A new video! Deep L looks like a good resource and has the ゆうすけ seal of approval. I have just found out that the University of Tokyo has a Masters program for Landscape Architecture. I am currently researching it. If it looks like I would be able to be accepted I will have to study 日本語 very well to be able to do the program (I don't think it is in 英語). I wonder what level I will need (N1!?)
Hi, Stanton !! Are you interested in Landscape Architecture ? It seems that there are some other universities besides the University of Tokyo where you can study Landscape Architecture. But I don't think there is a university that teaches it in English, so if you want to do that, you'll need Japanese. And it's better to ask each university directly what level of JLPT is required for you. I'm sorry but I don't even know if you will or won't be required to JLPT, so I can't say anything about that. But my guess is that you won't be asked for N1. Because JLPT N1 is too special. I think a test that even Japanese people can get wrong is not a test, it is a quiz !!
@@moshimoshi.yusuke I am interested in it! My bachelor's degree will be Urban Planning/Design, and Landscape Architecture is something I have always been interested in. After doing more research, I think I will try and work for a year or two before attempting the masters. My wife and I are planning to visit Japan again in 2022 (if we can save enough :D) and go to Kyushu. I still want to live in Japan! Tokyo's admission deadline is in June of each year so I have set myself a marker for each April to check my Japanese language level and see if I can read/understand the past entrance exams they have on the website.
Konnichi wa ゆうすけさん。 I think having a text book is very important in learning 日本語。Plus the work book as well. Im not using げんき。I know we should learn kanji at the same time. I tried a N3 Listening Questions book the other day, and I have the impression that there were a lot of ambiguous questions. N2 is a lot harder. The practice of speaking is also the practice of listening. The practice of speaking means creating sentences in your head. In other words, even just commenting in Japanese in the comment section here is good practice for speaking.
I believe kana-only confuses alot more people than it helps. In my opinion it is alot more difficult and unnatural to read only in kana since I (and noone else who's not a total beginner I pressume) ever practices reading in kana only since basically it doesnt even exist kana-only reading material at this level. I think people with this level of japanese who does not understand kanji are scarce, and those who exist probably does not practice reading at all, so why would they want kana subtitles. That's my reasoning. Anyways good videos.
Thanks for your opinion. I know what you mean. But my videos are for listening only. When we or you talk in Japanese, kanji doesn't come into our ears, does it? I hope you will feel that the hiragana subtitles mean the same as the sound that comes into our ears.

Ciao Omonero ! (^3^)/ Your question is about Japan's response to the unemployed people who lost their jobs because of the coronavirus, right ? The Japanese government usually gives unemployment subsidies to the unemployed for 3 or 6 months, but they say they will help the unemployed by extending that period. And this will guarantee you about 60-70% of your monthly income you were earning up to that point. Aside from that, the Japanese government has decided to provide 100,000 yen "for everyone" in the sense of guaranteeing the livelihood of us. It equates to about 850 euros. We don't get it every month, but It will probably be paid out many times. That "everyone" includes foreigners who have been in Japan for more than three months.

I ask because whenever I go to Japan, I would like to record my interaction with other people...but I often point the camera down to avoid recording their face or in case it may be rude. Please can you advise.
When I film videos, I don't have a camera in my hand, I have a GoPro hero 8 on the shoulder strap of my backpack, which is a method of filming called POV (Point Of View). If POV, you can take videos naturally. But if I am told that this is rude I cannot deny it. I don't recommend that you hold a camera in your hand and take videos. Actually, it's very difficult to take videos. In my opinion, it must be very difficult to enjoy sightseeing in Japan and take videos at the same time.

I know there are many different opinions on my subtitles. But if I don't think about the amount of work I can do, I can't start making the next video. I will continue to make videos based on the many opinions I receive.
@@moshimoshi.yusuke you're welcome 🙏 do what you feel is best! i think kanji with furigana would be the best, but i dont know if there's a subtitle software that can do this.
I know. But my computer software can't do it.

I don't know anything about Japanese Universities, so I will have to look and see which ones have the program.

