Ohhhhh … I wish your mum could have lived forever just so I could listen to her. I am a 73 year old painter and I so wish I could have known her. And I really agree with her philosophies of the art world, especially the Dutch being the greatest and the modern crap being rubbish. I may have already said this because I have no memory now either, but the best scene that you shot was of your mother walking out of the Academy in her new outfit. She was so tiny among all of those tall arty farty people amongst those God awful huge abstract paintings.. She was the small gem walking through just like the child in Rembrandt’s Nightwatch . Thank you, Tony!!

I loved watching this entertaining film, following the journey of your very talented mum. What a determined lady, being self taught and on a mission. I hope her art lives on and is recognised as an important record of Fulhams old buildings.

I will never tire of watching your films about your dear Mom. It's about the same person, the same story but a completely different film! (at min: 1:56 p.m., is this a photograph or painting of Mary Cane-Honeysett?) I love when you say: "She brought her love of bricks across the pond" (sounds like a huge suitcase). I am very touched and happy that the algorithm brings me each new version of your film about your painter mother! I know from your other films, she’s a hell of a character! I wish you and her the absolute best for 2025!

Amazing artist, and a lovely story. I wish she could have continued , her work is beautiful.

Framing with a miter saw isn’t real the way it’s done . They are normally cut with a guilotene.But roughly about £15 hundred to buy second hand.

Her line accuracy is very skilful.some of the best artists in the world are self taught.And a lot started at art colleges left due to being influenced down a one horse track.

The art world is corrupted. Many great painter is overlooked for very poor works under the guise of it’s in the eye.

Bittersweet. The paintings are beautiful - as is her life. Such joy and an amazing tribute. Thank you for sharing.

Love your Mom. The luckiest are those who want to do something and can do something. I believe elders should be looked after better, it’s expensive but maybe they would do better in care.
