We enjoyed a beautiful concert of Daniil Trifonov yesterday evening in Paris - Theatre des Champs Elysees. (Bach-Liszt, Bethoveen - Liszt études transcendantes )
It was really Fantastic ... A lot of emotion ! Everything was perfect ... You are a so young and so great pianist ! Have a wonderful carrier, Daniil. You deserve THE BEST ! And thank you ! :)

Always a great joy to see Daniil's character offstage as well as in performance. He is a very fascinating & intelligent musician and person, and i find my face stuck in a broad smile the entire duration of watching his interviews.
I am sick of hearing people criticize Yuja for her dresses and Lang Lang for his faces, then they act like Trifonov is some kind of CURE for all this. Seriously, have you seen his website? Hes like more obsessed with his image than they are. Yuja does not list what italian fashion designer she wears on the home page of her website, thank you very much. She knows that the music is the important thing!
If you think "only the music matters", and I agree with you on that point, you should not need anyone to teach you how not to be distracted by high heels :)
I think they do teach people how to do this at conservatory. No one sits down naturally and makes faces and breathes that loudly. they have to learn it somewhere.
As for Yuja, HER fashion sense is natural style!
I meant, Gidon Kremer says classical music world is poisoned NOW, but I think its just different from when he was young and its not worse. And I'm not the one thats hard to follow, he is. Because he says its all about pop and thats bad, but then he really likes Trifonov who is doing interviews at Verbier, so I dont know, I think Kremer is the confused one. :-/

Thats just your belief. Most people think of classical music as some kind of entertainment, and the looks of the performer count towards the entertainment. Everything does! If you go into a concert and you just listen to the music, you are missing half the performance. Even Trifman understands that, or else he would just sit still and play, but no he moves around and makes all that noise. And you people talk about the music itself. hahaha Yuja is more respectful to it.

No, they are both young pianists, they both play for deutsche grammophon, they both do all the same marketing stuff. The difference is that you complain about yuja, maybe because she is female, or is it because shes asian, or is it both?
Bunch of old guys trying to tell me how piano is right now! you can just watch the Van Cliburn Competition online and see that everyone makes faces now. It's REQUIRED.
WHEN did you attend conservatory and where? I am at one now where a very prestigious big name pianist taped his student and told her "you sound good enough to get into any competition, but look at you, you look like you don't feel a thing." And that was BAD and she had better correct that! I already told you Trifonov failed the cute/hot competition, legato is not enough to make up for that. All pianists should be able to play legato.
You say "it is a nuisance and a distraction". If you use your ears to listen to music, you cannot be distracted by something visual.

Something you know much about;' "overcome' by music' I think, in your case, should be 'overdone"...
uh huh, thats just what I mean. You laugh at Yuja then you say Trifonov is all that. so maybe he plays with more legato than some other pianists, but hes just the same basically.
Never know that Harry can play piano this well!
It dont like the marketing around Trif either. They are selling "typically russian" artist.
Yea Trifman understands about the hotness thing, he's just not as good at it as the other two, so his fans can stand back and call him some sort of holy saint just because he seems to abstain from the posing etc. Yuja doesnt pretend otherwise, in this way she is smarter. she doesnt fool anyone, including herself.

Stop saying crap. Defending a pianist is one thing,.systematically comparing her with the others is something else (stupid). And your show business theories ... Surely not taught anywhere.

Your just in denial about the reality of the classical music world. Gidon Kremer even said its poisoned, and hes an insider. I think hes wrong, its just different. Maybe he doesnt appreciate the fashion quality of Yujas dresses, whatever.
What is pathetic is your "fondness for pounding". As one says, "if you can, you do, if you can't, you criticize": nobody cares about concert reviews, "they" have no importance. As you say, only music matters, the reviews of people focusing on clothes have no importance.
wrong! Trifman is not as cute as Jan and not as hot as Yuja, so he does not win this competition. I heard that he won some other competitions, but those are not as important.
Im going to have to go listen to some BENNO to make up for this crap.
I just looked up that guy and he sucks. He cant play as fast as Yuja AND he's not as sparkly.
