Honestly, if that actually was an immunity idol at tribal, Adam’s play would easily go down as one of the greatest moments in Survivor history.
They should actually hide an authentic immunity idol at tribal council.

I still think it was the right move on his part.
If the podium is an idol, he goes down in history and has 3 more days in the game. As we saw in MvGX he can turn a near vote out in to a sole survivor title
If the podium isn't an idol, he still goes home anyways and he gets the fun edit and it helps improve his image with a fanbase that hated him(for no good reason)

Was the first season of survivor I ever watched & I could not believe it
“Jeff, come on, that took hours to make” is a golden line
I actually caught myself thinking during that line If I could have resisted doing smth like that line myself there If I was in Ozzy position. Because back then an exciting fake ido play like that truly was an all time great exciting type of thing. But it fully killed his game making him from single to doube threat and voted off next episode. Like, there is no way in hell as he s muttering that line that he doesn't realize that it is super duper bad for game - it's just his ego and excitement overruling that other side of his brain and choosing the just celebrate instead and take the glory and say that thing :D

I actually respect Adam's move. It seemed goofy and cringey, but he had nothing else to lose at that point. If it was an idol that would've been a badass move by Adam.
My favorite part of this clip is when everyone got REALLY concerned like WTF. They got soooo scared. Kim and Tyson’s faces are priceless
@@cbyrnes Yeah the fact people actually seemed afraid, even if just for a second that Adam was onto something. Makes it not that ridiculous. If the show wanted to really "dunk" on him. They would have used different reaction shots or different music.
Debbie's "puzzles lay themselves down for me like lovers" absolutely takes me out, that is such a wild turn of phrase. Also "i have the strength of a gymnast....and the tenacity of a giant squid." She was absolutely made for this show.

I want Debbie, Coach, and Philip to just share life stories with each other. Watching that could be the most painful yet interesting conversation in survivor history. Christian could also add a lot to the conversation but I wouldn't want to put him into that situation

I actually respect the hell out of Adam to try and play the podium. The fleur de lys had been a recurring symbol throughout the season and it would have made sense, as well as it being a pretty cool place to hide an idol. He was going home and he tried, so good for him.

J.T.'s letter to Russell could have been genius if he had been dealing with ANYONE ELSE BUT RUSSELL. It appeared that Parvati was running the majority alliance like before. All the men on the tribe were seemingly being voted out systematically. Logically that would have put Russell in the crosshairs. Unfortunately, J.T. didn't know that Russell and Parvati were actually running the majority alliance together, nor did he know Russell's reputation. Had Russell's season actually aired before they filmed Heroes vs Villains, I don't think a single person on the Hero tribe would have taken the risk of trying to work with him.
Angelina asking for the jacket is iconic but it overshadows Natalie asking Nick if his jacket is worth a million dollars
I actually don't think that Adam playing the podium was ridiculous at all. I think it was rather smart of him, because the same exact symbol was on the idol Denise had found, and an idol being hidden at tribal council wasn't unheard of, so it was good thinking, he just got unlucky.
Exactly. I remember watching the show and saying "good for him" you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. It's sort of like Eliza playing the stick. Why not? Sure there is like a 1 in million shot it was the real thing, but what else is there to lose?

Adam wasn't just being weird. An idol had been hidden at Tribal in a season of international survivor, so he took a hail mary because he didn't have anything to lose by trying.

His point about vocabulary is spot-on, however: The correct phrase is "ruffle feathers" not "rustle feathers". The phrase "ruffle someone's feathers" means "to cause someone to become annoyed or upset" (i.e. "rile someone up"). What does Hayden say in the clip? The plan was to "rile Gerv up" (i.e. "ruffle Gerv's feathers"). Hayden then doubles down on sounding dumb by saying, "Rustling leaves. You can also rustle feathers." Besides the fact that neither of these things means what Hayden is trying to say (i.e. "to rile someone up"), it is also impossible to "rustle feathers". How do I know this? Because I have a competent grasp of the English language. "Rustle" means "to make a soft, muffled CRACKLING sound like that caused by the movement of dry leaves or paper". Feathers are soft and don't crackle, and I highly doubt Hayden was planning to shake Gervase around in an effort to cause him to make a crackling sound.

