If you want a challenge, go to La La Falls in Warburton. It's about a 1km hike up a mountain. It doesn't really flow much in summer, so get your boots ready for winter. I've hiked it once. Very pretty.
Well all i can say is Jamie is a good sport i been camping up in the high country for years and Leeches still give me the heebee jeebies .Funny story with leeches we went camping with the kids somewhere near Hawthorn Bridge (near Neerim South ) well we were setting up camp and my eldest Daughter started screaming bloody murder and hopping/jumping around the campsite i thought she must have been bitten by a snake eventually we discovered she had a leech on her shoe so we got it sorted and i explained they wernt much to worry about as usually you could just flick them off unless they got attached to your skin . Well the next day we were going exploring and went under a low tree and we were showered with leeches i started to lose my shit but looked over to the kids and they were just calmly scraping them off their clothes i was like oh shit if they can keep their shit together i better do the same ! . and to cap it off that night while they were in their tents they were calling my over to watch them burn the leeches off their tent using their torch from inside the tent it ended up being a game to them lol . Oh btw i just subscribed seen a lot of you guys vids and to be honest Jamie's guts and determination has won me over .My wife is also from the US we are a bit older than you guys but she shows the same grit and determination to enjoy no matter what .
Hey mate thanks so much for the sub and the comment. We sat here and cracked up over this story. It’s so funny how the kids don’t know to be scared like we have grown up feeling about them. It’s always funnier when it’s not happening to you. Well done putting on the brave face One day on a live stream we will share the story of Doug. The bush bog and the ankle leeches. 😂. Where in the states is your wife from?
@@adventurewithdj Hey looking forward to hearing about Doug lol she is from Southern Indiana like on the other side of the river from Louisville Kentucky . We live in Yarrawonga now so let us know if you are up this way we can have a catchup :)
@@arfyseal hahah it’s a great story 😂 amazing! We have a American friend here also from Indiana! what a small world! we did a lunch boat cruise on lake Mulwala! Not sure if you caught our Murray river series!
