I can't believe they actually put Robin grabbing someone's balls as an attack in this game. They really did their research.
Except they gave Zoro a functional map 😔
Fun fact: that attack deals extra damage on male characters and Ussop is more effective against fools.
I know they did it in the Warriors games. Had no idea they’d do it again.

Because these animations were done with pre ts, I’m glad that the game devs payed attention to certain details, such as luffy not having his chest scar while going into Gear 4, and Snakeman having all his teeth
I mean, snakeman not having teeth isn’t part of the design. that’s just cause he was already beaten up by Katakuri prior to activating Gear 4. nothing to do with pre-timeskip.

@@ondrejmachovsky2654 Franky's physical changes are from his own choices and his memory is probably good enough he recreated his new body asap. He really would have no reason not to... What I'm wondering is uf Brook did the same, just with his appearance.

@@lanni5 Only difference is that when you use Pre timeskip luffy gear 4, he doesn't have the X scar in his chest. Looks weird to me but apparently people like it.

It only does damage to enemies who are fools, if they have 1 brain cell they take 0 damage which I think is a really funny detail.
When I first saw it I was like “damnnn it must’ve been ineffective” then I saw “2,000 damage-“ I was shrieking with joy 😂

I kinda wish they use more canon teamup attacks. Not that many options for triple or quadruple attacks but there were so many unique duo attacks like the Uso-cho Comet, Armée de L'Air Gomu Shoot, and Fra-per Hammer
I'm surprised no one commented on the fact that any attack involving Sanji will do no damage to female opponents.
Because there are very few female opponents

Since the game uses alot of Pre-Timeskip, it’s understandable they give us the classic looks. But I get what you mean. Felt strange seeing Gear 4 without the chest scar
Also, why is Luffy pre-timeskip? Is there a specific reason?

As a one piece and turn based game lover especially FFX AND X-2, this game really make me happy and the animation looks really good too
I think what makes me happy is how rare turn based rpg nowadays, usually when they can make the rpg with 3d models like this, they opt with the real time rpg one.
Also, like others are saying, I do hope we get more costumes, I rly wanna see chopper with his red jacket from Enies Lobby.
well I mean the world's a pre-order bonuses and sniper King but yes I mean post launch I mean there will be more DLC coming next month or two at least probably as well as probably future story arcs post Dressrosa

Man these comments aged like milk. We got none of this good stuff. No new costumes, crappy dlc with same bosses from base game, no new party members. Pw4 is where it's at right now.
These animations are top tier for an anime game.

Naruto Storm 4 and DBZ Kakarot are better tbh.
It helps that it’s an rpg they know what the scenery will be and the general enemy placements so it gives them more freedom to get crazy with it and be more anime accurate.

and pre ts gear 4th doesn't have the scar, neat detail there, i thought they would just use the post ts model/texture

The levels of fanservive of this game is perfect! Using nearly every iconic attack of from across all sagas with perfect animations!
Love the attack animations also as you’re watching it you’re also looking at how much damage they do this game not only brings forth good animation, but also good RPG aspects as well if I had more hands 10 thumbs ups all the way
Ace talking to Luffy during Red Hawk 2 is a nice touch 🔥

For those who enjoy the anime, it's impossible not to like this game, it's very beautiful, I recorded a gameplay of its introduction in 8K HDR, I thought it gave more light to the scenarios, I'm going to bring the story mode of this work of art.
Yep. I usually don’t like round based fights and am also not a huge fan of such linear games but 6 hours in its incredibly fun. The dialogues and characters interactions makes it actually feel like one piece

It's obvious we will cause the opening I've seen on another channel and they all are wearing post time skip gear but all the moves here have been in pre time skip clothes, also nami got a climitact that's from the whole cake arc
Pre time skip stuff was a preordained bonus from what I remember. Definitely need more than just regular pre and post though, there's so many good ones to choose from.

Yes. It's been, I don't know how many years, and the Strawhats are still wearing their post marineford timescape outfits, and they're still at the same point of the story, with the same set of moves. The One Piece video games really have not evolved at all.
It's pretty much the same video game, with a different skin (the environment).
I'd be more interested in a filler-esque game, that has no link to the canon story, than these types of games, at least until we're done with the arc past Wano, cause I'm sure they won't do a new video game with the current story until we're 2 arcs past Whole Cake Island.
One of the grunts dodged this attack at 20:37. His Observation Haki is godlike
The fact that they included the ball grabbing move that Robin did to Franky to get him on the crew is priceless.

I don't like post time skip Chopper because of Kung Fu Point, that point is horrible and ruined what Chopper could have been, i miss pre time skip Chopper

Poeple complaining about gear 5 when it's look like a post fhisher men arc but before wano or Dressrosa (I'm at Punk hasard so if there is some Dressrosa stuff my bad). But this one is okay if you think they should done it post wano.
Poeple complaining about turn based. First you know turn base isn't only personna 5 pokemon or old FF it's a style of game. If you dislike turn based it's okay but it's not an objectiv issue it's subjective. I really like turn base rpg does it make it better ? No. Just more fitting for my taste. (Oh and I also like fighting game don't worry 😁)