There should be a season when all the idols are in plain sight like that. And they should let the audience know where they are -- so they can see how often contestants walk by them.
@@katewelch2115 I mean they have done something like this like in season 25 where the idol was on top of the basket and even Russell Swan was talking to the audience about having the flash on the screen of the idol and stuff like that LOL

Already did. It happened in Survivor South africa. That was Adam's inspiration why he did it.
Two thoughts: 1) Fairplay is criminally underrated here, I have to think it's recency bias or voters who weren't alive/watching when it happened. When it happened, it was a widely recognized bit of pop culture beyond just Survivor fans. 2) How does "Coach's loved one is his Assistant Coach" not make this list? But then I suppose the list could legitimately be 20 things about Coach.

I remember watching a VH1 countdown of the top 100 most shocking reality TV show moments around 2007, and Fairplay’s dead grandma lie was No. 1.
Now it’s barely in the top 20 of ridiculous Survivor moments 😂

The source for this was a Reddit thread. Reddit skews fairly young. A lot of voters were not watching Survivor when Fairplay played and don't realize it was a national pop culture story that everyone knew about.

It's funny how Jason says that he can't wait to see Ozzy's reaction, but Jason was the one with the entertaining reaction.
I know that not all of them are great people out of the game, but the Luzon 4 is one of the most memorable pre-merge tribes to me. The chaos that happened on that tribe, plus 3 of that 4 going onto Cambodia, it's insane but so good

They said at the Winners at War finale that what Adam did might have sparked an idea for future seasons so it wasn't ridiculous. It was actually pretty smart. And he wasn't wrong, that was the symbol on the hidden idols.
There's two different rumors on why Bill agreed to go to tribal on one world the first rumor is that he thought he could flip the votes on Colton considering he was a toxic presence on the island and the other rumor is that he didn't want to spend any more time with Colton and he didn't want to take the risk of both of them making the merge and him having to be on ponderosa with him so he went to tribal hoping that he got voted out so he can just get away from him it's pretty bad when somebody's willing to give up their shot at winning a million dollars just to get away from you
I mean Leif was causing some slight drama and the guys were upset with it, Tarzan literally says to Leif’s face that if he agrees to go to tribal he’s getting voted out.
@@chwaftka9775 I heard that the edit just showed it that way so there would be somewhat of a coherent story because they didn't want to show all the extra stuff you know Bill literally stole Colton's idol right and he didn't steal it to use it he stole it so he can like hide it or throw it in the ocean just so he can't have it I understand Colton is a little s*** who can get on your nerves but I like Bill I don't want him to stoop down to Colton's level and I think it's ironic that Colton tells him to get a real job but he's probably never worked a day in his life

I mean even though it made sense it still LOOKED funny to see him try fruitlessly to pull off the fleur de lis with everyone uncomfortably watching.
But who found it at South Africa had the clue to where to find it
@@BLRNerd Australian survivor also had idols hidden at tribal. In one season it was in the tree behind their seats (but you would need to have found a clue to search for that)

I swear to god J'tia pouring out the rice but NOT getting voted out that night was just insane. It really makes me wonder if she could have gone much further in the season despite her meltdown on that challenge that day. Maybe if she kept her cool and stayed ... cool, she may have been able to go further. Still funny though.

My favorite little bit from the dead grandma scene is after Fairplay wins the challenge and he starts crying and hugging everyone.. idk something about a short skinny man with curly hair being so diabolical and acting so innocent always gets me, but when he gets to Sandra it's like he kinda looks at her like he's considering if he should, but she wouldn't even look at him and had such a pissed off look on her face lol so he kinda just turned and kept hugging everyone else 😂 it wasn't shown in this video but I'm sure y'all know what I'm talking about

I love Sugar is so insistent that Randy was mad because he didn't want to give her a cookie when he tried twice to give her a cookie. Man, she's delusional 😂
He really didn't want to give any of them a cookie except for maybe Corrine and Matty because he did have a good relationship with them. He also didn't mind Kenny, but he hated Crystal, Susie, and Sugar. Like he said, they were his cookies and he could do what he wanted with them because he was the boss. He could have thrown them in the dirt and stomped on them if he wanted to. It just killed him that he had to give people he couldn't stand cookies and Sugar knew it which is why she did what she did.
Yes, she was irritating, but it made for good TV
