Would you recommend travelling if it was for 2 - 3 miles (45 minute walk?)
I thinking of getting a kick scooter, for safer, more convenient travel in Birmingham. I currently use a bicycle, and the roads in Birmingham are unfit and dangrous for cyclists. I also have to follow an inconvenient one way system, and it takes me about 5 minutes to lock up.
A scooter I don't have to worry about any of this.
Hi, for that distance you'd spend the same amount time on scooter as you do on the bike, if you include locking and unlocking, plus you don't get dirty and is significantly safer. If you plan riding on a very steep hill, I wouldn't recommend the scooter over bike, though. Good luck!
OCTΛV ahh cool. Thank you. Ya, its much safer being able to use it on walkways, and pavements. And I can easily bring it inside buildings as they are so small.
Also thought it be good when going around the shops in town centers. With a bicycle you have to lock it up, then walk to each shop. With scooter as you can carry with you, you can easily got around shops easily =)

I have a town 9 and love it. Same, locks ove a pole in 20 seconds, park it near wear your sitting a t a coffee shop. I have in the back of my car all the time. I travel 6 kms a few times a week great exercise, your using your whole body, forget running this will get your heart pumping. I am 55, I get comments from others my age, hey! their just jealous!

@@6Shine6down6 Those are just standard Chinese ABEC 7 generics. Try spinning - I got only 1 minute TOPS ! After swapping for some Bronson G3's (added washers, too, for extra clearance), I'm getting >3 minutes for the same pull. That's just a "lab" test. On the street, the difference between the crap ABEC 7's and the G3's are remarkable. The same push gets me around twice (!!) the distance. I can also reach a good 10kmh faster, too. But mostly great since I sweat a bit less now going to and from work. :)
