I’m very sorry to hear you have cancer. I work in the medical field and treatment for prostate cancer has come a long way. Sending you well wishes and fast recovery from Maryland. ♥️
Thank you! It is good that they have more treatment options now but my oncologist said prostate cancer is years behind in the options that they have for breast cancer. When prostate cancer was more a disease of old men it wasn't as crucial to look beyond 10 years. But with more younger men getting this diagnosis we need to catch up with the treatments.
Having watched your sweet family in videos over the years I'm sure they don't think of it as a sacrifice at all to stay home to keep out the germs! I'm here supporting you and your family on this journey from Kansas!
What are you talking about??? Staying home? How are you going to pay for chemo unless YOU work full time to get health insurance from your job..? How could any other family member stay home? It costs a fortune to have these types of therapies.. How can you even buy food unless you work full time?
Prayers for a speedy recovery. My step-dad just got done with his treatment for the same thing we are now in the waiting period to find out if it worked
Thanks Mike! I hope things work out for your step-dad. I know I will have that tense waiting period to go through too but right now I am busy shedding hair like a sheep dog in summer. : )
1:12 😅 first I’m in tears watching your video and then I start laughing at the costumes you described. And there’s my Segway to tell you how much I love your shirt as well. My wife was just diagnosed with cancer as well. I’m going to finish watching your video now, so I know how to take care of her. I love your energy and presentation❤️
Hi, on my second cycle of chemo. Using ice booties and mitts from day one. Some of what you speak of here is the same experience I have had so far. I have been blessed that I have not had much nausea. Once the steroid wears off on day 3 I am hit with a lot of fatigue and some pain as the tumor tries to fight back. My mental attitude is vibrating positive about 90% of the time so to me that is a big factor to murder these tumors. Hope you had a good result!
Hey there! Sounds like you are on the right track. After six rounds of chemo over 18 weeks they had trouble even seeing any cancer in the follow-up MRI. But they still wanted me to have 40 weeks of radiation- which I did last summer. I am still on Lupron for one more year and then we will see what all the numbers show! If you are interested- I put my several "chemo vlog" videos together in one longer video here- th-cam.com/video/_0HG-Us0Wrg/w-d-xo.html Wishing you all the best!
I hope things go well and you're healthy again as soon as possible. I've appreciate your videos for a long time. Since back when you were doing the self winding garden hoses. But right now the important thing is getting healthy. We'll be here whenever you feel like uploading.
Thanks for posting this, Parris. I start docetaxel for breast cancer in 3 days time and I do appreciate you sharing your experiences. It's really helpful and has actually helped me realise I can cope with it. And I loved hearing it's plant based.
Thank you for sharing your journey with us. You and your family are in my prayers. Your positive attitude and inquisitive approach to this challenge will go a long way in helping you heal. All the best.
There were a few rough days. I had my two week post-infusion lab visit today and my white blood cell count is back up to normal. So I have a full week where I can go back to doing my usual stuff before they knock my numbers down again.
Thanks Ross! At my appointment yesterday they said my white blood cell count is back up to normal (after being down to zero a week ago). They were pleased my immune system bounced back quickly- and so am I. So this week I can almost go back to normal.
I’m set to start taxotere a week from today and your suggestions about cold gloves abs booties and replenishing gut bacteria were great. I will watch your video again to make sure I didn’t miss anything. Good luck to you!
Thank you for sharing what you are going through. My husband had prostate cancer almost ten years ago and went through CyberKnife. Thank God he is doing fine. I will keep you in my prayers and I will also keep your wife in them too. Take care and I just know you will be okay. God bless you.
God bless you sir I have watched all of your journey through chemo and beyond , very informative and concise, please continue sharing your journey and stay positive😢
I have TNBC went through chemo, now have that numb crap on hands and feet and heard it is permanent, ain't that fun....I just ran into your channel, don't know you but you look like you can pull through, great personality!
I am sorry to hear about the neuropathy. I just visited a friend in Montana who is doing very strong chemo and he can no longer touch anything cold or his hand goes numb. He has taken to wearing gloves a lot but it really affects a lot of things in his life- and I am sure it does for you too. My worst side effects have been from the radiation. But 90% of life is showing up- so I keep showing up.
"The prayer of faith will heal the sick' " My grandson Joseph Jacob aged ten years old was diagnosed with 4th stage cancer and was advised six months of chemo. With prayers we started chemotherapy inJune 2024. July God gave us this verse before the blood test. "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; and having spoiled principalities and powers,he made a show of them openly triumphing over them in it. The sca n report was" cancer free " PRAISE the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY FATHER in the mighty name of JESUS CHRIST. Friend I hope your well - I'm day 5 after the first infusion - April didn't go very well - but today was a very good day and enjoyed very much - I know moving forward I need to hope for the best and prepare for challenges - Parris you were so helpful TY - it's 5 45am let's see what today brings. . .
Wonderful person❗️Thank U so much for the video. I will probably have to start it soon-having bone marrow procedure on a couple of days. Really appreciate what U have done, sharing Ur experience.🥀
I hope you are feeling better. I had my follow up blood test yesterday and my white blood cell count is back up to normal. The doctor was pleased and so am I!
