    Everyone has their own talent. But I think Ben Lewis when he acted in the movie "LND" in 2012 opened the new version the best. From the costumes, vocals, gestures, and appearance, everything is wonderful. His image is perfect for an adult Phantom after 10 years. Like how calm he speaks and acts and with his deep "Baritone" voice. When Christine dies, the camera closes up on him shedding a lot of tears.✨

      Ben Lewis isn’t a baritone the phantom at least in love never dies is very much written for a tenor

      @elliesandy9108 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@huntermiller8731You can look up his biography on websites and they all say he has a baritone voice. And when he was interviewed he said he had that voice. And tenor or baritone are both good as long as they have a good voice.

      @@scotthamp384 That scene was actually one of my first introductions to Phantom. I saw Ramin's video of Till I Hear You Sing and I was blown away by his voice. I didn't realize it was not from Phantom (I had told an FB friend I loved the music from Phantom (took awhile to find the show, I realize) and she sent me the video. So I started looking for Phantom stuff on YT. When I saw the death scene, all I could say was "Oh, she died." Seriously. Both he and Anna O'byrne left me cold. Then I saw clips from RAH25. In seeing Ben in LND all I can remember are his pop-eyes. I have a bootleg of Ramin and Sierra in London and it's simply wonderful.

    I like both Ramin Karimloo and Ben Lewis...Their performance styles are different, but they each bring something to the role that is unique and mesmerizing. I would happily watch either of them (but I must confess that Ramin is my favorite Phantom).

      looking at the stage size, ramin had a lot more to play with them bens and having to fill the stage as an actor is a hard thing to do but ramin does it with purpose

    Norm was a miscast. Casting a bass-baritone in a pure tenor role going up to C5. You can hear him strain, it sounded as if it was hurting him

      bass-baritones can sing this role well easily, just not dramatic ones. Norm's voice has too much weight to sound good up there.

    I think Ramin's is good, coming from that it was filmed before the 25th, so his singing to who saw it in person was a preview of what was to come. Ben Lewis, phew his version is just so good with all the louds and the soft, as a well as the vibratos given to long belts and singing, just gives it so much more life. Now for Norm this is my first time hearing it, but i think its good, despite not being able to reach those higher octaves without some struggle I'm sure, but he pulled it off nicely and perfectly with his baritone range!

    There is no nuance in Ramin’s voice. He just belts the song without any layers or complexity. Ben Lewis’ performance is simply exceptional, so multi faceted. Norm, bless him - it’s like listening to your Grandad singing.

      Actually he has the most nuanced voice of the three. The song was pretty much written for him. Ben is fine. Norm's voice is all wrong.

      You cannot simply say Ben’s performance is multifaceted and Ramin’s isn’t then think you did something. What do you mean about Ben’s? That it’s layered? What other layers does one need in the song other than “Christine I miss you.”
      (I sound really mocking about it but I’m genuine: What are the different “facets” making up Ben’s performance that makes it better than Ramin’s? They seem the same to me; just one simply sounds nicer to listen to)
