Whoever got RDJ for the role of Tony Stark needs an award of some kind.
They made an actor whose name was taboo in Hollywood into a man who built so many childhoods and is one of the highest-grossing actors of all time.
That would be Jon Favreau (the actor of Happy Hogan and the director of Iron Man 1&2). He had to fight the studio very hard to get him the role, given RDJ's (at the time recent-ish) past.
@shaanp9796 dude is a phenomenal producer/director. Lot of passion in that guy. If you haven't watched Chef or the chef show that came from that, definitely a good watch
Actually we need to thank the great Mel Gibson for saving RDJ from his own demons and starvation by giving up the leading role in The Singing Detective in favor of RDJ. Mel stayed close to Robert and help him recover every step of the way.
@@shaanp9796 Seeing how Jon Favreau is in this very scene, practically being the one who invented the MCU Iron Man (in addition to RDJ), and who was ultimately still there for the death of his character. Its even more powerful to see him in the scene watching Tony's recording.
That's Jon Favreau.
Marvel died when Tony Stark died.
There is hope, marvel secret wars and a iron woman will come by Tony Starks Daughter. Watch the movie with the missing clips it's interesting. This was not Tony final love to his daughter.
At least guardians 3 was a W
As long as people are talking about it, the MCU isn't dead
@@Raffaello610me with michael jackson
So damn true 😢
*We* *miss* *you* *3000,* *Tony*
True 😢
Was waiting for this comment.
Yes we will miss you tony
4 years since.
Still gives me tears.
IT WAS STARLORDS FAULT
@@AgCharmsStudios not really
Me too. I don't even like Tony Stark and I still can cry at this. I guess because he dies and Morgan is going to grow up without her father in her life. But at least she will always know he loves her.
@@AgCharmsStudiosI've got no dog in this fight, but it makes me sad that it was Starlord's fault. How?

Peppers reaction is what gets me. Her gasps when she realises that Tony recorded that the day before the time travel saga. Something she gave him the clear for and knowing how much fear Tony was feeling due to his intuition. Too me it brought me back to Thanos’s line in Infinity war about being cursed with knowledge. Tony was literally cursed with the knowledge to realise that of anyone to die it was likely going to be him
Ya mine to
Well Natasha also died, but this is about Tony and the fact that he made this a day before the mission was insane foresight
I think its less "if anyone were to die.." and more-so the common sense of "its really risky so just in case.."
That was just the acknowledgement that he and Tony are futurists
This message is more of a tear jerker than his actual death.
I mean, his death is heroic
This message is fantastic
You now understand why artists aren't globally recognized until they're dead lol
Had an epic speech at his funeral. Tony is such a BOSS.
I haven't even WATCHED the marvel movies and I'm crying. RDJ is an incredible actor.
He is 😎that's why he is Iron Man 😎
LMAO yall see rhodey's tear and they want me to believe thats a skrull? yea no, screw you secret invasion.
that was the last word of the golden season of the MCU
No the last words were “No, no I don’t think I will.”
I graduated high school in 2019 and it was a challenging year for me but I did it. This movie came out my senior year and it was the end of an era leaving high school and seeing one of my childhood heroes die. Thanks for everything RDJ for making me a fan of this universe. We love you 3000.
This was not only his end but the end of marvel as well.
This is where the MCU ended in my world.
With a nice couple of Spider-Man adventures after
But yes this is the true end
Yes it did for me as well…… although I did enjoy the union of the spider men
I’ve lost touch with the MCU now
yup
Same here
I remember everyone putting spoiler warning tags before spoiler posts on social media so people wouldn't click on them accidentally in 2019, but I still sort of overheard that someone major was gonna die before I watched it. I didn't know who it was, but I saw the quote "I love you 3000" all over the place. And when I finally went to watch the movie, I immediately know it was gonna by Tony when Megan said that line. From that point on, I bursted into tears and didn't stop for the rest of the movie. This was the end of an era.
I’ve watched this about 1000 times and still get chills has to be one of the greatest movie lines of all-time
then you have at least 2000 to go!
Me too
This scene has always hit hard at your heart ❤
Mine too
Logan's goodbye (Logan), Batman's goodbye (The Dark Knight Rises), and Tony Stark's goodbye (Avengers: Endgame) all strike the same tone.
But bro Itachi's goodbye..
and Rengoku's goodbye...
The Peter and Ned scene hits a little harder because Tom Holland and Jacob Batalon are real life best friends and the chemistry is there.
And then it hits even harder when you consider that Peter ultimately sacrifices that friendship and more after the events of "No Way Home."
0:36 Even in No Way Home, I was really impressed with Endgame. I was sadder and moved to be reunited rather than parting.
Thank you Tony Stark for everything you've done.
Thank you tony
Who would've thought that's the last time we would actually see Chadwick as T'Challa chronologically speaking. Rest In Power King for you are duly missed!