I think having a text book is very important in learning 日本語。Plus the work book as well. Im not using げんき。I know we should learn kanji at the same time. But if you added kanji, it might be very slow for beginners like me as I have not finished the elementary part. Thank you for staying with hiragana/katakana for now.. Im also trying to learn the tempo of this language. You sure talk fast.. But how come when 日本人 sings, its quite slow.. Anyways, your videos are great.. ありがとうございます。.. From マレーシア
Perhaps we are not slow when we sing, but rather we speak too fast when we speak. I guess...
Hello. Thanks a lot for your videos. I' m learning Japanese from Spanish. Your videos are very good for Intermediate level. I love kanji but I prefer the hiragana to improve audio comprehension. I was in Japan several times and your walk makes me feel 懐かしい. お元気で

I can type japanese when i press alt shift i installed japanese on my windows keyboard thing i think its called japanese ime it types in hiragana and i can autocorrect it to kanji or katakana
👍👍 The Japanese language has many characters, including kanji.
So you have to learn Japanese typing skills and kanji at the same time. It's quite a struggle.
Having an option to turn off the nnglish sub would also be great. Idk if its too much work for you or not, but putting the English into caption (CC) so we can turn it off would be best. Because until now, I am covering the engsub with my hand.
Thanks for your comment. In fact, there are a lot of videos with english subtitles or with japanese subtitles. But there are few videos that we can watch them at the same time.
My way of learning is to check them both at the same time. I know there are many opinions about my subtitles. But please understand my method. Thank you.
@@moshimoshi.yusuke Oh I'm not complaining, having both is great. I just wish to be able to turn the eng sub off. Even if I can't, I can just always cover it with my hand.

Hi, I am appearing N2 this year can you please guide me good site or video for study like your videos.
I tried a N3 Listening Questions book the other day, and I have the impression that there were a lot of ambiguous questions.
N2 is a lot harder.
It may be a little easier for those who try N2, but I think Misa-san and Masa-sensei's channel will be helpful.

Yusuke san , good morning , sorry for writing in english,. I found your videos very useful for improving my japanese language listening skill .I agree with You about the kanji use , so please continue in this way. I have 2 questions . First about Corona virus crisis,. The first is there in Japan an aid to the people that are loosing their jobs maybe by the Central Government or Prefectural Authorities? .The second , is about the dialouge with the taxi driver guy , Its very difficult I catched only few words but ,otherwise the matter was the falldown of business due the coronavis, I have difficult to following enterly the dialogue.and to understnd his point of view. Thanks for the english subtitle .. they help me a lot. Yusuke san thanks a lot for your effort. hontou ni Arigatou gozaimasu . keep safe yourself. grazie e arrivederci Ciao Domenico
Ciao Omonero ! (^3^)/
Your question is about Japan's response to the unemployed people who lost their jobs because of the coronavirus, right ?
The Japanese government usually gives unemployment subsidies to the unemployed for 3 or 6 months, but they say they will help the unemployed by extending that period. And this will guarantee you about 60-70% of your monthly income you were earning up to that point.
Aside from that, the Japanese government has decided to provide 100,000 yen "for everyone" in the sense of guaranteeing the livelihood of us. It equates to about 850 euros. We don't get it every month, but It will probably be paid out many times. That "everyone" includes foreigners who have been in Japan for more than three months.
@@moshimoshi.yusuke thanks for your answer Its quite like the Italian Govmnt has taken for help people (the amount is 600-800 euro) and all taxes will be frozen for 3 months , Now its starting "fase2 we can go outside wearing mask (as you know we arent use to wear mask ) and keep 2mt distance eachother, But little shop , bar barber shop and so on are reccomended to manage one customer at time ,and this is very hard to mantain strict rules. How much cost is your uses camera price ?? I want this
The camera I used in the cab?
GoPro hero 8 black. It's about $400 in America. In Japan, it's about 50,000 yen. Very good camera.
I'm introducing it in my video "Monologue in Japanese 2", so watch it.
Don't buy hero 7 by mistake !
7 is not good.
Ok thank you 🙏
I would love if you keep using hiragana and katakana only
I'm glad you think so. (^ω^) I thought that hiragana and katakana only would make you understand Japanese pronunciation well.
ゆすきせんせい、質問あるんです…please can you tell me how do you hold your camera for filming? Do people know you are recording them? If so, are they okay with you recording?
Someday I will briefly explain how to shoot in my video.
