Great video, I am currently working on a swap to the RS3 DQ500 box in a VR6 Passat, with a Tiguan Mech unit to match the PQ platform. do you have a link to where those tube can be purchased?

George: Really wish you showed the order those tubes go in. Now that you have done them recently, are both the long skinny ones at the top or the bottom? Also there's a torque order and sequence for the mechatronic so it sits flush and flat and its very low torque. Powering it on with the ratchet isn't a great idea. Its pretty delicate.

Hello, is there somewhere on the interner manuals how to repair, change things in theese geraboxes ? I am planning to change clutch plates and with that change interanl oil filter, check forks maybe check bearings. My have 253 000km original condition
George im replacing my transfer box on the Rs3 8v, all Exhaust / Propshaft / Subframe etc removed ,Please tell me what im doing wrong because i can't get it to budge off the Gearbox.
Great job in the rebuild. I made a hybrid DQ250 02E myself and it's done well. I've learned the hard way having to much fluid can burn clutches, to little can destroy the mechatronics so always make sure you are a close as possible. I'm having to replace clutches on mine again... Curious why didn't you all transfer the bearing races to the other bell housing? Are you worried at all about potential failure?
Great question, we didn’t see the need to swap anything over as the new bell housing is really the original piece with the OEM bearings. But, it’s definitely worth a discussion/debate on what the best practices are in these cases.
@@MalakaMotorSports if you didn’t see any witness marks or groves then I don’t see where it would be a problem. Like you guys it was my first time opening a case the last time as well so i was super cautious.
This fluid means that the clutches are burn...and you will need replace them again! Remember that...because you dont make adjustment to them on the beginning!🙂

Looking to buy a rs3 with built engine kf 770hp and 700lb ft but with stock transmission, is it gonna last?

To clarify I've been told to always keep races with their bearings so that's why I'm asking
