Well, for fans or not, Is always important to appeal to a wider audience. For example; I have a few friends who HATE Naruto. but they really love the Ultimate Ninja Storm Games. (heck, I wasn't so familiar with Naruto prior to plating UNS2 myself). There's always going to be that one person that just saw the game on the shelf and thought "that looks cool. I've heard of One Piece before, let's give this a try". and if the game interests or intrigue them enough, they might wanna look into the source material. at the same time, they might turn away from it completely if they don't like it. Hence why it is important to make the game appealing even to non-fans (again, like Naruto UNS, and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure All Star Battle did)
I'm not a fan of One Piece, but do like watching anime casually. I found this review to be useful. I considered getting it due to the fact that the anime is SO long it could help get me involved with the story... But if it does little to give any backstory to so many characters... I won't be buying. So yes. This review IS helpful. Not only One Piece fans view it. ;)
A GOOD game that recreates a story of existing material will tell it's story properly in a way that fans will love, and intrigues non-fans into wanting to check out the source material for themselves. No One Piece does this amazingly well, but the two that come the closest are Pirate Warriors 3, and Grand Adventure. One of my friends played Pirate Warriors 1 last year, which did an okay job at best of telling the story, it had a lot missing, but it got him to want to watch One Piece, and now he's 150 episodes into One Piece and loving it, this game will not have that effect on anyone because of it's mediocre gameplay and lackluster storytelling, so this is definitely a con on the game..
Could we please stop critizising a game for not welcoming newcomers to the series? Of course fans are the main audience, that is the goal of every single anime game. Or would you rather sit through 200 Hours of Story just to let non-fans catch up on the story?
they did on the latest title were you start from the beginning and for me cause i know the story i kind of got bored and making a too long game think wont compensate for the revenue generated from sells
Realblush I just started one piece literally yesterday as I bought the first three volumes of the manga and I'm sort of turned off by these games because I don't want spoilers lol. So I don't think I'll be playing any modern OP games. I'll stick with the GBA OP game for now.
'Bad For Non Fans' I don't think namco is trying to appease the non-fans of One Piece but rather the actual fanbase itself so how the hell is that a con?
Because fans of the franchise will look past all of the cons of the game because they're fans. If you're just coming into the game wanting/expecting a fighting game then you're gonna notice those glaring flaws. Why can't people like you accept other people's opinions?
it has little to no content for fans and non fans...Meaning people can't stay invested too long because unless you just enjoy the characters and the manga...For anyone new there is not much here for anyone who doesn't know the characters or the show to buy it...It's a huge con
I played through Dragon Ball Xenoverse without watching the show before hand and i completely understood the story. Of course it shouldn't go that in depth but a general understanding should be expected
+Th3AfroNinja xenoverse told a multiverse story that you didn't need to watch the anime to understand...The premise was simple we need to help trunks protect the timeline and prevent a new history...That's good for any one to pick up and just start playing without being confused...It even showed what the story was suppose to be in the show before it was altered....One piece just doesn't do that ..It jumps start to marine ford and expect you to just know what's going on...They could have done a lot to bring introduced it to new players.. There's honestly not even much content for fans I have the game...I already beat it I just want more now
and? is a videogame, is a expensive, not all anime fans play videogames. See the problem yet? if not enough people bough the game them is a Loss for Namco. The game looks too crappy anyway. One piece should stick to ADVENTURE formula or Mosuo.
1. That's no excuse. There are plenty of licenced games that cater to fans of the franchise whilst maintaining overall accessibility and fun. 2. Even as a game for just hardcore fans, this is still a flop. Only Marineford? There could have bee 2 more arcs included whilst still being a focused story.
As a non fan fan of op, plus not actually seeing the review that I read the comments, I disagree by that negative where I only noticed the game since it has fighting in it and it looks Intresting

Not a fan of DBZ at all, but Xenoverse is cool. Just because you don't watch an anime doesn't mean you'll turn down a good looking game. (not saying this looks good or bad)
Because maybe games are usually designed in a way to get people aren't usually fans of a series into that series. You don't think they make Street Fighter or GTA games just for the fans do you?
