- Brasi and Leandra stop in by invitation to the weekly Expat Meetup in Calbayog City, Philippines. Check out the colossal cheeseburgers, and the "beer tower" at the amazing MANGO LOUNGE & ESTATES! The collection of expats we met included many American veterans, most of whom have been married to Filipinas for many years.
Great food and conversation ensued. In the video Brasi asks members of the group about Long Distance Relationships and moving to the Philippines from the west. Despite the leader of the Calbayog expats group being a Dallas Cowboys fan, and Brasi being a fan of the Washington Commanders, a great time was had by all. The group encourages YOU to stop by the Expat meeting held every Wednesday from 12 noon to ? at the Mango, and ask questions yourself.

Great advice . It’s a different world out there . People think differently, and the weather can be brutal . The fat thing is very true . I’ll visit next time I’m in Calbayog.

Damn, that John guy is an handsome dude. He sure looks like he likes to eat though. By the way, that was a pastrami sandwich I was eating. I saved the rest of those wings for Brasi and shared a few with Shane also. I did drink a little over 1/3 of that tower of beer though. This was a very nice video. I don't remember saying all the things I said. I am looking forward to your return. You are alright for a Washington fan. The Cowboys should be 1-0 against the Commanders (I still prefer Redskins) when you arrive. Depending on when you do arrive, I suspect that Dallas will be no less than 6-3 (probably 7-2) when you get here. There are usually more expats at Mango. Sometimes we have almost 20 expats, plus the wives/girlfriends. The games day that Christian was talking about I wish would get going again. COVID put a damper on it and it never got restarted. We did change it to Saturday so we could just talk, eat, drink and play pool on Wednesdays. Anyone (especially expats) passing through Calbayog please stop by Mango and check it out. Donnie runs his Southern Style Wings right next door and he is in the process of expanding the menu. He makes excellent coleslaw, baked beans and mac & cheese (none of them on the menu (yet)). I hope to see you there and if I'm there I'll even buy you a beer or soda, whichever you prefer. Just let me know you saw here on TH-cam about that free drink. John doesnt lita ever go to mango with ya for dinner? Or is it just a guy thing?.... John , randy and shane , All great guys !!! (Blair).. I met john in calbayog way back in 2011. I was staying in the ceriaco and looked out my window and saw a guy i was talkin to online across the street.
She used to go there but she doesn't anymore. Since it is an open restaurant, there is no air con and it sometimes gets too hot for her to just sit there.
That burger is a heart attack waiting to happen 🤔. Obesity seems to be the order of the day there. Reminds me why I avoid other foreigners when I’m in the Phils 👍
