Why does the military change uniforms so often? It doesn’t seem fair to the soldiers who then have to pay to replace their uniforms which are still in good condition.
@@patrickmac9403 Officers only get $368, trust me you are still paying out of pocket. Enlistees get $429 Basic and $550 Standard. (These numbers are rounded.)
Not gonna lie I can’t wait to be on a base after I go to basic and tech school there’s just so much stuff right there to buy that normally you’d have to get online.
Um, I beg to differ. They’re great for winter weather but not for hot and humid climate. You need to buy the Belleville One Xeros for summer weather. They weigh less than 16 ounces.
I shall answer 1 year later. Answer is Yes and No. The Military issues a pair every said amount off time, Can't speak for the Army,Marines,Air force but I can for the Navy. In the Navy, every year the Navy gives you a Uniform Allowance, for the purpose of buying new uniforms and said add-on's. If you need something within the year, such as new NWU III's, or a New Patch, etc. Then you need to buy it yourself. Important note: Any damage to your uniform is your responosibilty, as the Navy (Among other branches) expects you to maintain your uniforms for one+ year(s). I might be mistaken with how it works in the Marines, Army and Airforce, bit in the Navy, and I'm pretty sure in the coast Guard, it works in said ways.

They give you a uniform allowance so they are paying for your uniform not the military personal.
