I'll tell you why S10 has better battery life, Sony has better display and to pull of that kind of resolution in a smartphone is going to cost battery consumption. Battery life goes to the S10+ here.

I have both wireless and wired. I use wired like 90% of the time. I only used wireless when working out or using power tools. Hi res is better in wireless? You're contradicting yourself. Wired will always have better res and even with aptx on wireless it's still not on par with wired. Educate yourself about this matter before you make yourself look stupid. Xperia 1 has 4K OLED HDR display. When you put 'dynamic OLED'' on S10 and 'OLED' on Sony, it clearly exposes your bias or lack of knowledge. Way to downplay the huge advantage Sony has in display.
On such a small device there is absolutely no point at all having a 4k screen. YOU WILL NOT SEE ANY DIFFERENCE! It's sometimes hard to see the difference on a good Hd screen and 2k! Samsung make the best phone screens, no one, including Sony come close. This is a fact. I'm not a Samsung fan I'm.just saying it as it is. Absolutely clueless. I have an Xperia XZ Premium where I switched the full native display to 4K HDR using the available mode switch method on the 5.5 inch screen and the difference is HUGE. Everything is a lot more crisper and a lot more sharper and vivid.

In my opinion, the first 2 comparisons should be given to Sony because i like the long dimensions which makes xperia 1 so special. Therefore, two points will be transfered to sony, and the score is 9:9.
I currently own the Xperia XZ premium. The Xperia 1 is a huge upgrade but I'm not interested into getting a new phone. Especially for 1000 dollars. My xz premium works perfectly fine and I'm more in the marked for a RTX 2070 and for the upcoming 3rd gen Ryzen 7 work/gaming rig. And also I like to use stuff until it's totally worn out.
I used to be an xperia fan. My first phone was the Xperia Arc then I had the Arc S and Z Ultra. Which were all great phones but when they removed the headphones jack on the newer premium model. That's the deal breaker for me. Why have high end wired Sony headphones if you don't even add it for the X1. They did it for the Xperia 10/Plus they could of done it for the Xperia 1. Especially since they have high audio quality.

It's not about the cost it's about the connectivity convenience to connect and disconnect as well as audio quality. Bluetooth isn't always reliable and requires charging all the time. Also Bluetooth can face issues with audio/video syncing sometimes.

I Love that the Sony Xperia and the Nokia 9 Pureview flagships, did not join the notch and hole in the screen dumbness, and are offering real innovation in cameras and phone design. Unfortunately both need to bring back the headphone jack as there is no excuse for taking away this very useful and convenient toll for me and many others. Most TH-cam reviewers will not realize that these cameras are for those who dont mind diving into manual controls and editing after the photo to truly use their potential and get the best quality picture. They will simply compare them to the excellent lazy automatic point and shoot modes on Google apple and samsung phones and dismiss the Sony and Nokia because they are too lazy to use their unique features. But we know better.
You should not have to go into manual mode to get the best picture , paying a $ 1000 bucks for a phone , it should jump up and dance on one leg and shoot a great picture , and also have a dedicated headphone jack , a decent sized battery , and an aspect ratio that does not make look like a stick .

Absolutely clueless. I have an Xperia XZ Premium where I switched the full native display to 4K HDR using the available mode switch method on the 5.5 inch screen and the difference is HUGE. Everything is a lot more crisper and a lot more sharper and vivid.

By the way i have a sony XZ premium, and before i had a Z Ultra, and an arc before, most of my phone where sony's, and in my opinion they are the most underestimated brand out there, i personally think they should sell cheaper to attract more people but at the same time there product is quality wise on par if not better than the other so it's complicated.

In my opinion, the first 2 comparisons should be given to Sony because i like the long dimensions which makes xperia 1 so special. Therefore, two points will be transfered to sony, and the score is 9:9.
I currently own the Xperia XZ premium. The Xperia 1 is a huge upgrade but I'm not interested into getting a new phone. Especially for 1000 dollars. My xz premium works perfectly fine and I'm more in the marked for a RTX 2070 and for the upcoming 3rd gen Ryzen 7 work/gaming rig. And also I like to use stuff until it's totally worn out.

I used to be an xperia fan. My first phone was the Xperia Arc then I had the Arc S and Z Ultra. Which were all great phones but when they removed the headphones jack on the newer premium model. That's the deal breaker for me. Why have high end wired Sony headphones if you don't even add it for the X1. They did it for the Xperia 10/Plus they could of done it for the Xperia 1. Especially since they have high audio quality.

It's not about the cost it's about the connectivity convenience to connect and disconnect as well as audio quality. Bluetooth isn't always reliable and requires charging all the time. Also Bluetooth can face issues with audio/video syncing sometimes.

I Love that the Sony Xperia and the Nokia 9 Pureview flagships, did not join the notch and hole in the screen dumbness, and are offering real innovation in cameras and phone design.

Most TH-cam reviewers will not realize that these cameras are for those who dont mind diving into manual controls and editing after the photo to truly use their potential and get the best quality picture.
They will simply compare them to the excellent lazy automatic point and shoot modes on Google apple and samsung phones and dismiss the Sony and Nokia because they are too lazy to use their unique features.
But we know better.
You should not have to go into manual mode to get the best picture , paying a $ 1000 bucks for a phone , it should jump up and dance on one leg and shoot a great picture ,
