MY FAVOURITE PLACES IN EXMOOR 🇬🇧 (Dunster Castle + Southwest Coastal Path)

- In this video we explore the Exmoor Region of England in the United Kingdom! Watch as we go to Dunster Castle, which is considered one of the most haunted castles in The UK, and walk through Dunster Village, which is considered one of the oldest Medieval Villages in England. We also go to the highest point of Exmoor, called Dunkery Beacon, and follow along a portion of the Southwest Coastal Path from Bossington Hill to Porlock Weir.

My grandparents were the first admins of Dunster castle, back in the eighties i spent every summer living in the castle. The room that your wife won’t sleep in for $500 was my parents bedroom and I slept in the room next to them. We took baths in that giant tub behind you 😊I love the castle, but there was definitely areas that creeped me out and I always rushed past them. My grandmother first told me when I was an adult, that she had heard and seen ghosts during her time there!

In the Victorian kitchen A servent girl was once crushed by the dumwaiter and is seen crouching down near it
And in the 1960s kitchen a disembodied foot is seen sometimes

This was a lovely video, i love the counties of Somerset, Dorset, Cornwall and Devon they are just beautiful, i went to North and South Devon a few years ago (Dartmouth, Brixham Harbour and Lynton & Lynmouth, Clovelly etc) and also minehead and Dunster in Somerset loved it all didn't want to leave!
It really such an incredibly beautiful area!! We visited North Devon a few weeks ago and Cornwall last week and have some videos of both places coming soon!!

I enjoy taking a steam train to Minehead from Bishops Lydeard. A beautiful part of the world. Lovely seeing Dunster, the medieval town is a nice place to stop for tea, or the periwinkle tea shop in the village of Selworthy Green close by. I hope it’s still there.
If I’m not mistaken then place in Selworthy is still there! We visited but didn’t film unfortunately. This region of the UK is incredibly beautiful!
@@SirKonrad Oh yes Selworthy is but the tea shop was closed during Covid restrictions (it was my retreat during the pandemic) and I did wonder if it reopened afterwards. I shall have to pop by and investigate (their cream teas were delicious).

Yes! My parents have lived in the area for 7 years so I’m quite familiar with blue anchor and Minehead where the train comes in!
That was the Bristol Channel you saw, no such thing as the British Channel 🙂
My mistake! I did learn eventually that it’s the English Channel in the south and the Bristol Channel separating Wales!

I’ve been to Dunster castle a few times it wasn’t creepy, I hung around the room’s on my own there were some noise’s and creeks, but then I’m 170 years old?….
Yeah we read online about some haunted stories but really didn’t get that feeling when we were there. Beautiful castle though!