My doctor is recommending chemo so your post is very very useful to me. With regard to constipation, which i had bad about a month ago, I found that taking 2 "Vitafusion" Vitamin D3 pills from vitafusion reliably return a BM in about 2 hours. These vitamins are "gummy" ones in the form of small fruits of different colors. They chew up nicely however, and as i said, a BM is reliably available about 2 hours later. I've tried several other commercial products at the local drugstore and none of them work as well as these vitafusion gummy vitamins. Besides the Vitamin D3, i've also tried the same company''s one with magnesium. It also has the same effect on my, i.e. a BM. This bottle also had some remarks on it about being good for "digestive health".
I watch your brothers videos and I just had to sub to your channel as well my uncle passed away from this horrible demon cancer he had no chance to beat it it spread so fast they couldn't remission it I hope you beat this horrible demon and they get you in remission 🙏
Thank you for creating these videos, I'm helping somebody get through chemo and it helps to know what to expect. Good luck to you and I hope you beat this terrible disease.
Thanks so much. I am three years post-chemo now. I think making the videos was helpful for me as well- sort of like video journaling. I wish the best for the person you are helping- and many thanks to you for being there for someone going through this.
I hope the best for you. I’m not sure what I’m going to do, having just been diagnosed with what looks to be liver cancer. I don’t really have a caregiver. It doesn’t sound as if the chemotherapy will let one function on his or her own. I would imagine they may not even let you leave, after getting a chemotherapy treatment. That is, unless you have a ride and not an Uber. I even looked into state assisted suicide as sort of a last resort but my state doesn’t qualify.
Sorry to hear about the issues you might have getting treatment. I did my chemo the first year of Covid and nobody was allowed to accompany me inside the Oncology Center. I didn't want to ask a family member to wait for hours in the car so I just drove myself there and back. Depending on your exact chemo that may be an option. If you need a caregiver to go with you there are companies that offer that service. I arranged that for my father when he needed a doctor's visit by cabulance and I wasn't able to go with him. Here is a company that offers that in Seattle- www.daysurgerycompanionservice.com/ Please don't let the logistics of it prevent you from getting treatment for your cancer.
@@parristx Thanks for your well wishes. Having to go through the Covid period with your treatment sounds horrible. You managed though which is the most important. After my consult, it was determined that no chemo yet but radiation ablation. Guess it’s somewhat similar to Angioplasty. They have a probe that goes up through the groin. It goes to the liver and zaps the lesion or tumor. Fortunately there is only one lesion now. That’s it for the procedure. I’ll have MRI’s done every 3 months to see how things progress. This will be for probably 18 months. However if other lesions develop, it most likely will be full chemo. If everything works out to plan, I might get another 4-5 yrs. I’ll take whatever I can get. Realistically, if I can get 3 years with no suffering I’m fine. That will put me at 75 yrs old. I wish you well and appreciate your advice and information. Good Luck!
Severe bloating, chest pain, headache ,eye pain, ear, head pressure. Hard to breathe. On nebulizer. Weakness. Soups.Luke having dementia. Nausea. Before chemo they give pepcid and benadryl. Benadryl puts me to sleep. I sleep through chemo. Dont like. First round was 7 hours.
Praying for you all dear sisters and brothers. Be thou healed in the mighty name of JESUS CHRIST the LORD GOD our HEALER. God bless you all abundantly and fulfill all your heart's desires and make you mighty witnesses to show that Jesus Christ is the only true living God.
Parris, I have watched extremely helpful series of videos and have recently started a GemTax regimen for my diagnosis of metastasized UPS Sarcoma. What a helpful video serires. It looks like it has been a year since your treatment, how are you doing? I want you to know that I have adopted a couple of your recommendations, one being the ice mittens and slippers, the other is fasting prior to the Docetaxel infusion. What a help! Its videos like yours that give fellow survivors/warriors needed information that doctors just aren't able to supply. Please watch for my upcoming video for UPS Sarcoma /GemTax video, I will produce after i finish my first round of treatment. Hope you stay well. Peace.
Thanks Glenn! I am doing pretty well. The chemo and radiation treatments are both becoming distant memories now but I am still on Lupron for another year and that has its own set of challenges. Please let me know when you put up that video about your experience- I would like to watch it. Wishing you all the best in your treatment.
That is an interesting observation. I think he speaks a lot faster than me because as a younger kid in the family he had to work harder to get a chance to say his piece and he had to say it quickly before someone else started talking.
You'll make it through, remain positive, your body will recognize that.
Good tip- thank you!
Pirate and princess helping u aww glad it was a good environment like that.
I appreciate you sharing your experience Parris! I am on my 5th treatment! Praying for your healing and cancer free recovery!🙏🏾

What are you talking about???
Staying home?
How are you going to pay for chemo unless YOU work full time to get health insurance from your job..?
How could any other family member stay home?
It costs a fortune to have these types of therapies..
How can you even buy food unless you work full time?
Thank you for sharing your experience, I really hope your next session isn't that bad. Sending all my love to you, as always! ♥
Thanks Selene! I have an idea of what to expect now so I can be better prepared. And I have my cold gloves and slippers! : )
