I really like when Emma was painting the stockings and said that the person she was sending this card too would celebrate Christmas BECAUSE she painted stockings on in, which my mind translated into “this person will celebrate Christmas only because I have done this”, and I may have startled my cat by laughing unexpectedly.

ahh this is so cozy i love it!! i'm also an oil painter so patience is definitelyyy something i have to work on, but i've grown to find it very relaxing to do those (tedious) little details. i love these little illustrative scenes though, i hope you do more, they're lovely!
I like this. The bricks would have been a good place to add in some of the Indian Red that you don’t really like. My first year painting cards I painted everyone. Since then I paint a more detailed one and either scan it to my computer and print on cards or copy and print as many as I need and glue them to card stock.
I bought the 100 pack last month! I have one of the strathmore watercolor journals and it seems like it’s the same paper, so I’m use to how it handles water and pigment. Once you get use to it’s not so bad to use. I’ve done several snowmen cards with a lot of wet on wet. The pigment does lift very easily which can be beneficial but also annoying. For my poinsettia cards I painted on my arches and used an exacto knife and thick stickies to apply it to the cards and the greenery directly on the card to give it a 3D effect. This came out really awesome!! Great job!!

This is gorgeous and a nice change from just holly and wreaths on my cards! Totally random: would you consider painting an amaryllis flower? They come in a bright festive red, a deep wine red, and a creamy white and soft pink combo. A pretty holiday motif.

Use a watercolor pencil that will match or use a light gray. It will blend in and you won't notice it

I think my Craftsmo brushes arrive today! Adding that dark brown around the inside of the fireplace gave it a 3D effect. Nice!
