Thank you for the information, Don. eBay is getting worse for sellers and is a minefield these days, you just have to be so careful about what you're doing and selling. Happy New Year To You. Charles in the UK
Hi Don, So, I just moved to the midwest from the southeast, there's an older lady that has a regular garage sale (daily) in my town. I'm giving her these coca cola pins, trays, tins and buttons a thimble etc for her to sell to help her cause. I've had them listed for 1.5 years and dropped them down to like 18 bux or something. nobody bit, that was a buying mistake. I think I paid like 26 bucks or so... Coca Cola stuff is tough and not much is worth much of anything. I guess the 80s coke rugby shirts are still worth some jack.
Using eBay’s research feature, formerly known as TeraPeak, I can view the product history of an item for the past three years. Sometimes, I notice multiple policy violations by other sellers, which serves as a valuable warning to be cautious. For instance, I have IKEA shopping bags that have been violated by numerous sellers. Consequently, I decided to sell them elsewhere to avoid any potential issues. 🎉
This happened to me once. I went to an estate sale where the family had a sole proprietorship hardware store back in the 1970s. Tons of deadstock. I bought a few vintage lawn sprinklers, new in box for less than 5 dollars each. The first one sold for over 100 dollars. The second for about 75 dollars. The third...maybe 60 dollars. Suddenly, a whole bunch of identical sprinklers went up for sale (all sourced from the same estate sale) and before long they were getting 9.99 with 20+ for sale at the same time. The very few people who were willing to pay top dollar got theirs and then the supply quickly outpaced the demand when the market got flooded.
Hey question... If your selling a Vintage 1940s - 60s NWOB perfume and you write in the description something like "For display purposes only, I wouldn't use it", would you be protected? Or no?
eBay can be super annoying with the whole taking down items because they think they are counterfeit. I got a collection of Kiss records off a family member, and they immediately took down the first one I listed saying it was fake. I was able to list all the other albums, even a “No Kissing Time” debut album and none got flagged. Just shows they have AI running the show.
Twice I purchased items toys from Walmart on clearance. Listed on eBay to find eBay removed for recall. I had Walmart receipt if I didn’t I would not be able to get my money back

eBay has always been a minefield.
It has improved somewhat significantly in the last 10 years in my opinion.

✌️👍That pen and pencil set got me too. Fortunately I only paid a dollar at my flea.

eBay is so lenient, if that was Amazon you would have been done with no way to fight it.
Thanks for the heads up. Always helpful information.

Just a quick note, you need a better mic. It’ll make your audio much cleaner with no echo
I always enjoy your videos. They inform, educate and you explain everything exceedingly well. thank you. Best wishes in 2025.
