Join us in this video as we demonstrate everything it takes to get the axiom X slingshot from unboxing all the way to ready to shoot. It's not hard.
Your Axiom X slingshot comes assembled. All you need to do is tune it into your desired settings.
When you set up your Axiom X slingshot, you can adjust the fork width and the width of the grip. Don't be discouraged if this takes you a few tries to get it perfectly dialed in. That is part of the fun and what is so special about this slingshot frame. Take your time and make it fit your specific desires.
Once you adjust the sizing of the slingshot, you can install your bands. As always, make sure that you know your draw length and therefore the active band length that you need for your slingshot shooting. Once you know your active band length, you can trim your bands to the appropriate length.
And once your vans are trimmed to the correct length, installing them is as simple as can be on the new Axiom X slingshot. Just loosen up the fasteners on the forktips (you don't even need to remove them) and slide your band into the groove. Tighten them down and you are good to go!
As you know, this is a dedicated over-the-top slingshot frame. It does not shoot through the forks. And as you also know, don't ever shoot rocks from this frame.
Hand tight is just right. As with any fastener on any SimpleShot slingshot, you do not need to torque down tightly. If you tighten too far you risk damaging the threads. Just snug it down until it doesn't move.
That's it. Now your new Axiom X is all set up and ready to shoot. Enjoy!

I have had mine awhile, fitted it with the 3/8 bandsets and wow, I usually shoot 3/8 ammo so those bands really hammer them out there, amazingly versatile slingshot, i have a dew by these guys and they never disappoint

yeah when i got your limited edition green ocularis. Fork hit just killed the look. told myself until i become really good will i ever spend over $90 for a slingshot. When i get there I would probably purchase the X.

I have pre ordered a Black X Pro - hopefully I'll have it much longer than the 2 weeks my Aluminium Scout LT lasted before being confiscated by 4 armed Detectives - after one of my neighbours rang the police to complain about " banging" noises coming from my back yard - here in Adelaide, South Australia - any slingshots commercially made or with an Arm brace are considered dangerous weapons and are illegal - I now can only shoot 6.5 metres indoors or drive more than 50 kms into the outback (forest) to shoot at any decent distance
I have a few slingshots. At least one is from Simple Shot. They're all sitting in a box. I never use them because the only thing I ever hit is the slingshot handle or, alternatively, the ground right in front of me.

The Ocularis is a good place to start. So far it's the only one I have and I love it, I might buy another just to have two different style band sets ready at all times.

Can't the bands snag on the metal sharp corners during firing.
Do you do red fiber optic Nathan? I think that would look better on the black one.
The green grabs the light the best so we went with that for both.
