Their very light. And battery lasts. Cameras are great. Finger print is fast. And on the back. LG is very low key the best brand* And LG 68 is betten than the S10. get the g8. im getting it soon 😃

Also the selfie camera on the G8 would be better than the selfie camera on the s10 simply from the 1.5f aperture, let in more light, you'd get a better picture even at 8mp plus the IR camera vs the 10/12 with a 1.9f aperture. Some serious bias here... I got both phones. The G8 has face unlock and "fast" charge too. Shoulda won that one. The G8 has geo-tagging too. Should've won that edge. The G8 has an oil resistant body structure. The G8 is also P-OLED, not standard Amoled so the screen can't burn out and can't have pixel damage without a crack thru the digitizer. Then for display resolution, the G8 magically becomes an S10 so you can praise Samsung. The G8 expands to 1 TB. The fingerprint scanner is always right there in an easier access. It also charges using 21 watts. To try so hard to sell people on the S10... Clearly there was a pay off! 🤦🏾♂️ Didn't mention the quad dac either...
Life is good with LG. I have an LG V30 and its still running strong. Battery performs just like when it was new. Phone doesnt lag or glitch either. None of my LG phones have ever dissapointed the only reason i change phones is for the new features.

@@installerman40 Im not saying your wrong, I believe you. Iv'e just never had an issue. Even with my s7 Edge or my s5. My s2 was a bit finicky sometimes with Bluetooth. My Note syncs with my car, Bluetooth headphones and Bluetooth speaker without issue. Ever. Guess Im lucky.
Plus, you can always expand the storage space with a micro SD card, which is not that expensive to get nowadays. So having to compare internal space doesn't really matter at this point. I believe you can expand up to 2 TB for the G8.
Love the fact that most people that commented here, like the G8 more than the S10. Both r excellent phone imo. I m gonna get one of them in June when I m due for upgrade. Still haven't decided which one tho. Cant go wrong with either tbh.

It's a personal gripe but as much as I like to LOOK at curved screens I don't like to use them. Transitioning to landscape I'll often hit the screen 🙄. So looking at it vs using has been a dismal experience both with my OP7 pro moreso and with S10. And finally next month with beta Android Q release I'd have so much OS envy untill "some time in 2020" if I stuck with the S10. But LG is on the list 😉 for that release! I know it's all subjective...Also a few above have noted how the audio is overlooked. I've actually bought it and kept the S10 for 12 days... We'll see how the G8 goes. Lg Is very good phone for the price. Phones today are well overpriced and we rarely use it to talk and have unlimited access to talk and text. I will stick to my phone until it breaks before I upgrade. Long time galaxy user here!
Owning the g5, I used the FM Radio function a lot in my workshop without network attachment. Also the only thing I wished was an improvement in the wide cam. With manual video control. The g8 has all this. It is an awesome phone. If this comparison dug a little more the G8 would prove to be better.

Lest we forget the LG's 2 year warranty. I paid $619 for mine...less $310 off for adding a much-needed line of service. Total was $309. Most people don't know how to get the best sound out of the speaker. Go into settings and ramp up the equalizer to max on all. Makes a huge difference. Now if I can only figure out how to get rid of that awful green call timer.

I have the lg g8 thinq on at&t I had the note 9 on at&t also both great phones had no problem with note 9 nor my now g8. My phones never have issues with speed nor calling. I think it Depends on how you take care of your phone I dont download lots of vids and music if i want to listen to music i have Pandora, you tube for vids aswell or use the tablet
Lg G8 is really a great phone. I especially like the camera and the stereo sound. Battery life also is good. But a major downside is the charging time. My previous phone LG G5 (2800 mah)used to take 50-55 mnts to charge from 30%-100% (Type C-Fast charging). LG G8 is 3500 mah and is taking 2.30 hrs to charge from 30%-100% ( Type C-Fast Charging). Really disgusting and so frustrating. Thinking that it is the problem of my phone, I returned the first one I bought and replaced with another copy. Even that one takes the same time to charge full. So the problem is of the phone..I can't believe LG did not test it before release. Even regular phone chargers would not take that long to charge 70%.. Is there anyone else who is facing the same issue with G8?
It's funny to me that most of the comments praise Lg and bash the s10. There about the same with subtle differences. But the real fact is that Lg will never sell near the amount of g8 that Samsung will with the s10. Wait a month and the lg will be 1/2 off.
Small error on g8 wording changing to S10 shows the bias on this video. Look carefully. Anyway was a dumb video that lacked a lot of information pertaining the G8 and the person who did the video lack knowledge on screens. Both are great phones but the G8 have a lot more. How can you determine screen to body ratio on the s10? Because some of the screen is on the side Should not the side bezel on the phone be fractured in?
@@davidcolegrove3407 If that is so should not the bezels on the side of the s10 also be included as the body ratio, or do we give s10 a freebie there. where the screen is and to and bottom bezel if straight and flat. rounded corners should take away from the resolution and diameter claims. obviouslu any hole or notch makes all resolution, ppi, and diameter rating totally false, if only by a small amount. Most phome makers do admit that is the fine print, including samsung and apple if you look for it, but youtubers NEVER mention it. Screens on the side should have a seperate screen to body ration for those curved sides in addition to the flat fron face, to be fair.
People should learn from this ghy and make simple videos like this for all phones except add in the end reall phone walkthrough in the end would've been perfect Still though thanks for the time you put in for the video

How can you determine screen to body ratio on the s10?
Because some of the screen is on the side

rounded corners should take away from the resolution and diameter claims.
obviouslu any hole or notch makes all resolution, ppi, and diameter rating totally false, if only by a small amount.
Most phome makers do admit that is the fine print, including samsung and apple if you look for it, but youtubers NEVER mention it.
Screens on the side should have a seperate screen to body ration for those curved sides in addition to the flat fron face, to be fair.

LG uses a different technologie but the difference is very small. And the difference between S10 display and G8 display is very small

Body structure: what about the MIL-STD-810G on the G8 that S10 is missing?
Display: sooooo dynamic amoled is better than p-oled just because of the fancy name?
Camera: doesn't the G8 has geotagging? And even if it hasn't... is geotagging (that nobody uses) more important than the laser af?
Front camera: i guess 2 more megapixels are better than f1.7 rather than f1.9 right? cause who likes better photos in the dark..Also TOF sensor not even mentioned -.- just like the incredible audio that the quad-dac supports...
