      Not so crazy, Afghanistan’s government has a total control over their borders, Israel doesn’t because they pretend to be a democracy who is supposed to be gentle to Muslims. In Afghanistan their only threat is Deash.

    Safest route from Europe to Asia is via Chinese Airlines over Russian Airspace. PEAK IRONY. Cheaper fuel, shorter route. How are European Airlines going to compete?

    There used to be so many options between East Asia and Europe. But how, all the cheapest and fastest options are from Chinese airlines. Because they are the only ones that can fly over Russia. So many European airlines just gave up and stopped flying to East Asia.

    lol if Cairo decided to close its air space and so did Azerbaijan travel between Asia and Europe would seize to exist and only Chinese airlines would be able to do these kind of flights because they can travel in Russian airspace

      Ignorant comment. There are millions of families wanting to reunite and travel from one side of the conflict to the other to peaceful pastures. So this flight plan worry is not just relegated to leisure tourism, it involves legitimate need to get from one side of the world to the other and its unfortunate that the middle east has become such a clusterfk.

    Emirates still route some of their flights over Iran, although it fly only east of Tehran until it reaches Caspian Sea.

    Uzbekistan is also becoming a major air hub for Central Asia, Samarkand's new airport, though small, is also very nice. And Tashkent is expanding theirs. Having flown through this Azerbaijan corridor, there was definitely a concern with Israel-Iran trading blows.

    Great! Longer flights due to diversions leading to higher
    prices. Now flying between SEA and Europe are either around the Arabian peninsula or the tiny air corridor Turkey-Azerbaijan bypassing North Iran through Turmenistan down to Afghanistan than to India. And if these two become too dangerous and/or not feasible..well flying the old way through the Artic Circle-Canada-Anchorage- Japan..

    Afghanistan is safe to be used as an airspace. Don't listen to the lies of European agencies.
    No group in Afghanistan, other than the gov(Taliban) have the capability to shoot down a commercial flight and we know they're desperate for business and revenue.
    Pay up and use the airspace of Afghanistan and avoid a certain tragedy by not flying through a warzone in middle east(Afghanistan is not middle east, nor it is south asia).

    From Australia here, I have a flight booked to Europe next and I was raising it with my wife we should have booked it via America. There isn't any way of getting to Europe via flying west via the middle east of a full blown war (taking into account Ukraine).
