I think this might have been a young mother, but you're right, the hospital should inform mothers to have a backup plan in case breastfeeding doesn't work out! I'm so grateful that was able to breastfeed my three babies without issues, I always had formula at home just in case! 💐

I applaud him, but it probably would have been easier to go to the hospital, he might not have been thinking or may not have been trained to know hospitals always have formals on hand and would have given him a whole case.

happens a lot more than people know. I was a Police Officer in the USAF and we have more help on our Base, close by. MANY Officers even help after their off duty when they see a way to. Love it !!

Maybe consider that the cop isn’t a dad or that he hasn’t bought formula in years and forgot what kind to buy because I did the same thing and forgot as well and I’m a mom of four.

The grocery store was excellent and the police were excellent. I have no other words, I would shop there just to say thank you for doing the right thing and buy that officer some donuts and coffee.

Thats a cop that is deserving of respect! He didn't have to do this at all. Its not in his job description - but he did it because he had a heart that wanted to actually serve and protect. They can't solve the world's problems, but the good cops can and will help when they can.
Thank you for your hard work! Being a police officer doesn’t only mean catching bad guys. A lot of police work is just helping out the community in tough/stressful situations. For example, I’ve seen way too many videos of bad/corrupt cops so I’m generally cautious when I meet an officer, but a few years ago my retired father’s car broke down on the side of the road in intense summer heat, and fortunately a good police officer was driving by and helped jump start my dad’s car so he could get home. I’m very thankful for his quick actions and kindness that saved my dad from waiting for help in 100 degree heat.

I had this happen! With my new born I kept trying to pump over and over. I had some come out and I spilled it. I didn't know you can call the cops for help. I was crying and everything. Someone went and got me some.
From my personal experience with 911 operator they can be harsh or rude , I only had two negative experiences I felt I had no choice but to hang up. And deal with my emergency on my own. So I'm very shocked that 911 operator help this young lady and her precious baby . I have seen many police officers do very kind things in many different communities . And I'm very impressed with the employees at the store for helping the officer . They're awesome 🥇 Everybody was so kind , great job God bless everyone . 💙🙏

This happened to my sister! Years ago and my baby is due in September I will be making sure to have formula on hand just in case! That poor mama! That police department and officer deserve medals for that! Hereos ❤

She should’ve had formula stashed away in the closet in case of an emergency so that this wouldn’t have happened. Motherhood is very stressful, but if she would’ve prepared better she wouldn’t have had to put all those people in this stressful situation

Usually at hospitals they will give you in case if you needed they will give you a lot off formula I remember I do no about USA in Canada they do.
I know it's different for everyone but for me, that would be a $500 ER visit. They charge you to walk in the door.
