Don’t set the standards too high. At least they’re playing different commanders this week. Did you see last week’s video? It was the worst episode of all time.
This is my first time watching one of these epic Commander battles - nice job everyone! I appreciate how someone takes the time to display the card on the screen so I know whats being played. Thank you to all and your fine editing!
@@raymondshiner1046 Blood moon doesn't stop Arbor from being a creature, it'll still die to Act. The real answer is cause Jeremy is terrible at the game and constantly makes mistakes that favor him.
The problem with that is Dryad Arbor should have been upfront not in the land section. That happend in a protour event and they changed the rules toward creature being also a land like dryad arbor and nobody even noticed at the table
Jon had 4 2/2 zombies and would have killed Corey's grave titan and Corey didn't want that. I do think that Corey should have at least swung the zombie tokens at Jon though.
Having Jeremy MC the beginning of the show has brought some new energy to the folks playing. Maybe give everyone a go at this role for a few weeks to see what Jonathan & Stephen can bring to the role as well?
I don't know what was in Coreys hand so it might not have changed the outcome, but Stephen should have died before the Cathar Commandos ability resolved, so Corey would have kept the Ghostform and brought back Syr Konrad after the resolution of Damnation. The damage ping from Konrad resolved before the Cathar Commando ping. With the 1 damage from the Konrad mills, Stephen would have died before the ability resolved, exiling the ability from the stack.
That's the commander inexperience showing lol, he'll learn. Edit: He did correct his mistake and apologize like the very next turn tho lol so I guess he's learning fast
I understood why he did it. He knew that John and Jeremy would correctly block to kill the Grave Titan and he wanted to make more zombies to advance his board state and to progress the game. Does it seem rough? Sure. But was it the correct play? I think so.
@@jamesdavis5081 it most certainly was the right play. People tend to forget that commander is Free For All style format. In honor of a certain MtG content departing from TH-cam, how about a theme week of decks 'heavily inspired' by favorite PTQ/competitive decks or deck themes thru history?
around the 30 minute mark, he definitely should've sac'd the other three to viscera seer before casting village rites!! makes me wish it read "sac X creatures: Scry X" but no :(
Corey not using his blade of selves i think really slowed and ended his game, he couldve been making tons of clones and the like. I mean john was making threats, but the worst he could do is destroy some creatures, which is Corey’s deck’s bread and butter. Still great game overall.
Please teach Corey the trick where you can set cards beside the library that you are scrying to the bottom till you are done then stack them all on the bottom. He kept picking up the deck for every card he scry-ed to the bottom and it was killing me.
Dearest Dan and Cmdr Vs Team. CAN YOU PUT THE COMMANDERS BACK ON SCREEN WHEN SHOWING THEM?? I GOTTA PAUSE THE VIDEO AND GOOGLE COMMANDERS WHEN YOU SAY WHO UR PLAYING. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DAN PUT THE COMMANDERS ON SCREEN AGAIN -_-
@@IlikeCRAP They're trying something new damn. Idt it's dropping in quality. They have an actual Bell Now. It's just hard to make it feel new because we're in season 28 er something like that.
“What in the world is this?…That’s not a real Magic card” lmao Ever since Secret lair has been a thing, this is something we have all had to say at some point! lol
Reason 4,275 why you shouldn't play with dryad arbor. jeremy's arbor was wrathed by the blasphemous act, but he never removed it. so then on his next turn he still had 7 different lands to amass a ton of zombies. However without it he never would have had 7 different lands. Those zombies cracked john for 15+ and took him out of the game. Suarez was robbed!
Corey going for the player who's behind like that is really poor sportsmanship. Each week he let's the player getting ahead get further ahead by helping them kill the slower decks before he loses his board. Is it a habit learnt from 1v1 that doesn't translate well into multilayer?
Yea my guess is it's just his competitive nature of 1v1 magic showing through. Most players of regular magic aren't used to getting any sort of advantage from leaving an opponent alive.
Swinging just grave titan for more zombies makes sense, but not adding all the extra damage. Having someone at such a lower life total and boardstate opens you up to leaving political and social value on the table.
Decks! articles.starcitygames.com/magic-the-gathering/commander-vs-279-kamigawa-neon-dynasty-dragon-spirit-battle/
When you talk about your decks it would be awesome if we could see what the commanders do
This is exactly what I was going to say. More rudely, probably - This is better. :)
I've been saying this on every video... Hopefully they take our suggestion soon!

How did the dryad arbor survive the blasphemous act? That also would have changed how many different land names were in play for field, right?
I think there was a blood moon effect in play at the time.

The amount of mics that got hit in this episode was really hard on the ears ._.
Would be great if you show the commanders at the start
Why would Corey not attack John at 20:00? So what if Stephen is open, John's defenses aren't that high...
Jon had 4 2/2 zombies and would have killed Corey's grave titan and Corey didn't want that. I do think that Corey should have at least swung the zombie tokens at Jon though.

Could Jeremy have not activated Druid class after the damnation and ended it a lot quicker?
Also Corey you can't trigger Myriad if you only have one opponent

Dan really got it at the end . Really coming into his own.
It’s Wednesday night and you know what that means Star city on TH-cam

How many lands are in Kura? I'm thinking about making a version of it and thinking of 44-48 lands
Show the commanders at the start please.

Why did Jeremy get to keep dryad arbor when the blast act went off
what was happening with the audio? was something bumping up against the mics?
Is there any way to buy the custom player tokens?
Not at this time, sorry! Those were limited promotional items. :)
Someone tell the guys Blade of Selves does absolutely nothing against 1 opponent.
If Magus is out and you play Dark Depths shouldn't its ETB effect not work and once magus died he gets a Marit Lage?
It's an as, not a when. So it'll come in with the counters. Also, Magus was out when he played dark depths.
If I wanted to submit a deck to Jon, but don't have twiitter how would I do that?
The best way is to reach out to him on Twitter. :)

You guys should do a series where you use your favorite commanders for each color combination. It would be the 32 two deck Challenge, the Series
it rly bothers me that jeremy didnt play a single snow-covered forest just for field of the dead prposes
how could he after making fun of steven's one random snow-covered plain
