The animatronic sharks in this movie were an absolute marvel of technology and art. So incredibly realistic. By far the best animatronic creations i've ever seen.
the sequel is a remake because it's mostly a copy of the oginal the same thing happens new people are trap at a facility and some of the characters almost look the same
You know back then when we were in the year of 1999, Deep Blue Sea was the first shark movie I ever saw and it was like a sci-fi horror movie and it's Rated R, and then when I was beginning to watch it and it didn't even scared me not one little bit, and I didn't get scared of the shark attacks, and this was like the best shark movie I ever saw and it was awesome and I like it.
This song and film will always has a special place in my heart and I just love how it appears when ot comes to the last shark when it gets to the part where Carter grabs the sharks fin and is riding as it swims towards the fence

My favorites are "The 6th Day" (best track: "Adam Goes Home") and "Armageddon" (best track "Launch"). If you want something a little different, try "Flyboys" (where he trades his electric guitar in for a pennywhistle). While Rabin's work is distinctive, you may also want to try some works by film composer James Newton Howard, who sometimes nudges towards a similar sound, you are looking for. (and might I suggest the track "Three Years Later" from the movie "Vertical Limit" (which, alas, is really the breakout one for that score)? ). And Rabin, being a major rock musician by background, his melodies often lend themselves to that genre. So if you haven't heard the Nightwish rock cover that combines this melody with Zimmer's lead theme for "Crimson Tide", you really have to.
This is still #1 or #2 best shark horror movie ever made JAWS 1 and 2 was and is still legendary but DEEP BLUE SEA was great as well and sadly it was the last great shark horror movie we last had
I completely agree the recent shark ones even the Meg kinda fall short in comparison jaws 1 and 2 still hold their place but the ost to deep blue sea is something else entirely and not to mention the way the enhanced mako sharks hunt down the people trapped with them is terrifying in itself.

Choosing macho sharks over conventional Great Whites shows the genius of the writers. Its not the size dude, its the jaws. Do u hear it JAWS, its the jaws. (no pun intended)
Except that mako sharks have teeth adapted to catch slippery preys and not to cut meat like the ones of a great white shark. But yeah, it's nice to have other sharks, also, it doesn't really matters when said shark is the size of a bus.
A good swimmer swims in a pool at about 6 or 7 km/h, which is an ocean with 5 km swells, and a great white shark in the sea is capable of 40 km/h. This moment in this soundtrack gives me thoughts of this as I try to swim 50 meters back to shore, but a shark 300 meters away smelled my blood. And here begins the beating of its own record over 50 meters. The shark swims 8 times faster.
Jaws is my favorite movie of all time. The score is fucking iconic. Everytime u see a shark or ur at the beach you'll be hummong the theme. However I will be lying if I said this theme doesnt sound more more vicious and menacing especially the last 40 seconds

Can’t believe this movie is now 25 years old. I remember walking through Costco in the 90s and seeing all the 25th Anniversary Jaws VHS for sale. I thought man what an old movie. This movie was actually the first R rated movie I got to see in the theater. I remember going to see this like it was yesterday.
