- This week, we welcome the new addition to Poots Garage. This is my new 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 2 door in the color Anvil. Its got a 3.6l V6 and automatic transmission. Join me as we check it out and take it for a spin.

A few things- the gorilla windshield is new and your antenna is built into the windshield.
The button with the A is your auxiliary battery. You will get used to pushing the button when you start the Jeep over time.
Your tops are Freedom tops. You do have “eggs” in your Jeep. Congratulations and welcome to the Jeep family.

Was a Rubicon guy and wanted a two door Rubicon. Until I saw the prices. There’s no extreme recon package on the two doors. So I bout a two door WildTrak and got a lil discount. Love the Sas package.

I'm definitely a '41 - '06 Jeep 2 door man. But I still like "most" of the 2 doors from '11 - present, especially these Rubicons. I have an '05 TJ Rocky Mtn 4.0L 3.73's w/ lsd on a 2" lift, 32" KO2's, Currie Correctlync Steering, Fox 2.0 Shox and steering stabilizer. And this ole TJ is amazingly capable on and off road. I can wheel it one weekend with my sons and go see their Pop Pop out of state, on a 14 hour round trip the next. The key is staying as close to stock geometry as possible. Pushing 170K on the 4.0L, I am meticulous about maintaining it. And the 4.0 still runs very smooth for being 18 years old. Of course, the TJ even with the premium suspension parts does not ride like your JL Rubicon. I have driven a 4 door JL Rubicon to Roanoke, VA on a 3-hour trip and it rode like a Cadillac. I can say the same for a 2 door JL Sport driving to the same location. I was questioning whether either one had solid axles because the ride quality was very car like. I will probably always keep my TJ Rocky Mtn and one day will either get a CJ-7 or CJ-8 Scrambler. But more than likely will get a JL Willys 2 door w/ a premium soft top since it's a great long-distance vehicle for the family. At one time, I never would have considered any Jeep made after '06, but these JL 2 doors are growing on me.

Nice, congrats. I love my little fiat. It's definitely comfy to drive with all the technology, but being loaded doesn't help with the gas mileage. Though i will say the auto off is super annoying, but you get used to the pressure of the pedals. Also, it kills the batteries. But the Easter eggs are always fun, i have a lizard on the cowl and a snake on the rear window 🦎🐍

We just turned a page Im our adventures. We traded the 23 year old Honda CRV for a new Chevy Blazer Premier all wheel drive. It's Pearl but it doesn't matter after we put some desert pinstripeing on it. This one is towable all four on the ground. Now to find a base plate to hook it too.

Overhead valve and overhead cam ? It’s one or the other
I was rambling, my bad. But no, you can have both also. All modern engines are OHV, because the valves are in the head, not the block like an old flat head. Having the cam in the head or in the block doesn’t change that.
I hate that auto stop/start BS. Get an Auto Start/Stop Eliminator from the company out of WV. It costs $100 and takes about 20 minutes to install and doesn't throw any codes or affect warranty. I just installed one on my 2023 Jeep Wrangler Willys--best money I've ever spent!
I’ll be turning it off eventually, as well as deleting the aux battery.

Funny. I got my Jeep for exactly same reasons - sales reps for Ford are arrogant assholes. Bronco without Sasquatch package is just an ugly looking vehicle low efficiency vehicle