Ive been plating this game for a while now and belive me it's a must have for one piece fans! It's actually really good, the story mode is more like a way to train your self for the online mode which is were this game excels! I would give it 8/10 Pros: Animation style Well balanced characters Battle mechanic Online Cons: Not the ideal single player mode NO SOGEKING!
+IamAliG that's true but they can't make money and more games off just our money it's like sports game they try to realism in the game but have to make for casuals also so you can make money or in super smash bros they allow casual players to play but it also has a competitive scene

nick briggs While I agree with what you said for the most part, One Piece is a series that is always gaining more and more fans. Ace's death was like five or six years ago at this point.
RiseRomil Gaming lol that os weird my guess though os that the dolfamingo fight was happening around this time the dressrosa arc so they wonted to give onepiece fans that exrra imcentive to buy the game
This game is awesome, usually IGN knows what they’re talking about but couldn’t be more wrong here. Each character has a unique and deep move set and special attributes that don’t show up in other games. The combat is fun and defiantly enjoyable
Honestly don't care what IGN says, I had a blast trying to make my own combos today. My week has been filled with this game, Overwatch, Doom, and Uncharted 4 and I couldn't be happier
+OttoeCamn Yet you see similar arguments on whether UNS is good or not. There are non-onepiece fans who like this too. I've shown this game to my friends as a cool fighting game we can play together and they enjoy it, one piece fan or not. I've also gotten people to play Naruto with me, and to be honest it took longer for people to learn how to play Naruto than it took them to learn this.
+OttoeCamn Sorry, I thought you were like most people here who say that the combat systems of NUNS is better because non Naruto fans like it, so I responded that my non-onepiece fan friends like this game too.
+★Sweet Legacy★ they did another one after on their website. it's popular opinion that the video review was BS lol. shouldn't trust ign for reviews anyway just wait for gamespot me.ign.com/en/m/naruto-shippuden-ultimate-ninja-storm-4-ps4-2/115502/review/naruto-shippuden-ultimate-ninja-storm-4-review
+Goddess Miranda.Cosgrove of course they do. The fact that u could spam super attacks in one piece burning blood without any restraint is a major flaw in itself. It's just that the in depth reviews for these type of games are very inconsistent.
WnIyLkLvIiAsMt97 whatever that is probably takes way less time than learning 1-frame link combos, Resets, EX Combos and Crossups in Street Fighter. Face it kiddo, every character in this game behaves the same way, there's no matchups.
as a one piece fan I'd give it a 8.3 but for what it's worth its around a 7. They're missing some characters like Rob Lucci and Ceaser Clown and the Combat could use work. But no doubt in my mind the sequel will make those improvements
This is the first one piece fighting game we ever had and the developers spike chunsoft wanted to create that for the fans. Non fans wouldn't care about the story, they just care about the gameplay.
After watching this and hearing about the 10 out of 10 ratings for COD I am starting to doubt your Death stranding reviews. Games aren't all gameplay IGN
The downers are really easy to fix. I mean, they left some cool characters out, like Lucci, Vista, Garp, Monet, Vergo, Bellamy... We could have more maps and all, but in general, im really satisfied with the game. We desperatly needed a real fighting OP game, and this one has good graphics, really good fighting system, considering it is the first game... I really imagine the next versions will be simple to develop. All the problems are easy to solve, the hardest thing, which would demand most time (fighting system) is already solid. Add a serious campaign mode (maybe that is the biggest downer, too short, and only one arc, we can think bigger). More characters, more maps (with better design, also) and I would be ok. Im a fan, and Im really pleased with it. I have fun playing it, that is the most important part. It looks like im watching the anime. All the attcks of each character are represented in their moveset, and even the technical concepts of Haki and Logia are coherent to what the author had explained. I know non-fans prabably feel it is stupid. But really. The game is totally meaningless if you are not a fan. So, I think this game was almost the best start they could get. 8/10 for me. If you are a fan and enjoy fighting games, just buy it. You need time to understand the game system and each character, but after you master their movesets, you start to get good and enjoy the game. That is my opinion
+Local Man Saves Anime on their website me.ign.com/en/m/naruto-shippuden-ultimate-ninja-storm-4-ps4-2/115502/review/naruto-shippuden-ultimate-ninja-storm-4-review
+OneLazyOtaku Pretty much every storm game except Revolution(they didn't review that one) and Storm 4 (even though the only problem that they pointed out that many people agree with is the story mode and it's screenshot cutscenes).
