    Gary, thank you so much for giving us an update on Steve. It's so awesome to hear that he gave his former Journey bandmate Ross Valory such a nice shout-out regarding his new album and that he's been hanging out with Trev Lukather. Steve is a very classy, kind-hearted gentleman and he's always so supportive of other artists/musicians. Not only is he my favourite #1 artist of all time, but he's a beautiful human being. Thanks so much for sharing. God bless you, Gary.

    Steve Perry is always a kind hearted person. Always giving credit where credit is due. He never brags about his music and always humble. Even when people tell him he has one of the greatest rock and roll voices! That's nice that he gave a nice compliment of Ross valory. I don't believe Steve ever held a grudge. He just needed to leave the band, find his own way again. I think what Steve Perry is doing these days as far as music goes, works for him now. Not like the younger days of Journey. He is still in my book a great singer!

    Even hearing about Steve back in the day when even he says that he would have "done things differently", you don't get that he was a mean/nasty guy. He just always sounds like a man with a BIG and kind heart. I would LOVE to just sit and chill with him!! Thank you as always, Gary, for keeping us updated on our favorite guy!! You are INVALUABLE!!!

    How cool would it be if Steve Perry, Ross Valory, and Steve Smith did a project together. Heck ... even get Greg Rolie on board!

    It’s nice that Steve is helping with all kinds of artists. He seems to enjoy it plus, he has the knowledge to help.
    Maybe one day he will come out with some of his other music again but he’s enjoying what is doing right now and that’s the most important thing
    Take care and God bless🙏🏼

    I can see Steve doing songs with Ross and Steve Smith. Even Steve said in an interview that if he'd known then what he knew now (RNRHOF interview) that he never would have replaced them for Raised on Radio. And they were brought back for Trial By Fire. He also took their side when they sued Neal and Jon. I can see it. Just never the other two.

    These guys have so much going on for themselves to hold on to something that petty is just not realistic. It has been so long. Meanwhile, I listened to Ross's album and it is so creative and really fun. I could maybe imagine a certain tenor's voice but sounds like Perry is quite content. And Ross's album needs nothing more. I will say if you have birds in the house like I have probably don't play the first track where they can hear it my birds are still chirping.

    Seems to this outsider that the biggest issue in the Journey drama is Neil Schon and possibly his new wife. With more members and hired hands coming in and out of that band that give Yes a run for their money, I have found that Neil - titan as he is as a guitarist - must be an egomaniac of the highest order.

  • @rufusmedrano2962

    Let’s see what happens between Schon and Perry

  • @ellenbuck49
    @ellenbuck49 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I don't know what exactly happened back then but at least i don't think it was steve that fired vallory and smith i think it was neil schon who did the firing because steve might have been up set about that and then it was just part of The reason he left leaving schon and cain for which they had to disband for awhile till schon could put another band together and he just couldn't do it till steve temporarily came back in 95. Steve cranked out an album with hits and when given an ultimatum said no way so he left for good. Vowing he would never work with Schon again and he hasn't. Neil seems to think he knows better than anyone else but he doesn't or else journey would have been great long b4 steve.

  • @beckimollareza8291
    @beckimollareza8291 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Ya know what’s interesting? I’ve always felt that the only reason Neal, Jonathan etc want to be friends again with Steve is to get him back on stage. Or to get him back into Journey one way or another. It feels more of a way to use him not organically friend each other again. Because ‘Journey’ may make money touring and all and selling shirts, but they haven’t had any hits since Steve and any notoriety really since Steve except with Steve or fights or bringing in new lead singers and that ended with the fantastic Arnel but they still don’t have any hits. And anytime any Journey songs are used they aren’t any ‘new in the last 20 years’ songs. They are Perry years. Always Perry years. Never before, which were great underground years of the 70’s so no shade. But Perry years were Journey. Fact. And the book closed. And I believe Neal and Jonathan desperately want it opened one more time. And don’t realize the answer is still no. At least when he does music with himself he shoots from the hip and tells everyone his truth about it and does it his way and doesn’t have to tour. He promoted. He did videos, he had fun and hard work but it was a labor of love and a promise kept. And he hasn’t stopped. He’s collaborated, and advised, produced, co-written... why does he need to be around people who disrespect each other by suing and fighting all the time? “Anyway, what was I saying...” 😊 just me. I think it would be a waste. That’s not to say I wouldn’t support it but I like his solo stuff and we all know something is coming with the change of record label etc with that rolling stone article a few months ago. 🤞🏼

    It's unbelievable that you mention that Trev is Johnathon Cains son -in-law, but fail to mention that his father is legendary session musician and member of Toto, Steve Lukather? I don't think Steve Perry hanging out with Trev has anything to do with Johnathon Cain
