There could be some stupid jokes about them being so magnificently masculine that bullets sway away from them or something like that. Too bad i'm way too lazy to do anything with this idea but if someone likes it feel free to steal it from me.
It wasn't a cannon. The ultimate BS Ending looked like the effect of a Wave Motion Cannon (named after the main weapon of Star Battleship Yamato), where a massive beam disintegrates a fleet of ships. They actually channeled all of there energy into the radar array of the ship causing it to overload and create the wave motion attack. It was one shot and the front of the ship was probably destroyed. So it's even more BS as that would be like saying overloading a microwave transmission tower will blow up a city.

But I must say that, among the other charms of this OAV, I like the end theme, which sounds like a missing Carpenters recording; thanks for playing some of it...