take it from me guys .. you love one piece ? and you love fighting games in general ? if yes, then BUY THIS GAME I'm like 2 trophies away from Platinum =)
just expect the story mode is gonna be short and you'll probably end up wanting more. I played OP UWR the 3ds iteration of this game and Its mostly the same game. Same pros and cons almost the same score too.The review is spot on but its really fun to play your favorite characters. I even replayed some of the boss fights just to use the others (not sure if that's doable here). Really enjoyed beating the crap out of blackbeard on that game tho.
I think the rating is really bad for this game, I love it because I'm a diehard fan of one piece and that is who this game is directed to. I believe they should add more characters, moves, and special arenas that are interactable. In my opinion, this game should get a 8.4 because it's a relatively new game and they could add more updates. The bad part is that you have to beat the story before you can multiplayer fight, but the story is fun and challenging and it teaches you the story.
It's fun for a little while but it kinda gets a little too repetitive, there's hardly any mix ups in anyone's playstyle and the fighting feels bland and clunky. I agree with this review, it's actually pretty fair.
So they didn't go over any of the counters, haki techs, or the actually depth of combo system and then bash it for being sloppy? Then again this is a IGN review so it's not like we should expect them to be good at anything or at least try to figure things out, but a lot of people who play games are like that.
Why do people get butt-hurt over reviews? It's all subject to opinions. None of them MATTER! Stop your bitchin' and either love or hate the game... People these days.
Man I wanna get into one piece but there's just to many episodes can someone point towards some type of video/source that can some up each ark so I can be caught up
Proof of the game system being clever is that, if you go online and simply smash the buttons (like what happens in lots of fighting games) you will get totally obliterated. You need to make strategies. The big maps helps in that aspect, you can calculate better
I dont think he rated this fairly mainly in the gameplay element. the camera angle is fine considering its not a 2d fighter which almost all fighters are fair enough tekken is what 3d? but its a free movement kind of game not to mention there are ways to close in on your opponent to save time when chasing them down.
I love this as a fighter and I really want to see how we the players can develop tactics for competetive that aren't spamming and develop tactics that counters spamming and button-mashing. If it's not possible in this game, we'll give feedback to the creators and see how they balance it in the next game. Now in my following comments, I will review your review of this game.
The big problem is : The fight system is too unbalanced Spaming long ranged attacks is nearly unstoppable and simply too broken, some characters like garp are as just insane because of their movepool, being able to have insane luck by mashing your square button to hope to interrupt your opponents combo and then being able to make based on pure luck sometimes about 40% damage is just stupid af. It has good basics, but it definately has to be polished
The only complaint i have about this game: where the heck is magellan. he seems like the most obvious choice for a fighter besides what's shown, even moreso than frikin ivankov. so where is he?
Bad for non-fans shouldn't be a "con". Thinking about the fans while developing a game is one of the most important things. With Metal Gear Solid V happened the opposite and Fans (not all of them) felt disappointed.
3. The story Well whether it under or over delivers this one short piece of fiction used for the story is not only fantastic as a story but beautifully rendered as well. Either way this surely gets a 8/10 in story. Under delivered 8/10 and Over delivered 8/10 = 16/20 = 8/10
IGN just proved something to me. That they DO awful reviews. I have this game and ill rate it a 8/10. This is not a game for people that just want a fighter. Its for One Piece fans. Otherwise you wouldn't know whats going on in the fights. Should of got someone who loves One Piece to do this review. I have missed out on good games because of IGNs reviews.
No, it should be the opposite. I do agree that they should at least have some knowledge of the source material before playing (which this guy clearly had btw) but they shouldn't review this as a one piece game, they should review it as a game period. And for the record he did say it's great for fans of the serious. Tbh it sounds like you're a butthurt fanboy cause he didn't agree with you...
Will if you have some one who loves one piece like me I'll say it's a 10/10 which is not true but I also love video games so I know it's a OK game so many balance issues and short story my lil brother is not even close to the Marine fard ark so he is trying to avoid it till he is caught up
He straights up tells people in the review that you'll like this game if you like one piece. But as a fan i can say it lacks substance. The campaign is dreadfully repetitive and reuse cutscenes. It also lacks in substance. The combat isn't really that groundbreaking either.
