Xbox is nothing more than a subscription model. Even though I'm critical of PlayStation and some of the decisions they've made, remastering PlayStation 4 games and selling a Pro console without a disc drive eg. At least they're keeping the industry alive.
Yeah agreed, no company should ever get off without criticism, and i have lots of it for Sony/PlayStation too, but ultimately as someone who enjoys games, PlayStation is delivering on that front time and time again, the occasional blip here and there but generally over the past 15 - 20 years they have consistently delivered top notch games, which doesnt forgive their mistakes or let them off the hook, however they will continue to have my support due to their end product - great games. Xbox on the other hand promises lots, but very rarely delivers, time after time we see, hear and have games hyped up, but when they release they are a shambles. All companies make mistakes in development - take CD Projekt Red with Cyberpunk, PlayStation with Concord, but these mistakes from other companies seem few and far between, the mistakes at Xbox are constantly repeating themselves. And now when the head of your business comes out and just says nothing is off the table/everything is being considered for other platforms, what's the point in owning an Xbox. Can just play those games elsewhere and enjoy those other platform games that are exclusive to those other consoles (Nintendo/PlayStation).
All i care about is upgrading my ps5 to the 5 pro & like 5 more games. Hopefully 2025 has some better games coming. RE2, 3 & 7 getting physical release in January is on my radar. Phantom Blade & Wolverine too. I already have both PSVR headsets.
Yeah agreed, the physical RE games are great ones to pick up early 2025, we got hopefully Wolverine next year, Ghost of Yotei, Horizon multiplayer (not a fan of multiplayer but will give this a try), Phantom Blade 0, Crimson Desert, GTA6, Death Stranding 2 - lots happen and lots more unannounced games in the pipeline too.

Phil Spencer just confirmed nothing is off the table, no red lines - every thing is on the table - EVERYTHING IS COMING TO PLAYSTATION - either watch the video or go do your research!
I doubt it will be couple of months, if they are remastering the halo games/collection or specific selected titles it will still take them some time to get them over to PlayStation, unless they have started on this quite some time ago.
It's true PlayStation will end up with pretty much everything except Nintendo games, but its dangerous not to have competing hardware in the marketplace.

