I know so because 6x Glass Cannon teleport bolt blast radius increases to the same size as the starting bomb spell when used on soil, and it became possible to destroy entire biomes with unstable crystal detonations.

in nightmare mode, you very often encounter enemies with glass canon... trust me, you don't want to encounter those throwing bombs or dynamites at you (or at any other monsters, even offscreen)... same effect as here, except that you take everything in the face lol (in nightmare, there are many more wands scattered everywhere also, making it veeeeeery easy for those glass canon dudes to shot you with even more op stuffs...)