Phew I'm early, so I hope for an better answer here: Is it worth getting it just for the solo-experience? I never plan to go online, I'm totaly fine with it, but not, if the content is like in "Street Fighter V". I normaly love quirky modes like "Abyss Mode" in "BlazBlue" with a bit leveling or just something a little different than the standard "Arcade Mode". :)
MrQuarantine For the supporting, true thing, I don't care. Years ago I was a HUGE "One Piece"-fan and I was hyped for every new game. Now, I couldn't care less about "Burning Blood", but I played the demo and the gameplay is a blast. I normaly can keep entertaining myself with just the AI, but I also wanna fight for things/unlockables and not just fight for the sake of fighting. And in "SFV" (didn't bought it) was it just the "Training Mode" and a "Survival Mode", last one with insane unlock-conditions. And it was all around playing online. In "Dead Or Alive 5", there is the "Arcade", "Time Attack" and an rather interesting "Survival Mode" and every mode as an solo and team-version, so for unlocking and clearing things, there was much content without scratching the online-portion of the game. And like I said, in "BlazBlue" the "Abyss Mode". Or "Tekken Tag Tournament" with an endless fighting-mode for unlocking costumes and winning money. Excuse my crappy english.
MrQuarantine Aaaah that sounds nice. Yeah, I have my pricedrop right around the corner: 10,-€ at gamestop in exchange for 2 games I didn't play anymore. ^^ Thanks for helping! :)
Have the game right now, it's a blast to play. :) The story is a bit unbalanced and I have no clue what leveling does and if it helps for the unbalanced fights. ^^"
***** I mostly pick randoms, just to try everyone out. Otherwise, a combo between the younger luffy, Zoro and Smoker/Sanji with "Gold Roger" and "Dragon" as supports, just to end things quick. ^^
i agree with the score, but "bad for non-fans"? why would you play an anime game if you're not already a fan of the anime? most anime games are all about fanservice anyway.
No. I love him too. He's currently my favorite character to play as. I played a ranking battle against someone and we both had him on our team. Surprisingly I won (by a hair lol). Kizaru is my other favorite character to play as :)
1.8/10 dont have sogeking.
Agreed we need God Ussop
+Justin Ryan the we need tge pirate warrior usopp
I would like a Sogeking DLC and have his ultimate Fire Bird Star
NO! WE NEED MORE STORY MODE! the was was tooooooooooooo short
sniper king
Bad for non-fans? it's only for fans how the hell is that a con
i think he just wanna said that fans will love it and figther gamers will +/-

A lot One Piece fans want a game like Dragon Ball Xenoverse, One Piece Unlimited World Red, and One Piece Pirate Warriors again.
jeet ain't worth it to me,that was what I was trying to say
they really should stop reviewing anime games alltogether.
anime games should stop being crap
agreed on that
Normally I'd agree with you, but I have played this, and he was too kind, I think it's hot garbage
How are the lock on controls? Reviewer said it was similar to J-Stars so I'm expecting something horrendous.
They should stop reviewing things in general
Not enough Laboon 1/10

I'm not a fan but I would have gave it a higher score just because it fun to play

Another review from ign that's incredibly biased to anime. Well done, I can't wait to see you give the new Call of Duty another 10.
It honestly doesn't look that great... and this is coming from someone who bought Storm 4 day 1 without being a big Naruto fan.
Funny, as CoD has never gotten a perfect score.
+weedwak lowest they've gotten was like an 8.8 which is hilarious
+weedwak Funny, they've never gotten a 6.
+Dang Gaming funny one piece never gotten an 8
"Ill surpass you" Kong Guns chopper.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Namco should really focus on a one piece action adventure game like in tales of berseria with more focus on the pirate exploration.
Jake Matthews Your wish came true
Dreamcast Dazia lol I was going to say those same exact words
Dreamcast Dazia now lets just see if it delivers
Jake Matthews what about unlimited world red?
Dreamcast Dazia wait with what?
