@ye s the tendon and muscle in his arms are so tight from the intensive training he does that his arms are permanently bent

Devon is such a good dude, so down to earth. Just seems like a normal guy you'd meet in life. If you look at all of the top arm wrestlers who've been at it for a lo g time all of their arms are bent, they have just spent so much damn time with their arms bent. I mean they're pulling as hard as they can to bend their arms so it makes sense.
Some arm wrestlers do this on purpose so they can't be pinned as easily.
I was really pleasantly surprised at how fun, unique and creative Devon is. He really fits right in with Juji and Tom.
Between this and larry/Thor. TH-cam is heaven right now

He's got small triceps but massive biceps. I'm a natural bodybuilder 25 years, my arm circumference is bigger than his but his biceps are WAY bigger than mine.
CROM His brachialis muscles (which contribute arm wideness) are also not that developed.
His biceps are insane
his bciceps are hugeee. Lets not forget hes like what 6'5+ and doesnt body build. If he did he'd probably have huge triceps too.

@@1neomonkey That isn't impressive at 165. Strength doesn't scale linearly. Hell, at 165 you have to be getting to 3x bw+ to be impressive, especially when a lot of your life is gym based.

@@stefl14 That's impressive by any metric. I've only seen about 5 guys in 8 years of lifting in cookie cutter gyms that have deadlifted 4 plates or more.
If you compare it to competitive powerlifting or anyone serious into deadlifting in the industry, it's not impressive. Otherwise it is. Your view on it is just warped.
@@stefl14 - Considering that he is not a powerlifter, and has just come off of a caloric deficit (lost 35 pounds), this is excellent. Most gym goers cant even break the 300 lbs mark, and that's even weighing more than 165.
A 3X BW lift is extremely difficult and and signifies a true strength athlete no matter what body weight you're at, And 2.57x is not that far off. Plus, Tom is a natty, not sure what more you want?
Man Devon is such a blast! dude is legit legend and so damn down to earth humble! freaking arm wrestling is so intricate, so many techniques and tricks it is truly the martial arts of the arm!

So when watching arm wrestling I either have to watch someone who seems like a douchebag (Bagent, the king's moving Todd or that one dude I forget the name of. Blue eyes, balding curly blondish hair, always angry.) Or they are big dumb oafs that you'd expect to find making a career out of arm wrestling. Or they're Russian and I can't understand them.
Devon is a cool motherfucker who is smart, humble, charismatic, has a sense of humor and speaks English. And he happens to be the GOAT of non-PED arm wrestlers and while also being the face of the sport.
I wouldn't have even watched the sport if not for Devon Larratt and I think this is true for most people today. Especially new fans. It's as popular as it is cuz of this man here who is just chilling out in their garage fuckin around.

I wasn't ego challenged by Toms lift because I can still do 5 plates a few times and haven't dead lifted for 5 years and haven't lifted for about 3 ... about 4 weeks ago I went to the gym twice then anytime fitness closed when they closed the country down to save the groups of people who already have 1 foot in the grave .

To pull those figures with those non straight arms and thumbless grip without training deadlifts for years is just amazing feat in it self. Devon would have pulled that last weight if he wasnt burned out and went for straps earlier for sure. Having a failed lift has a big impact on the nervous system and also mentally. Devon should take it easy though and not go blasting deads with those non straight arms. Should figure out a good way of training so the biceps is safe. Devon here shows alot of great showmanship and sportmanship. Great content!
Yeah I guess we found the non lifter that thinks some heavy weights are not impressive unless they are atleast national pl figures. Yeah Devon is strong in his cupping hand position. But deadlifting witout conventional over hand or mixed hand grip. Pretty insane to do.
