I became aware of your videos about a month ago, which for me, started with your Mum. I'm glad you are making these because they are fantastic. And it's nice to see other artists whom I first saw in London in the late 60's.....Anthony Greene and Euan Uglow. Since I'm thousands of miles away, your films keep me connected to England and her wonderful artists. Thank you, cheers.
Fascinating, thank you. I spied your mum going into the RA, in her new outfit. I also saw a couple or so shots of Michael Horovitz, the poet, painter and avant garde jazz musician at a private view. I used to type his reviews of books for him on Sundays and he would always create puns out of my typos, which made the whole chore hilarious. So nice to see familiar faces … and also impressive how you keep such a low profile in this interview. As if KH is talking to us rather than you, bringing an intimacy to the video.
This is so interesting to me. I wonder if he knew my father Harold Arthur Drury? Dad would take a night classes at the Academy in the late 1940s. He’s mentioned by Sir Edward Marsh in the biography of Marsh. Thanks for posting this very interesting institution.
Really interesting, but it should be pointed out that Ken was not president of the RA, but of the New English Art Club. He was at one time Professor of Perspective at the RA.
a great teacher with good advice.
A great artist who captures light beautifully.
Such an insightful artist, spoken with experience.

The oldest academy is the Accademia dei Lincei, founded in 1603.
Does one have to exhibit at the RA, in order to be selected for membership?