Ive been plating this game for a while now and belive me it's a must have for one piece fans! It's actually really good,

I would give it 8/10
Pros:
Animation style

+IamAliG not true if a non naruto fan plays a naruto game they playing through the whole story and basically understand what's going on

not really, I know a bunch of people who don't like Naruto but like the UNS games.

Just throwing it out there may not want to put a spoiler like a characters death in your review.
The trailer for the campaign spoiled his death.
But aces death happened a year before this game. everyone knows he didn't make it out. If you where a real fan you would have known it was coming. Comment invalid.
IamAliG Shame.
nick briggs While I agree with what you said for the most part, One Piece is a series that is always gaining more and more fans.
Ace's death was like five or six years ago at this point.
IamAliG Enough time has past since Ace got killed in the series for people to talk about it publicly.
Why is DoFlamnigo on the cover of the game even though the story takes place when Luffy is trying to save Ace? Makes no sense
RiseRomil Gaming lol that os weird my guess though os that the dolfamingo fight was happening around this time the dressrosa arc so they wonted to give onepiece fans that exrra imcentive to buy the game
Cause this game was coming out during the dressrosa arc
doflamingo is a warlord he got a few scenes in the marine ford arc so maybe thats why
because doflamingo sells big bucks
This game is awesome, usually IGN knows what they’re talking about but couldn’t be more wrong here. Each character has a unique and deep move set and special attributes that don’t show up in other games. The combat is fun and defiantly enjoyable
"Burning Bloods 9 large stages" Opens up the stage list, 12 stages there...hmmm
Honestly don't care what IGN says, I had a blast trying to make my own combos today. My week has been filled with this game, Overwatch, Doom, and Uncharted 4 and I couldn't be happier
I give the game a decent 8.5 rating,, it's very good thou,,
I hope they will make it perfect in the next Burning Blood 2
for me the game gets a 9 one of my favorite games
this game is still better than jump force in my opinion
Come on EVERY Anime Game is made for Fans obviously, that People who dont watch/like the Anime wont like it in most scenarios is a No-Brainer !!! WTF
The Naruto games beg to differ.

It didn't lol. Look at there ign website. Storm 4 review got an 8.5
It got a 5
Midora "Third Tiger" But the main review video was an 5.5 and that was their final verdict

me.ign.com/en/m/naruto-shippuden-ultimate-ninja-storm-4-ps4-2/115502/review/naruto-shippuden-ultimate-ninja-storm-4-review
Midora "Third Tiger" That site is fake as hell
wow....if you're not caught up to this point in the manga...spoilers man
I mean marineford is old news at this point. Pmuch everything pre time skip is fair game to spoil at this point
He's talking about Gear 4th.
The trailer spoiled all of the plot points in Marineford and the cover spoils the fact that Sabo is alive.
+WoWKlump gear 4 was is the manga and anime already tho
4th gear is sort of a smaller point but I guess it probably could have been avoided but the manga has had that part out for a while now
What one piece needs is a 2D fighter made by someone good. Imagine the roster and and options for mechanics with all the crazy abilities.
7.8 out of 10 too many damn pirates
here's a joke
IGN game reviews
"Arenas are too big" 6.5/10 IGN
Try it for yourself the game is good
Ign should some reviewing anime fighters like one piece, Naruto and dragonball z because these games really are meant for the fans of these series's
Stop*
still doesnt mean it doesnt have flaws
+Goddess Miranda.Cosgrove of course they do. The fact that u could spam super attacks in one piece burning blood without any restraint is a major flaw in itself. It's just that the in depth reviews for these type of games are very inconsistent.
+ValenKnight I wasn't talking about the reviewer in particular
Don't worry about it dude. This game is getting patch and this is the reviewer's opinion about the game.
"I can't seem to learn the game mechanics. so 6.5"
True Dat M8.
the game doesn't have any to learn lmao
+Snake Eater Then would you tell me how to 100-0 someone with Sanji?
+Snake Eater And Because I'm on my phone I have to add in a second comment that I mean in a single true combo.