Yes you will
He was what he was. A brave and heroic Avenger who gave his life to save the world. Tony Stark/Iron Man
Sonic adventure 2 reference ftw
Sayonara, Tony Stark
It's been 4 years still give me tears😢😢
Well what if I said that tony is not fully dead
“A man has to be what he is, Joey. You can’t break the mould. There’s no living with a killing. There’s no going back. Right or wrong, it’s a brand. A brand that sticks. Now run on home to your mother, and tell her everything’s alright. There’s no more guns in the valley…”
When you figure out this mirrors the Iron Man 2 scene where Howard sends his message to Tony
There have been a couple decent hurrah's in the years since endgame came out, but this is ultimately where marvel went from being great to being mid.
And I'm okay with that, honestly. Not everything can be great forever. Sometimes I wish they'd just give up, accept the great run they had, and move on to newer things.
Whatever the case, I'm glad I was here to see this saga. I love it 3000.
AVENGERS ENDGAME IS LITERALLY THE LAST MARVEL MOVIE TO ACTUALLY BE GREAT
Marvel aint gonna be the same anymore without Tony stark 😔 tony is what got me into marvel in the first place.
Rest in peace chadwick bowsmon (black panther)
I still could just cry.
Meanwhile, Loki is becoming an introvert
😢come back Tony. Best and favorite since i read comics in the 90s
I'll miss you iron man!
Because 😎 iam iron man
This scene still gets to me
This made me cry so much 😭😭❤️❤️
It seems like such a misstep to bring back Tony, the way they plan to in order to resurrect the MCU. Undoes all of this emotional celebration of a cinematic masterpiece which has finally come to its end. This is definitely where the MCU as we knew it, ended.
This scene always makes me cry.
We love you 3000 tony.
I miss you 3000 Iron Man.
2 days left for Beast this Saturday.
5 years on I miss you.
Final scene of Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther.
It’s been 5 years and this still makes me cry😭
We love you too 3000
Those 3 words get me every time
I miss the good old Marvel movies when I was growing up when Iron Man came out!!!!
Love you 3000 Mr. Stark
Love you 3000❤😭 man 5 AM and im just tearing up like a baby
This may be the best MCU film in my opinion but…
We lost Tony 😢
0:36 Seen from No Way Home, Endgame was the best impression, I was sadder and moved to be reunited rather than parting.
This gets me every time.😢
Tony stark was literally the main character of phase 1 2 and 3
We miss you 3000 tony
Imaging someday I will say goodbye forever to my kids tears me out
For Iron Man: "Love you 3000"
For Wolverine: "Love you 17000"
Bully Maguire: "the ad said 3000 I need that money"
Peters and neds part broo just hits so hard
Gets me everytime 😢
まじ泣ける
rewatching this today i only just realised that steve and thor were there too 😢 truly the big three
My dad told me that he nearly cried at "I love you 3000." HE NEVER CRIES. Hats off to you Marvel.
*1:07*
Ramonda (Angela Bassett)
Love you 3000❤
his smile 😢😢
We proud of you tony
Its been a long time till we last saw you.
0:36 If you look at No Way Home, this one was also really fantasy.
It was really the endgame of the MCU wasnt it guys.....
I missed you iron man😢😢😢
He will be back
That was his last message before they went time travel and before his death
If we ever get a movie/show related to Iron Man, I’d like to see Morgan Stark going through her Dad’s garage and find old clips of her Dad building the Iron Man suit back then, all his test flight footage and recordings
*0:33*
Ned (Jacob Batalon)
End got me cry little
*”Proof, that Tony Stark has a heart”*
We miss iron man and black widow both 😭😭😭
Que lido tony te quiero 3000
hey..... love u 3000 !
the real ending to the mcu
It would have been awkward and hilarious if the message was angeled slightly towards James Rhodes so when Tony said “I love you 3000”, it looks like he was saying it to James 😂.
My head cannon is that the AI in the helmet scanned the room and knew exactly where everyone was and played the 3D holo recording to look at his daughter at that moment.
I love you 3000 💔💔💔
We miss you 300 Tony stark
i really miss the Marvel before spiderman no way home 🥲
I love you 3000 RDJ
I want whatever next Ironman movie to have Morgan following in her father’s footsteps as Iron-Woman. The world needs a Stark. They are too important, both to the Avengers and the cosmos.
Chills fr
I’m not crying….. *sobbing intensifies*
the guardians shoudlve been in this while tony was talking
Right
Rip tony stark 😢
we miss you 3000 I AM IRON MAN WAKANDA FOREVER
Long live the armor.
"it's just a movie, it's just a movie"
Also me:
He left in Tony stark fashion
What a scene
Bring Stark back
We all are missing you Tony stark the ironman ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m possibly the biggest Spider-Man Homecoming fan so that scene with Peter and Ned reuniting always gets me a little choked up
1:18 I am not crying😢
It only takes 1 man to make the difference!
none of this would have been possible if Yinsen didn't save Tony then sacrificed himself in that cave all those years back.
Tony stark 😎
All I see are the forces of Darkness. There are no forces of Light- like anywhere.
