I have made thousands of dollars from "trash". No joke. And all in the past 2 years. I still shake my head when i think about all the stuff i dig up from dumpsters and trash cans. Nice find Don. And it isnt free money. It has taken years of experiance to be able to know what isnt trash. Well earned profit. Love your channel. Have learned many many things from you. Appreciate your willingness to share knowledge. Keep it up my man
I'm 79 and I have a bale of newspapers of world events that my Grandmother had saved, passed to my Mother and now to me. Thanks for giving me the incentive to take another look.
I’m so glad you rescued those treasures from the trash! It’s hard to believe anybody would think it should be thrown away. I’ve heard of that disaster, but I’ve never seen anything from it. Thank you for the video
Guitar Centers dumpster has been a great source. I have found numerous guitar cases/gig bags, working studio monitors, mixing board. Once found a full size trash bad full of speaker/instrument/Mic/audio cables. 90% of them were functional. About $4,000 worth(retail price). They tend to throw out alot of acoustics/classical guitar. They usually break the headstocks off. For those I part it out. But I did actually find a classical once that was a clean headstock break and repaired it(I use to work for PRS Guitars). Retail wise a $350 classical. I had some luck behind party supply stores too. I once came across bags and bags of candy. All sealed and sealed inside the big bags. Close to expired buy sold them a few months before the date.
The garbage has kept me fed many times. And one particular item, i've sold about 59 times the last 3 months, and have made more profit with that than what i would make in 1 whole month of working at my normal job. The garbage always rewards nicely :)
Never heard of the SS Eastland Ship until I looked it up after you mentioned it Don. Sure was a big disaster on the Chicago River, love the history lesson. It always seems sad to know that people can make money from disasters, but this is history and people in the future need to know history. Thanks for the lesson, Don. Charles in the UK
I literally took a full bottle of Estee Lauder out of a trash pile at an estate sale last weekend. The perfume retails for more than I spent in the estate sale inside. It makes me even more disgusted with online "estate auctions", who pitch anything they don't understand and who would have tossed the newspapers into the recycling.
I think there is some irony in the fact that you are showing the newspapers about a ship that flipped over on its side over a display case featuring Weebles.
I want to know about collecting items and they don’t have very much money to start the hobby. What should I start out with? That wouldn’t cost me very much money thank you and God bless you.
Hi professor, would you be interested in the NY post the day Michael Jackson passed? I also have a ton of sports teams specifically the Yankees winning World Series in the 90’s. 911 news papers, NY post, the Dailey News papers of 911. Thanks for the videos.

I agree. He has the best channel on YT with regard to reselling. There are so many grifters. Don is the real deal. 100% authentic.
I've had a similar experience. Amazing things 👍
Wow! Nice job. You literally were able to bring to life the phrase, "one man's trash is another man's treasure."

I love finding old newspapers at estate sales! Normally, they are cheap! But , in the trash, that is awesome, Great find! Thanks Don

Being a historian pays. I enjoy very old movies some nights just to learn about some items. Good night, thanks.
Thanks for sharing. A fantastic example of knowing more than the people attending the sale. Estate sale trash piles can and do at times pay off.

Great history lesson, professor. I'd never heard of that disaster.
Amazing find ❤

Love it so much Don! Hair looking nice and messy but would love to see it shoulder length again soon.
Very interesting history fact , I had no idea this happened, thank you
From Western Electric now AT&T, my mom worked there soon after. The company paid for everything, this was an annual picnic.
Hawthore Works too
3'rd reselling video I've seen in the past 2 weeks with trash in the title. Great key word, trash does sell!
That was very interesting! Thank you!

That is so cool u saved history

Also sad to hear that so many perished while being so close to land
How did I not know of this. i come across old papers and things for zip simply because people don't want to read anymore.

I feel like the Titanic would be better. 99% never heard of this. Might be more rare, but also less demand. I could be wrong, but cool find either way
I feel silly for never hearing about this
How very sad...horrible way to die.
🛳️😢
