For anyone who just started learning how to use LMMS these are the most helpful tutorials, It may seem overwhelming at first but if you take these tutorials one at a time and try them out after you watch the video, everything will be far simpler. TJ keep it up

TH-cam sux for not putting your tutorial playlist front and center when i search lmms tutorial. Only reason I found you was from someone else's comment on a video Ill never see again. Glad I did.
I've been using LMMS just for fun for quite a while, but that's all self-taught and it's not very good. There's still so much more of this software that I have no idea about and these tutorials are really helping with that. Keep up the good work!
I aspire to be a music artist, and I'm starting out with the dire basics (I know, LMMS isn't the best software but it's decent for beginner music development). So thank you so much for this tutorial series; they're going to help tons!
After a couple of days struggling with Cakewalk I started looking for decent tutorials - Yours is by far the best I have come across, so I guess I'm an LMMS man from now on :-)
I'm very thankful for this series. Working on a mini album right now thanks to this series. It won't be wonderful but it'll be a lot better than I was previously doing just using audacity and taking the beeps and bops and trying to make notes with them by ear. That shit was legitimately awful. Not only did it take like a month per song, but it ended up being absolutely trash. Audacity is great for vocals and splicing/editing audio but it's not good for actually making music. My plan is to make some songs on lmms and then move the notes and melodies to audacity and sing and edit it there. I'm already pretty good at audacity but this tutorial helped me a lot to get started with the mini album I am working on now. Thank you!
This is actually so helpful, thank you! I downloaded LMMS last week because I am wanting to explore music production as a long time music enjoyer (and former high school musician... hah). I was totally overwhelmed by what was in front of me, and this makes it feel really accessible. Thank you!
I just installed LMMS and was glad to see you have a few tutorials. Your content is informative, and just plain fun to watch. I enjoyed your Inkscape videos. Now I can crank up my Audacity program to record some sound files to use (at a later date, of course). LMMS has a simplicity I can relate to. Thanks!!
Out of all the LMMS tutes I've seen on YT, this one looks to finally help me to progress beyond the rudimentary. I seriously want to learn LMMS beyond the few simple tunes I've created with it but every other tute I've seen on YT seems to completely bamboozle me with a mish mash presentation of sampling, poorly presented, and failing to explain what's going on. Thanks for taking the time to start from the beginning and explain each step. Looking forward to this series :-)
You're welcome! Glad to hear you like it so far. I'm uploading 14 tutorials right now. The actual software isn't too hard to learn, but the more challenging part is getting familiar with all the effects and instrument configurations and learning how to compose good music.
Great! Yes, true, I hit a wall as soon as I go to do something a little denser, like utilise the FX Mixer and the controller rack lol! I'm fairly good with the beat and bassline but I would like to compose some halfway decent melodies/music. Also, I would love to know if it's possible to add sounds eg from a keyboard, drums via midi as well as import samples etc. Don't expect you to go into depth on all of this but some guidance on where to go next would be fab! Thanks :)
Not sure if this is what you mean, but with the AudioFileProcessor under Instument Plugins, you can load your own .wav file of a recorded (or downloaded) drum sound, sample, etc, and use it as an instrument.
First of all thanks a bunch. I was really looking forward to find a tutorial series on how to create music for my original song. I m also getting a brand new midi keyboard this week. Also I perfectly jel with your way of making it look so simple. Thank you and God bless you

I was about to spend $300 on FL Studio... until I realized that I needed to be using Mac OSX 10.11 in order to run FL Studio whilst I had Mac OSX 10.10. Apple has been notorious lately for their use of planned obsolescence so upgrading to the newer version of the operating system has a high probability of rendering much of the software that I like to use obsolete or possibly turning my computer into an unusable brick. After spending around 2 minutes screaming obscenities at my computer, I went looking for alternatives and found LMMS.
Glad you found LMMS. You are absolutely right about the power of big software companies. They control the software, and can and do force users to pay for upgrades to keep using their software. The users are never in control of such software. I literally started this channel to show people another alternative.
Even worse, I had a paid version of Logic Pro on an iMac, one day Apple send me a mail saying: yeah, we know your OSX version is latest, and you paid $200 for Logic, but the next time you update OSX Logic will no longer work. You can buy a version of Logic that will work ... for another $200. Or you can just never update your $3000 computer's OS. Your choice, mate, kthx, Apple. I'm 100% Linux now. They couldn't even offer a discount on the Logic upgrade (Pro to Pro X). Wankers.

These are really great videos and as a result, I circled back to LMMS yesterday in order to check out the new 1.2.0 release. Sadly, I see there's still no font scaling. For me, that makes LMMS a non-starter. Granted, I'm pretty sure I could muck around with qt5ctl and/or environment variables in order to make some of the fonts readable but I don't really think a user should have to reconfigure that much of their underlying system just to use a given application. If LMMS ever gets around to providing a way to scale their fonts, I'll definately take a serious look. Great videos though. Keep up the great work.
