profile that can afford to pay these prices. In effect pricing themselves out of the market or positioning themsleves as an affluent and elite multitool manufacturer.
The sienna colour is bright orange, the cerakote is very durable, they fixed the blade problem and the blade is better and the file is better. This redux version is not just a painted version of the 3 yr old bond it is an update and addresses the criticisms of version 1. The green looks like baby puke IRL and you can’t go wrong for $50-70.😎🤘
Is that a 3-D printed thingy on your skeletool? I’ve seen those, but I’ve never seen one like this with the color. Is it from the same guy that sells all those?
I’d rather see them release a Rebar that can be fitted with a pocket clip. The Rebar offers so much more for a small weight increase.

If you are looking for innovation, the garage 007 is still available. Lol I wouldn't mind seeing a production version of a Mr crunch though. I really wish they would at least bring back the crunch.
They need to come up with cool new multitools. Painting is better than nothing but still not great. If they can't come up with cool new mt's than bring back some of the classics. I'm still looking for a crunch
They intentionally chose dull bland colors with no designs, artwork, or lettering. The two handles being different colors helps to remember which handle holds which tools. It's a utilitarian look. They don't want their tools to look cheap. Which is understandable given that I can't even afford one. I do like the brown. I think it's the most professional/industrial look. It would look good on a UPS driver, or a soldier with a desert camo uniform. The green is kind of flashy. The brown means serious business lol.
I do like the color concepts but it won't make me buy another tool. If I didn't have a Bond I'd consider the orange and brown. I like all three color coordinations. You should definitely buy your daughter the cranberry!
Outside of USA leathermans service sucks. I contacted their local distributor regarding a stripped T8/T6 flat bit. Nothing. Was told to buy a whole new bit kit
Leatherman is really behind right now. They’re more concerned with making pocket jewelry right now instead of building tools for people who will actually use them. I’m still carrying my modified Rebar and have absolutely no reason to buy anything new from them.
The only thing that this proves to me. The engineers and management behind leatherman are all YOUNG and not sure what thier doing. Because the older generation or an actual bkue collar working man/woman isnt going to be worried about what color there tools are. Aslong as they are good quality and do the job. Stainless has been good enough for 40 years....
This is a users tool great , a top pocket of the boiler suit , the arc was to big and useless , the rebar , the wave , the blast , all great , collectors want different toys , workers want a easy to used tool set , but in to days no lock on a blade , laws we need a back to basic tool set ,
Bro i dont even use my crunch anymore because im scared ill end up ruining it and dont wanna pay 300 for another..... leatherman sucks now i just started carrying knipex and a SAK. Better pliers and better secondary tools.
there’s no value in the arc, that was a money grab. people being way overcharged & being told it is cause it’s USA made, total bs. I think it’s time Leatherman sells to someone looking to put money into R&D before they lose too much market value. right now we have access to excellent clones at a fraction of the price Leatherman charges.
That's all? That is all letherman's designers can imagine? I have a suggestion for them : Listen yours customers , they have more ideas than you , and they know what they need and desire.
They evidently suffer hearing impairment. Seems they may have gotten it from Victorinox. Must be contagious.
We need a Surge.3, the Crunch back, the crater serie was not bad too.

we don't need colors. we need improved version of free P4 and improved P2. We need normal wire cutters (not rounded).
👍👏👏👏👏
Totally agree with you..
The Arc without Magnacut, please offer a 420HC version. Until then I'm good with the Wave.
I believe it’s time to move away from Leatherman until they give a crap what their customers want.
Wow that's really innovative to have 2 different tones on 1 multitool! Way to go Leatherman! Now try putting 3 4 5 colors on the same multitool.
I was hoping for something exciting. Sigh . . . Thanks for an interesting way to present what they gave you to work with. I agree with your sentiments. Come On Leatherman, you're not trying very hard!
They need a new Juice.
Agreed!
Yessssss
Or the old one even?
Yes, Leatherman should revive the Juice Line
They should call it the Juicier
I'm all for the colors, I get bored with plain black or polished but match them, not 2 different colors. I really like the different pouch colors

Question, HVAC: Which multitool do you personally carry? Thanks!

Thank you so much HVAC!! Great idea on getting one for my daughters!! I have 4 daughters 🤯🤣
Christmas presents, check. LoL!
I love the brown, ordered it last night 👍🏻🇮🇪
Colors?!? What about improving their scissors? What about a knifeless skeletool? What about a new squirt?
Leatherman has lost the plot.

My goat multitool has removable scales so im not locked into the color. takes like 5 minutes to switch them. leatherman should start doing that

Did they change the blade to a sheepsfoot? I wonder if new rebars will get the same treatment
The blade has changed I believe due to people complaing it was dangerous if it fell open a bit.