WnIyLkLvIiAsMt97 whatever that is probably takes way less time than learning 1-frame link combos, Resets, EX Combos and Crossups in Street Fighter. Face it kiddo, every character in this game behaves the same way, there's no matchups.
they should've make the story mode start from the beginning when we 1st meet Luffy and the lead it up to Dressora arc
as a one piece fan I'd give it a 8.3 but for what it's worth its around a 7. They're missing some characters like Rob Lucci and Ceaser Clown and the Combat could use work. But no doubt in my mind the sequel will make those improvements
because it's not a button masher like storm 4. it's a good game, but at least half the support characters should be playable
I just got the game and the combat is wack. Press square x times I'm shocked an arena fighter has been made that's more limited than the storm games
This is the first one piece fighting game we ever had and the developers spike chunsoft wanted to create that for the fans. Non fans wouldn't care about the story, they just care about the gameplay.
No way the dressrosa arc was six years ago
Burning Blood really makes you *FEEL* like Straw Hats....
this game isnt dead yet?
After watching this and hearing about the 10 out of 10 ratings for COD I am starting to doubt your Death stranding reviews. Games aren't all gameplay IGN
Most nonfans wouldn't buy the game anyway smh IGN should just stop reviewing anime related things in all. Annoys me greatly.
Kaiser Kaioken The general public are the ones who give the company the revenue they need; and in terms of sales "true fans" are the minority.
I'll just wait for a redone review like they did for Storm 4
They did?
Local Man Saves Anime yeah like two mothns after the orginal got so much hate
***** Can you send me the link please?
I can't seemto find it but i know for a fact that they review it again
+Local Man Saves Anime on their website me.ign.com/en/m/naruto-shippuden-ultimate-ninja-storm-4-ps4-2/115502/review/naruto-shippuden-ultimate-ninja-storm-4-review
Wished they would just make OP games, like the ninja storm ones.
i mean this is probably as similar as we could get to a storm one
can i use johny depp in this game ?
There are more support characters than playable characters ffs...
Can someone send me a link to a IGN anime game review were they praise the game.
Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 & 2 would probably be prime examples
+OneLazyOtaku Pretty much every storm game except Revolution(they didn't review that one) and Storm 4 (even though the only problem that they pointed out that many people agree with is the story mode and it's screenshot cutscenes).
It's Above average in my opnion,
i hope they bring it up for the sequel
Are there still people playing online on ps4?
80% right now on steam yay can't wait to play the marineford arc ;-;
There will never be an anime beat-em-up quite like Cory in the House.
take it from me guys ..
you love one piece ? and you love fighting games in general ? if yes, then BUY THIS GAME
I'm like 2 trophies away from Platinum =)
None of the One Piece games are made for non fans.
Looks like the perfect game to rent for the weekend.
Looks like the perfect game to never play
just expect the story mode is gonna be short and you'll probably end up wanting more. I played OP UWR the 3ds iteration of this game and Its mostly the same game. Same pros and cons almost the same score too.The review is spot on but its really fun to play your favorite characters. I even replayed some of the boss fights just to use the others (not sure if that's doable here). Really enjoyed beating the crap out of blackbeard on that game tho.
is it possible to download the Japanese version in America on the ps4?
I think the rating is really bad for this game, I love it because I'm a diehard fan of one piece and that is who this game is directed to. I believe they should add more characters, moves, and special arenas that are interactable. In my opinion, this game should get a 8.4 because it's a relatively new game and they could add more updates. The bad part is that you have to beat the story before you can multiplayer fight, but the story is fun and challenging and it teaches you the story.
6.5 Okay:
+Lovely Graphics
+Dense Roster
+Flashy Combat
-Short Single-player
-Bad for Non-fans
Follow me on twitter @RevolverDuck
It's fun for a little while but it kinda gets a little too repetitive, there's hardly any mix ups in anyone's playstyle and the fighting feels bland and clunky. I agree with this review, it's actually pretty fair.
LOL
So they didn't go over any of the counters, haki techs, or the actually depth of combo system and then bash it for being sloppy?
Then again this is a IGN review so it's not like we should expect them to be good at anything or at least try to figure things out, but a lot of people who play games are like that.
Fourth gear?
Man if you're buying a one-piece game and you don't know the story don't buy a one piece game. And that goes for any anime game respectively.
i give ign's reviewing skills a 2 out of 10
*Gamers Logic*
Low score meaning you can't enjoy the game now. Time to sell it.
