Then everything went back to normal, I started listening other songs instead of repeating this one all day. Now it's 3 years later, I'm in uni right now, everything in my life is fine, but I'll always remember this song, how did it help me with my life, heartbreaking yet inspired at the same time.
Listening to this song when I'm depressed reminds me that sadness is meaningless and inconsequential, just like the rest of existence, and then I can smile at my misfortunes 👍🏻

Was randomly listening to Nick Cave and Birthday Party songs this evening, then this one came up and it hit me like a ton of bricks. I lost my dad to prostate cancer on July 25th 2023. I wasn't the easiest son to raise or deal with, but damn he loved me no matter what. I'm just glad I was able to tell him that I loved him before it happened. Not everyone gets to do that. But damn this song stings. I miss him so much.
