More e36 vids please! Seems as though there aren't a lot of high quality vids in TH-cam land for this car when it comes to mechanical work. I've got a 97 that's given me some headaches. I find the diagnostic work is harder than the actual mechanical work. Can't wait for the next one!
@@fcpeuro Hi. Can you try to help me please?:-) I have whistling in area at intake and car doesn't work well when is cold engine. What it can be? Bmw E36 328i. Thanks
Thank you for going through this process so thoroughly and for all of your thoughts and tips. This was a big help for me when I removed the intake manifold on my E36 M3.
I have to remove the manifold to replace the leaking hose underneath causing my M3 to overheat, so I decided that while I'm in there, I will replace all the hoses and the fuel injectors, why not?
Note to self, watch the video all the way through to not miss the important step of taking fuel pump fuse out and letting it run before stripping the whole car down 😂😂
You can just do the fuel line, but it is not too much more work to remove the injectors and inspect the condition of the o-rings as these are a bit older now.
How likely is it that I’d have to replace the intake gaskets while doing this? Is the m50 manifold worth the time and money?? I have a stock m52 and plan on pulling the intake to get my hands on every piece I can do it once do it right and race around for a long time to come
Nice! That's a lot easier than removing the intakes on an E32 750! (Ive done it twice, don't even get me started on replacing the starter in that beast.) Thanks! :) Any e34 tips coming up?
Can I follow the same procedure for 98’ E36 M3. What does it differ ? Are there more things to be taken out under the intake manifold on S52. Thanks in advance. FCP Euro 👍
It makes a bit more noise, little more power up top, still have to tune accordingly to take full advantage. It's a tried and true performance mod though so was for sure a no brainer. You do tend to lose a little bit of low end torque though.
This is actually one of the best ones I’ve seen. He explained everything
Happy to hear that!

Chris we actually have a bunch of E36 and E46 videos in the works right now! Stay tuned for more in the near future.

Great video!!!! This guy is very calm during the process.
Good stuff! Descriptive and good camera angels.
Nice video. I will like to see how you fix it back. Actually I have been noticing some air leaks in that area and I am suspecting the manifold too
I live in ct and am in my garage and hear those same birds chirping lmao
Thanks for the informative video man. I am about to clean my ICV and i'll look at the items you suggested when i do.

Will I need to bleed my coolant if I disconnect those coolat lines on the throttle body? PLEASE ANSWER

Hey just curious is the oil in the throttle body normal or is it because of the pcv
Which is the easiest way to remove this manifold ?
disconnecting the fuel rail or injectors

The squids? You must be a marine? 😂
I need help to find what wire plug into the injector harness by the middle of the intake
Much thanks for this video, it is a excellent video...EZ.
You're welcome, Enrique! Glad it was helpful!

I had issue with my gear again and I used the opportunity to remove the manifold and having difficulty in the installation

We can definitely add some E34 tips to the list, Michael! Thanks for watching!

There is always something that is forgotten; be sure to go back and look with the flashlight!

"First blood" had me laughing!
How do you like the M50 manifold mod? Probably a no brainer on a race car.

There is no how u will work on that engine without shedding some blood
Yapped too much for my liking
