    The idea of uploading this video was to only inform the people how #volvo is as a brand. I could have uploaded this video on the day it was shot as well but I didn't only because I 'expected' volvo to take action. Although volvo admitted their mistake, they did nothing about it. I am really overwhelmed by the love and support I've received here through the comments.
    I've filed a consumer complaint against Volvo today and I will update as and when there is one.

    Maruti Suzuki gives better customer service than these folks. I own a Ciaz for 3 years and haven't had any problem so far. Yes, I agree the build quality is compromised but atleast I don't have to waste my time running around inexperienced staff. They can only apologize. Surprising to see Volvo creating a bad image. Firstly, the service centre employees aren't trained well to handle sophisticated/international brands. Hence they don't survive in Indian market for long.

  • @mukul1149
    @mukul1149 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

    As i understand, the battery has been changed thrice, the reason for that is not mentioned in the video, but i take it that it was getting discharged in one or two days.
    There can be 4 or 5 reasons for this and probably the service guys did not do a thorough diagnosis to find out the root cause.
    As i see the situation, you can either go legal and wait for an year or two for the courts to decide. There is no gaurantee that the court will rule in your favour, as it is only the battery issue, and as per warranty terms, the dealer has replaced it, albiet thrice. So filing a case may or may not get you the desired result, plus it is time consuming.
    Courts very rarely pass orders for refund or replacement by the manufacturer/dealer, unless there has been a very serious concern with a major assembly and it cannot be rectified. A battery problem is a minor concern.
    Or you may try to further leverage social media to highlight your issue, but that also does not gaurantee a favorable result. At best you may succeed in defaming the company.
    What further action you wish to initiate is your choice, I have tried to give you a balanced view on the probable outcomes.

    File a consumer protection case with your State against speed volvo along with primary party as Volvo India, this case will earn you complete compensation of the vehicle along with interest and all the service costs. And additional compensation from Volvo India. This case clearly violates the conditions of the vehicle. The service center has made a mess of the vehicles integrity and it's operational capabilities. May be substandard parts, ECU messed up.

    Hey there, the lane keep assist feature might not be suitable for the typical road conditions in India. But I noticed something else - the deep battery discharge suggests that your car may have an earthing issue. This could be causing the battery to drain faster than it should, and the ECU might not be able to control it properly.

    Hi. I don’t know much about cars and multimeters but I have an idea for you to get this issue resolved:
    1. Open the car door and jam the door latch with some object so that the car thinks its door is locked. Then lock the car with ur fob and put it away.
    2. Open the fuse box and check every fuse with a multimeter after 15 mins or more after the car’s computer goes into sleep mode.
    If your battery drained in about a day or two it would be much easier to find the source of the battery drain.
    Again I know nothing about this stuff but I think you might want to take matters into ur own hands because they will not help you.
    I hope this helps❤

Car was then towed to the service center. And they said that you didn't check oil or something on time that's why engine is locked and now you'll have to pay full amount for the new engine. They had to fight a lot with Volvo for this after which they agreed to do it without any extra cost. My friend has spent like 20Lakhs on just the maintenance of car over 9-10 year period. Hi.. Battery leakage is a frustrating issue. But since the drainage is happening at such a high pace, there should be some earthing happening leading to current drain.
    Battery replacement might not be an apt solution. Have them check the Electricals thoroughly. Just a thought, did you get an outside accessory installed recently? May be a dash cam? If yes, take it off line and try seeing if problem gets resolved.
    Better to work with the workshop to find the root cause of the problem. Since car is registered and year old, neither the manufacturer or the dealer will give you replacement.

    My girlfriend has spent over 8lks on various repairs on her 2016 V40 r design. I have had to pick her up multiple times after the car has left her stranded. It makes my Land Rover look reliable lol
    Everything from turbo, catalytic converter to various engine components, suspension issues, hoses and pipes completely failed and the dealership could never even diagnose the problem properly. It always took, loading it up on a tow truck, taking it to 2-3 shops and getting multiple mechanics’s opinions to diagnose the real problem because the dealership would sometimes keep it for 2 months at a time and still not be able to let alone solve but even diagnose the problem.
    Ultimately the engine completely failed at 60k kms. Apparently broken fragments from the turbo and / or catalytic converter went into the engine block (still not sure what killed it cause they could never diagnose it)
    and she ended up selling it for a mere 4lks.
    I feel like they’re great cars but they’re just not properly homologated for India and the dealers / mechanics are extremely poorly trained and lack the skill set required to work on them.

    the real problem is not company it is government policies of GST/TAX/RTO. due to this most of the time company are not able to replace or refund. because ones billing is done and rto registration done. there is nothing like undo in the government system. i am not taking side of anyone. one of my dealer friend told me the real problem. many times company wanted to replace or refund but due to all this government policies it is next to impossible to support customer

    Similiar experience with premium product like macbook even after an year also they saw there is no error in diagnostic report the good thing is Apple didn’t wasted neither their time nor mine they asked simple to submit laptop in service center and within 45 money refunded that too out of warranty product. They acknowledged the fact of default unit out of million units. Rather than fighting or going legal is waste of time they valued the time. I believe volvo supposed to act in the similiar fashion i in genz but now i got some feedback of volvo.

    The only problem is volvo's service. It's pathetic. I own a xc60 and have experienced third class service multiple times. No doubt it's far more reliable than other brands but service sucks.
    They don't have any feedback mechanism, your first and last point of contact is the service center. Senior management never responds or acts on your emails.

    If there is abnormal draining of battery within 1 or 2 days, then problem must be with the cabling / wiring which is causing current leakage...no point in replacing battery again & again...service technician must be an expert to diagnose this...Unfortunately, our majority showroom technicians are not the best in this...!!!!☹

  • @singh_vicky
    @singh_vicky หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Volvo can easily replace its car or call back for goodwill but This is the problem with company's Indian management, those gyus are MBAs and to raise profit they want minimise loss, they know that if customer moves to consumer court it will take 7-8 years, then they will files appeals in state, in centre then supreme court and customer gets tired during this 14-15 years. Because you have to pay the lawyers from your pocket while they have hired team of advocates. In between the culprit switches the company and enjoys life. I suggest you to before moving to consumer court (if you are), ask the company and dealer for technical inspection of car for manufacturing defects. Because at later stage higher court will reject you for no inspection.

    i feel very bad for the owner to go through this difficult situation after purchasing such an expensive product which in this case is the volvo xc 40 and and getting satisfactory response for the same. This clearly indicates lack of quality check in manufacturing of volvo cars as a whole and also lack of training of their employees which can be clearly understood from the video .
    all what i can demand from my side is a a replacement car for the owner (obviously) or the money refunded completely (either of the before two as per the owners choice ) and stricter regulations (like the ones in EU for an example) set up so that these companies understand the power of customer and do not harass them both mentally and financially
    ps :-owning a tiago ev makes more sense than luxury cars😂
