My son is in tech school now but he’s heading to this base at the end in February next year, this is a beautiful place and base, it makes me happy knowing that my son is going to be there, thank you for this video, I like the introduction music and the professionalism to make it.

@@777Chargerfan Hi! He was supposed to be send there but there was a change of orders for him at last minute and he was sent to Japan instead, and that’s almost a year now, he’s still in Japan and probably for 3 more years, he loves it tough.
The dorms at Nellie have changed so much from when I lived there in the 80’s. Looks great.

@@ziadajam5433 Because I didn’t have a roommate and instead of being 5 minutes from work I was driving 45 minutes to an hour back and forth everyday. Since you all up in my kookaid!
@@yanniworldwide3634 🤣 I just thing it’s funny. Never heard someone prefer being in the dorms. Not like u can find a couple thousand different roommates. I’m splitting a 5 bedroom 2800 sq/ft home for 450 a month
good video. lol, I'm here at Nellis, those are the new dorms, they also still have the older dorms people get put in.
Wow! What a difference from my dorm in 70-72. 3 floors, 2 men per room, bunks like the ones at Lackland, 3 wall lockers, table & 2 chairs, common latrine, day room with one TV, laundry room only w/2 machines. My last year, single E-4s and up were allowed to move off base. A 2 bedroom furnished apt. was $150-$160 per month. We got housing and separate ration allowances. Our complex was full of hot women, showgirls and cocktail waitresses.
I came from Randy’s channel. AF firefighting is the one thing I wanna the dream of mine might sound funny but firefighting has been in the family so why not take a step further. I won’t try to be annoying but my Jr an Sr year in high school might be asking some questions. Love the videos can’t wait for more keep up the awesome content bro!!💪🏽🔥🔥

Nothing like the barracks/dorms I lived in in my time. I was married when I was at Nellis (1989 - 1994) but the dorms weren't that nice then.

I got Creech as my next assignment. These look miles better than Kadena.
My son lived in that dorm for about 8 months and they needed him to move out to make room for the new arriving Airman .
So he got a housing allowance and ended up purchasing a condo in town.
He is renting a bedroom to another Airman.
Very smart of him. Great investment

What pt test do USAF Firefighters have to do in the Fire Academy which are Air Force Specific not like cpat but like the army when they require the firefighters to do a heavy pt test?
So far our PT test is the same as any other job/AFSC. Ive heard of possible changes coming to the pt test. As for tech school, we did some after school pt. Just to keep us in good shape

I know what air force barracks look like but I need to see some Marine barracks so when it’s time to choose I can make a decision.

Not all the dorms. They typically put you in dorms by squadron. Chances are you could very well get one like this one

Hello! I’m currently in tech school and will be stationed in Creech but living in Nellis. Do you have any info on creech or how big the RPA squadron will be?
Unfortunately I don't have any info on Creech besides the fact that its separated from Nellis; Which you already know of.

How common is it to have two cars on base?
Its possible I think man. Each base could be different but for the most part, We don't have to register our vehicles with the base so
as a firefighter do you have to sleep and stay at the fire station or do y’all get a dorm off the bat ?
We sleep at the fire station in bunk rooms
Is firefighter a job that's in demand in the air force? thinking of doing this as a job in the ANG and keep the videos coming very interesting thanks
here and there it becomes in demand. Its just usually hard to land sometimes. Thank you for the support

If you want the job guaranteed it’s easy to do with ANG. When I spoke to my ANG recruiter back in 2015 there just so happened to be an opening at the fire dept at my guard base and I chose to do that. I’m currently deployed right now and am working with active duty Air Force firefighters along with the Air Force reservist firefighters. It’s awesome. Guard bases have fire departments that have civilians that work there full time as well. I work full time at mine as a civilian and do my drill weekends there when our base has our monthly drill weekend. It’s not a bad gig

@@taism.8133 Im actually not stationed there lol. I was there for a TDY. I do know that it offers a lot more than my base (FE Warren). Nellis is right in Las Vegas. That alone offers a lot to do. The base has a pretty big bx and a shopette that's 24 hours. My base doesn't have any of this. With that said, you also are a few hours driving distance from other big cities such as LA, Phoenix and San Diego.