Why do people get butt-hurt over reviews? It's all subject to opinions. None of them MATTER! Stop your bitchin' and either love or hate the game... People these days.
Man I wanna get into one piece but there's just to many episodes can someone point towards some type of video/source that can some up each ark so I can be caught up
Dude the gold version is for 12 dollars rn
Proof of the game system being clever is that, if you go online and simply smash the buttons (like what happens in lots of fighting games) you will get totally obliterated. You need to make strategies. The big maps helps in that aspect, you can calculate better
O , so this game is on Xbox as well ? I thought it was PSVITA-PS4 exclusive , nice
I dont think he rated this fairly mainly in the gameplay element. the camera angle is fine considering its not a 2d fighter which almost all fighters are fair enough tekken is what 3d? but its a free movement kind of game not to mention there are ways to close in on your opponent to save time when chasing them down.
Does it have 2player offline battles?
6.5 how? Should be at least 9
The big problem is :
The fight system is too unbalanced
Spaming long ranged attacks is nearly unstoppable and simply too broken, some characters like garp are as just insane because of their movepool, being able to have insane luck by mashing your square button to hope to interrupt your opponents combo and then being able to make based on pure luck sometimes about 40% damage is just stupid af.
It has good basics, but it definately has to be polished
does this game run at 60fps?
the review sounds.like this game should be a 4
I tried the game and its great fun definitely something to get a break from other fighting games like tekken
if it only had rob lucci in the main roster ...
I cried when the roster came out and not one CP9 character was in the playable roster
Rob Lucci is playable character,, DLC content
This video contains a MASSIVE spoiler on the akainu vs ace fight. Wtf, IGN?
The only complaint i have about this game: where the heck is magellan. he seems like the most obvious choice for a fighter besides what's shown, even moreso than frikin ivankov. so where is he?
he's a support
Why a non fan gonna buy this game ????
Bad for non-fans shouldn't be a "con". Thinking about the fans while developing a game is one of the most important things. With Metal Gear Solid V happened the opposite and Fans (not all of them) felt disappointed.
3. The story
Well whether it under or over delivers this one short piece of fiction used for the story is not only fantastic as a story but beautifully rendered as well.
Either way this surely gets a 8/10 in story.
Under delivered 8/10 and Over delivered 8/10 = 16/20 = 8/10
is it true to unlock multiplayer you have to play through the story?
for like 10 minutes
Will if you have some one who loves one piece like me I'll say it's a 10/10 which is not true but I also love video games so I know it's a OK game so many balance issues and short story my lil brother is not even close to the Marine fard ark so he is trying to avoid it till he is caught up
It could be for fans , but still offer a good fighting with tight gameplay, which assuming by the trailers it isn't..
***** what do you mean?
He straights up tells people in the review that you'll like this game if you like one piece. But as a fan i can say it lacks substance. The campaign is dreadfully repetitive and reuse cutscenes. It also lacks in substance. The combat isn't really that groundbreaking either.
Why does this dude sound familiar..?
Phew I'm early, so I hope for an better answer here:
Is it worth getting it just for the solo-experience?
Thanks for helping! :)
Have the game right now, it's a blast to play. :)
The story is a bit unbalanced and I have no clue what leveling does and if it helps for the unbalanced fights.
This or storm? Can't decide...
Who made Robin fight Chopper, we need to talk.
Lmao
Fr
The guy who is narrating sounds like saul goodman 😂
I have a idea for people get some background info on the series before buying it
when you compare tekken to a standalone title for one piece
Started one piece this year passed this story is this game worth it though?🤔
Is this or any one piece game in english dub
ign review for one piece anime..7.8/10 too much episodes
Let’s hope they say Luffy s name right this time
ACE DIES?! Well thanks IGN for spoiling the end of my favourite character... jk
Ace is so underrated
Yo the Controls are weird can someone help?
Am I the only one who loves Marco's DF?
No. I love him too. He's currently my favorite character to play as. I played a ranking battle against someone and we both had him on our team. Surprisingly I won (by a hair lol). Kizaru is my other favorite character to play as :)
Why are they treating like it's supposed to be like the storm series
This about what I expected. Actually it sounds a little better than I expected. A fun distraction :)
