    I have this guitar. Had it 3 years. Its a great reliable gigging guitar in every sense. Nice to play too. Only gripe is the jack input is not in a comfortable place for me personally...I keep catching it. solved it by using Xvive wireless system but normal leads are a problem for me on this. Otherwise a bargain indeed and great work/job from Yamaha

    Thanks for the review! It would have been nice to hear the guitar being played without any amplification, just to get an idea about how silent it really is. It could have easily fit before or after all the settings of piezo/thingy and reverb/chorus.

      I have had it for years. Same as an unplugged electric guitar. I just did maintenance on it after many years of service. It has held together well considering the abuse I put it through......flights, hot, cold, etc, etc.

    Gorgeous! But, if it was me, for a travel guitar I'd lose the headstock and put the tuning gears below the bridge like an Erlewine Lazer. Save half a foot on the length.

      but i would definitely want to use the FS-TA in a live performance for that nice real reverb tune or for an outing... that sound is SO RICH.

    I kind of imagine with the double a batteries though that if you're using the acoustic a lot more you probably go through more double a batteries than you would a 9 volt. 9 volts in the guitar like that have a pretty decent life expectancy

    • @davecarsley8773
      @davecarsley8773 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Most of us who play shows go through the same amount of batteries no matter what kind they are because you put in fresh batteries for EVERY show no matter what. It sucks because this almost certainly isn't necessary, but I've never encountered a player who takes the chance of old batteries during a gig.

    • @sm3llyd3c
      @sm3llyd3c 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good for travel practice, as the 'body' disassembles and it still has a normal scale length/string spacing. For people that move around a lot for work or school I imagine it's pretty handy, but otherwise it's not massively useful. It's the only reason I'm looking at one myself, as it seems like a great solution for working away from home without annoying other hotel goers/roommates without having to worry about the bulk of an acoustic or the weight of an electric.
