I was put on Keto for cancer (remission). I’m a couple weeks in. I was that I should consume somewhere between 20g to 50g of carbs. Thoughts? Do it for a couple months, then get more liberal with fruits?

stop telling people "if you're thriving keep doing what you're doing." People don't even know what thriving is. They don't know anything but being sick. Also, I feel like people could go decades without seeing consequences from these toxins.

Added berries and honey and things leveled out. I follow Paul's animal based diet now and it works great for me. I eat less carbs than him, around 100 grams a day. 80 percent of my diet is still meat, butter and dairy. 20% carbs, honey and fruit. So far so good! ZERO VEGGIES, TOTALLY UNNECESSARY

I retired 5yrs ago to Costa Rica. In fact, I've seen Paul at the farmers market. The 1st 3 months I was here, I lost 35lbs without even trying. In Vegas I worked out 5 days a week at crossfit and couldn't lose weight.. In 5 years, I have only gained back 10lbs and I attribute it to not eating fast food & processed food that is so prevalent in the U.S... I don't take any medication, and I'm unvaccinated.. Paul has great advice, but everyone has to see what their body reacts to. I ride my bike every day in the jungle and walk 9 dogs 2x a day for an hour! I'm 65 now and have the energy of a 40yr old!

@@DP_JR97 while he doesn’t frame it as trying to bulk, carbs can cause water retention in the muscles. If you’re working out and getting your carbs from the most healthy sources (fruit, honey, dairy) then in theory that should help muscle growth. When I was being more consistent at the gym I was seeing good results quickly. For me I let myself make excuses and get out of my routine and the carbs seem to have caused some unwanted water retention around the gut. Planning to go back into a ketogenic approach for awhile to try to stay lean and then rotate back into the Saladino style approach.

@Richguy12349 lol so the guy told the world something was safe based on his own personaly experience (generalising it to the wider public) and then after years experienced critical issues. Then he comes out as saying he was wrong and the carnivore diet caused him big issues, and you still want to see that as credible? You can't even group him into the scientific world based on that assessment because every claim was based on personal experience NOT science. If you listen to Shawn baker even he will tell you nothing about the carnivore diet is based on science (although now he's even stopped the carnivore diet, but suspiciously because of his 'jujitsu injury'.)
But anyway if your idea of someone being credible is someone who gives public health recommendations to the wider public based on his personal experiences which have a history of being flawed, then go for it buddy. It's just sad to see.

I love Paul Saladino… that he’s not afraid to change his mind. He’s not dogmatic. In 2019, the carnivore diet actually changed my life. I was chronically constipated (as well as UC symptoms) for over a decade, and when I finally took the plunge and went strict carnivore I became “normal” in 3 days and the other severe symptoms went away. I was super strict for a long time and then started adding things back in. I feel like my body did a reset. I can now tolerate certain non animal-based foods but I don’t venture far from an animal-based diet. Paul had a huge part of my journey to figuring out my health issues!! 🙏🏻❤️

I've heard so many times about losing weight to be healthy. When most people say they want to lose weight, it's the fat they really want to shed. People who build muscle mass don't feel emotionally or physically conscientious about their bodies. And having muscle mass is vital when you're older. Losing weight in muscle, however, can increase fat composition. If you're trying to lose weight, it's wise to pay attention on the type of weight you're losing.

43 year old woman here with 30 years of eczema and asthma, I have tried it all, elimination diets and Carnivore has been my saving grace!! I started Carnivore in January, I am pre menopausal with the worst hot flashes! I was at my wits end, after 5 years of my boyfriend recommending carnivore diet, I went all in. Within 2 weeks my eczema was gone and zero wheezing. The Hot flashes, gone! I deviated for a month and the hot flashes & eczema came right back. I’m 3 months back on Carnivore and I’m back to feeling amazing!! My skin looks great, I’m sleeping better! I don’t even have the desire to deviate from carnivore. It works for me!

10:05 it’s interesting because these thoughts aren’t backed by science, but I’ve always felt that we get something unique by actually cutting fruits and eating them. I don’t know *what* that is, but there’s definitely something special there
