i'm not in your class, but i am a 10th grader failing my ennglish ll class bc i haven't been reading this book until i found out there's audiobook on youtube. I was on chapter 8 and im on chapter 15. My test on this book is thursday, march 24 and today is monday, march 21. I've caught up in the matter of less than 24 hours. -thanks
I read the first part of Things Fall Apart and loved it, this book is so interesting. Your voice and characters are great and really help bring the story to life-I love it!
I am a teacher who uses your videos to help with the instruction of the book. Can you provide more information about the true story of Abame? I can't find anything about it.
I think the name of the actual village is Ahiara. Check this out: www.google.com/amp/s/africamissingpuzzlepieces.wordpress.com/2011/02/15/abame-or-ahiara/amp/
Hey, I am an English teacher and have linked your reading for my kids to access if they do not want to read on their own. In the reading of chapter 15 you mention that you do an activity about the true story that the Abame incident is based on (Ahiara- 1905). I usually give the kids a reading and activity to do about genocide at this point in the book, but was wondering if you would be willing to share your activity with me. Let me know!
Hey Hannah, I am glad to hear you found a use for these videos! I haven't actually taught Things Fall Apart since I made these recordings. At this point, I can't remember doing an activity about the Abame massacre. Sorry, I wish I could help more.
