Okay, now I ain't jealous of most folks, but anyone with an M1A, meat grinder, reloading gear and a half-dozen stills all in the same place, well, my hat's off to you sir!
Really good stills are hillbillys... I noticed you can tell when you hitting the tails because the plates start to steam up starting at the lowest and rising up, hits 3rd plate, send it back to reflux to squeeze every last drop out.... You got a great still collection! all you need now is a "StillDragon" still to complete that collection ;o)
Unless your running this for your truck, I'm not sure why you'd recycle your heads... the idea is to get rid of them. Nice set ups ya got yerself there, I guess a few back up stills is a great idea.
I just stumbled across this and don’t know if you have a permit to make ethanol or not but if you don’t, PLEASE upload the video with the license plate on the wall BLURRED OUT if it’s connected to you or someone you know in any way. I’d hate for the man to be able to put another notch on his gun for something this simple. Make them work for it a little bit. Enjoyed the video though. Be safe!
There is nothing wrong with chinese stainless. But there certainly are plenty of reasons not to buy made in china(hope you dont shop at walmart). The stolen design comment is a joke. Hillbilly stills copied someone(OD) elses design. The originator of the "magic flute" was himself just building a minaturized version of a 180 year old design. To the video uploader thats a beautiful collection of distilling equipment you have. Enjoyed your video a lot.
I thought perhaps he was being sarcastic when this gentleman was bragging up the welds on this still, sloppy work and bubble gum soldering cleaning up is not rocket science. I totally agree with moncorp1, if I was Hillbilly I would ask him to ship that equipment back to clean up or remove this video can't be good for business. The cans look great but they are probably jobbed out.
What a crap made still. Do they charge for that crappy soldering job? I can't believe this poster talks about how good they are. Those are sloppy soldering joints. They charge good money for that junk I assume. 2:55 And there's no way this is cost effective as a fuel.
Hey exellent vidio im james contact me james grey face book i am a fellow shiner that is planning to go pro some time , im canadian so its not legal so i take my chances i have a passion for this
Solder joints look like something I would turn out but never could sell...

At 173 degrees the only alcohol you're distilling is the stuff that'll give you a nasty hangover. And those sweat joints...wow!
Nice set up! Great man cave! Wish I was your son!

SLIM PICKEN. I would know that voice anywhere....
the more plates, the more it is distilled and purified.. the more plates, the more efficient.. stronger product, less runs
I hope that isnt a rubber band in the funnel
I have to ask. Can you make methanol cheaper than buying gasoline
Alkeehawl... LMAO man.. Great video, no harm intended, just enjoying the dialect :)
What is the purpose of the 4 plates 6 plates or 8 plates?
nice set up
LOL, but don't agree with the quality build of HB, I think its atrocious finish and frankly some people must be easily pleased.
+Geoff James ~ I was thinking the same thing. Those sweated joints were sloppy.
173 DGREES!
