Roland Garros is Not the same without Rafael Nadal. He will be greatly missed in the Tennis World when he decides to Retire. He is really the “King of Clay” and a great Tennis player all around. He is very Disciplined, and HUMBLE. and Family Oriented. His Uncle Tony really did a great job with his career. He, along with Roger Federer are so “DISCIPLINED “ and elicit “ Good Sportsmanship “ even when he is “ Frustrated“ by playing a bad shot or “ losing “ a match” he remains “ Focused” and NEVER EVER has he “SMASHED” his Racket. In annoyance and I recall in an Interview where he said, and I quote, “ His Uncle Tony told him, if he smashes his racket, he will never be his Coach anymore” and he took it to heart. Hence his Discipline and his Humility on and off the court. Kudos to you Rafa, and many blessings to you and your family.👏🏼👏🏼❤️😀 at playing a bad shot or losing ,
I love that it showed David Ferrer in this. He should have been in the Hall of Fame without a Grand Slam. I call him fast feet. The big three prevented him from Obtaining and deserving more than some that got a GS. A gentleman and friend. A champion to me means the same behavior on and off the court. Rafa is humble and kind his values and morales have never changed and he has never broke a racket or destroyed anything out of frustration. My wish is to see him once before he retires. My health left my paid for seats empty twice. Three is my lucky number so say a little prayer for me. I wish his last year to be his best. I hope he trains harder than ever one more time and gets them all. He will always be my favorite player in the world and I started out with Connors and then Agassi but seeing him and learning more and more about tennis is because of Rafa a true and deserving champion.

The 2009 5 set Australian Open Semi-Final with Fernando Verdasco, was even better and more intense than the back to back 5 set Final with Federer. People talk about Djokovic being the goat. I firmly disagree. In my mind, being a true champion goes beyond the number of wins one has accumulated; a true champion walks humbly and gives back to all, and raise all who encounter him to his level. For example, there are tennis champions who chronically pitch fits like an Im petulant child, scream at everyone and break their rackets. My favorite is screaming “come on,” grunting as loud as possible like a donkey, and shaking their fist repeatedly as if it were some type of osmotic threat. Nadal clearly rises above all others to a class of his own. He has been my favorite tennis player ever since I first saw him play, with the hunger of a lion, and the gentleness of a giant. He will be sorely missed and it is a pity I will never get to see him play or meet him. Quietly, I am one of his biggest fans and wish him the best in every endeavor. Angela

Nadal said this week that the hip injury is not healing the way anyone had hoped it would. Going into the FO with absolutely no warm up tournaments is not going to be successful. If anyone can do it, Nadal would be the one person who can.
