I wanted to GIVE UP! // Acatenango Hike Vlog

  • ... But I am so glad I didn't! This was one of the toughest hikes I have been on so far. Acatenango and El Fuego in Antigua Guatemala did not disappoint. It was grueling, camping was involved and of course lava! If you're a thrill seeker, avid hiker, or generally love outdoor challenges - I highly recommend this experience. But maybe go a little bit more prepared than I was :).
    A 2 day hike that takes you up to 4k feet with a thunderous light display all night. We had some amazing views and I am so proud of everyone in our little group for taking on this hike.

    I really liked your video, and the picture you took is awesome. I did acatenango twice (20+ years ago), and totally relate to the struggling, the pushing yourself, and the sense of accomplishment. Btw, is not 4k feet, is 4k meters! (13k feet)

    Hi Linda , thanks for your honesty , I have experience, hiking high altitudes in Peru , I was wondering if you would recommend the company you used and if so , what company was it ? Was it Guatemalan owned ?

    • @lifebylinda
      @lifebylinda  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Lori! Unfortunately I don't know which company it was but I imagine it was local. I booked directly at the hostel I stayed in, in Antigua (Selina hostel). I hope that helps!

    If you are guatemalan is something normal. I remembered one friday night playing a basketball game, the next day we ride our bikes from Guate city to Santiago Atitlan the very next day we kayaked from Santiago to San Pedro and back, the next day we played a basket ball game against San Lucas. If you dont do that, you were never in Guate.
