well the singer at least knows how to pick a damn great band and harp player for sure. gone but not forgotten love some William Clarke! Thanks for posting!
Well, maybe the singer is not exactly "my type", but its a good tune, well done, by an excellent band. But of course, the reason Im here is just one and simple: Bill Clarke, the greatest harp player (AND superb singer too) of the last few decades no doubt!
WILLIAM CLARKE AND HIS BAND WERE GREAT PLAYERS THE VOCALIST IS AN ACTOR IT'S A GREAT GROOVE GUYS I MET WILLIAM IN THE 1980s QUIET & UNASSUMING GUY BUT GREAT MUSICIANSHIP HARMONICA AND VOCALIST EVERY SHOULD TAKE NOTE CARLOS GUITARLOS USA HIGHLAND PARK L.A. 90042
Bill was a cool dude, very tough and very funny. He and Hollywood Fats were two great blues musicians of the 80's and 90's in the LA area. I miss them both.
Of course the band is awesome, William Clarke is/was second to none and the singer is a soap opera star. That's great, but nobody seems to get the message of the lyrics to this song or maybe nobody cares. 18 years later and nothing has changed.
Damn, this is NOT what I expected. I wonder what the story was up to the tune and I wonder how Clarke felt about this...was it just one more paying gig for him? The ending fell flat but on the whole it wasn't bad. I was pulled in by the title of the video.
Somehow, when I was trying to respond to a comment...I deleted it. Opps. But here is what blake46long had to say - "Just because you can carry a tune and growl in a designer leather jacket doesn't mean you are a Blues singer. Sigh. Clarke's band kicks ass, of course. If you're going to do a vanity project, you might as well hire the best to make you look good."
Donnie, William Clarke had a great band. I saw him play in this really cool club, in Soulard, in Saint Louis. Then again in Carbondale, Illinois. Zach, zunis, was on guitar. Two great shows.
Amazing Clarke. It's like 2 different planes- this corny song being sung by a soul-less lounge lizard while at the same time there's this deep blues playing going on. One of Bill's better solos, in fact. Not a wasted note, beautifully constructed and played with enormous power. The whole thing is like an American Idol show filmed at Theresa's.
Mr William Clark harmonica gangster , everybody listens when he talks ! Wonderful band ! !

I agree with Blake. (sigh indeed). William Clarke should've been in the movies as a hit-man. He looks and sounds like such a KILLER.
I never saw this before, this is is a great WC clip. Great sound!! WC you were the greatest!

Great stuff as always when William Clarke and his band was involved! I beg for more of this, anyone?

Hey Ron...U sound GREAT on Bass my man!
video may be trying to feature the singer. it's actually about the great William Clarke!
@philipwight he is the brother of guitar player Zach Zunis.
He was some kind of soap opera star I guess on TV in the 80's
and 90's.
Donnie,

A "soul-less lounge lizard"?
I agree - it is hard to hit the up button when a "TV Star" is singing the lead. I just wanted to hear Bill.
The head is actually from a blues/jazz standard called "Jumpin The Blues"....
Great band!, but the singer (ugh!)...reminds me of Route 66...Kookie, Kookie lend me your comb
Clarke was great!
I used to say Zach always looked like his carotid artery was about to pop!
was Eddy Clarck on Drums in this one?
positive
What a band ! What a clown in front.
When your singing voice sucks, crank up that reverb. Love the band. William Clarke kicks ass.
I like the lyrics, I get it. This was when it was still ok to be patriotic. The singer is awful. The band is great. Love me some William Clark!
God bless the patriots!