That was a lie, its now been confirmed there are "NO RED LINES", nothing is off the table, read between the lines bud, its not speculation on my end, the who industry is talking and speculating about it, even well known insiders have commented on this before, the only questions is when is it happening.
Unfortunately the tech devil inside of me took over and I gave into the my own psychological demons - I ended up buying it 2021 and have hardly ever used it, complete waste of money.
I can see Microsoft eventually acquiring someone like EA with all their live service multiplayer games, that would defo have a big impact on gamepass subs especially with call of duty too and Battlefield on gamepass with FIFA/EAFc
As I understand it Microsoft is doing what's best for business in their eyes, instead of buying into the whole console war they're trying to appeal to a community of players they never have before & logically it makes sense cause there's plenty of games at Microsoft disposal PS5 owners would love to have on their platform, if Xbox fans have a problem with it they can take it up with Microsoft & the best part is this whole console war thing is over & Sony didn't have to lift a finger
Thats exactly right, Microsoft's plan is to do what they always do, place their software products in as many places as possible. This is exactly their strategy with the games, it will come at the expense of the hardware. Over time, (not straight away) they will phase out the hardware side of things, we are already seeing it with no competing mid-gen console, it's the first part. They will probably have another 2 generations of consoles if we are lucky, but within the next 5 - 10 years there will be no more Xbox console, just gamepass and MIcrosoft games. And it makes sense, they probably are the world's biggest gaming publisher along with Tencent, in order for their gaming division to ensure they have a return on investment and continued growth they need as many players/platforms/places as possible to distribute their games to. PlayStation is one of their biggest partners, not competitor now.
Nah, if all games were everywhere there is no point having all these different companies selling hardware - you only need one as they will all do the same thing. Exclusive content drives innovation and competition. Without exclusive content, there is zero point owning different console.
People want to play games - if you have specific games regardless of your hardware people will just buy into your ecosystem. Just take a look at the Nintendo Switch - weakest console/device in the current marketplace yet sells a ton of systems all year around. Why? Because if you want to play Donkey Kong, Mario, Zelda etc the only place you can play it is on Nintendo, a device that is built on the weakest industry components. (i'm not knocking it, just saying), so its not really about the hardware per say, its all about the exclusive content - this will drive people to invest in your ecosystem - once people are in then you can sell them on all nice things - 4k, 60fps, 120fps, ray tracing, subscription models, watch tv, netflix, play anywhere, strema, cloud tech, play on pc, remote play, connect to portal, play on any screen etc - all those things are nice complimentary things. If you dont have exclusive content, all those things dont matter. Simple.
@ yes but not everyone can afford to have two or three consoles and for a business point it is good strategy and I think you will find Sony will go the same route you can say the exclusive is pretty much well gone with the expectation of Nintendo
Its a personal choice, i prefer platforms to have exclusives, without exclusives the hardware will die. This is why Microsoft is going full 3rd party, they dont need the hardware, Xbox gamers dont buy games anyway so it makes sense for Microsoft to put their games everywhere.
@@BGUKKY yeah, since the original Xbox they don’t care about the gamers. Xbox 360 I had 9 of them in less than 3 months the red ring of death thank god I payed the $50 extra for protection at GameStop. But no they just like I know we suck but let see if we get any idea soon. Even me know how to make XBOX GREAT AGAIN.
There are 2 conflicting strategy's which won't work. Xbox as a brand/console needs to have some exclusives, this will ensure it builds a core base of games who buy into the platform/hardware. They then need to ensure games are released available to purchase on Xbox only (not PC, not Gampass, not Nintendo, Not PlayStation), so players buy games on Xbox and then after 1 year, or 2 years or a selected period of time those games are then released onto PC and/or gamepass. This strategy would work as it encourages to play Xbox games on the platform that can not be played anywhere else (at least for the first 1 2 3 or 4 years). All depends on the games, but if the games are good and well developed this strategy would work. However, This strategy conflicts with Microsoft's strategy of having a service provider/sales as a service/software as a service strategy. Microsoft wants a subscription based service where people pay a monthly fee in exchange for software (games). Since the gamepass numbers are flat/not growing to the numbers that Microsoft wants, and the games dont sell on Xbox due to gamepass, Microsoft is now pushing/forcing all Xbox games onto all platforms, this way they will ensure they get money for their games on other platforms. They will continue try and negotiate with PlayStation and Nintendo to try and get Gamepass onto their platforms, however since it gamepass conflicts with PS Plus and Nintendo's shop, that won't work, therefore Microsoft will keep providing games on all platforms to ensure they recoup money on investment.
It's not Phil's vision, its Microsoft's vision to have games everywhere, Phil is just the mouthpiece of Microsoft. I left Xbox's ecosystem years ago, zero appeal whatsoever.
So the ABK buy that all the Xbots were cheering killed Xbox? I wonder who told them that the buy was not only bad for playstation but to Xbox? I Ah i remember who was We the evil playstation nation who didn't want that Microsoft "compete"
The ABK deal was to ensure Microsoft had big killer gamers in gamepass, some gamesales lost but some some gamepass subscribers gained. Microsoft's vision is to acquire as much as possible and drop it into gamepass, and releasing games that are first party day and date is stopping game sales, that's why Xbox has that tag that their gamers dont buy games - the numbers just dont lie, they dont buy games. As to why the hardware is failing, its pretty obvious, when there is zero reason to own an Xbox, seeing all games go everywhere tells you that you might as well get a PC and PlayStation, that's where you can enjoy the best of both worlds, unless your a fan of Nintendo, is so get that as well, but you sure dont need an Xbox console to play those games. just play them on Nintendo, PC or PlayStation.
Well its seems xbox has to rely on brong games to other platforms because xbox players dont buy the games to create enough revenue lol 🤣😆 and now they just want a monopoly crazy and sony is the anti consomer ok
Yeah the games will be coming to all platforms. It makes sense given Microsoft is one of the worlds biggest publishers and this now just confirms what Microsoft is going to be doing with its Xbox games
F interpretation of every word that Phil Spencer says is legitimate Xbox as its own brand wouldn’t be in the position it is now I don’t know what sort of contract they gave for Spencer but I would’ve broken a contract a long time ago however I love consoles end of, but when a publisher promises all these games and years later none of them come and you know for a fact some of them are gonna end up on another console Then why not? Why not accept? They do have the capacity I know this affect to publish great games either by themselves or bring other people maybe not the Asian market cause they’ve proven as well but so someone’s got the console hard give it another 510 years somebody else to bring out a console. Why not stick to what you can do? make good games Maybe do something Sony hasn’t done and bring out almost perfect keyboard and mouse but only uses can plug into their console this exclusive and then people can actually understand games like age of empires the way it’s supposed to be understood and played. I think Microsoft still has a gaming future. They proved that the day they really start. I believe it was star answer Very short but great little gang age vampires payable halo obviously don’t give a crap software guys is what I would say and share it. Why not? I believe with effort you could recoup all your losses and it will not that you really need to care about them but it’ll be very cool to be another console owner and play some great games in context. I did have a series X no point in keeping it it’s not like everyone was going to a midnight queue to play flight simulator is it? I know it’s a bit of rain. You don’t have to read it. I’m not an Xbox. I just think they could get rid of Phil Spencer and start making money. I would buy an Xbox handheld without consideration but it would need to be expensive and it would need to have the power to play great games not PC quality but yeah, I’d buy that even think about it. Great interesting video thanks for that fella.
Thanks for your insight and for your comments, really appreciate it. It's strange to see Xbox games going to multiple platforms, regardless of that some people are saying exclusive games to a platform are crucial for a platform to survive. It doesn't have to be exclusive forever, but a decent length of time so that it gives gamers an excuse and opportunity to buy into that console. With Xbox games going everywhere you dont actually need an xbox anymore to play their games, which is really sad. I love buying different consoles and have pretty much everyone since the 90's. Whilst i beleive Microsoft will continue with Xbox hardware, it will only be for 1 or 2 more generations, after that they will just go full 3rd party and release their games everywhere, which from a microsoft perspective makes perfect sense, i am not knocking that, but it conflicts with the Xbox strategy of trying to entice gamers onto the platform, the platform doesnt have anything unique or of value or quality which you couldn't get elsewhere the MS/Xbox strategies are conflicting.

This strategy would work as it encourages to play Xbox games on the platform that can not be played anywhere else (at least for the first 1 2 3 or 4 years). All depends on the games, but if the games are good and well developed this strategy would work.
However,
This strategy conflicts with Microsoft's strategy of having a service provider/sales as a service/software as a service strategy.
Where is flight simulator already?
Really? Flight Sim?
so cool.
Cheers
Xbox sucks
Yep
xbox is an ecosystem games as a service on any device this is the vision phil spencer had if you don't like it leave xbox.
I
Ah i remember who was
We the evil playstation nation who didn't want that Microsoft "compete"
