    It amazes me how you are able to take mundane scenes and turn them into masterpieces! Thanks for taking me along!

    Really enjoyed this Mads and great to see you and Greg meeting up and look forward to seeing his video. Most of the images I have seen of the Wave building have been black and white fine art images so it was nice to see your colour version. The Fjordenhus building looked a really cool subject too so I have added a map pin to my google maps as Denmark is very much a place I would love to visit for the architecture
    Wow....just watched Greg's video and I'm speechless and totally blown away for the shout out by both of you. Thank you Mads, that really has made my day 🙂

    Blue hour has always been my favourite time for landscape. Sunsets are cool but def prefer blue hour. Glad this is up.

    Remember to warn people about the yellow path lights in that first location.
    If shooting anything in the foreground close to the path, those lights will definitely bleed onto that subject & throw out the white balance between the foreground and the background.
    Great video. Some amazing locations.

    Hi Mads, engaging video. I like the photo with the bridge and the flowers the most. Also good to see how good it is to go on chooting tour with photo friends. That stimulates. Tomorrow I am on tour with my photofriends to Rotterdam, to shoot architecture and streetlife. We try to take some shots with our smartphones, using a vertical panorama technique, wich gives options for perspective editing and a better resolution. I hope that we can do some blue hour shots. Greeting, Bert.

    I'm not sure if this was filmed on the same evening but I saw an amazing sunset at the Little Belt Bridge on the 10th of June (I was staying in the countryside about 5km from it). The colours seemed to last forever so I was out with the camera for ages, capturing the bridge from various angles.

    There's no real official definition of blue hour, but there are official definitions of the twilights, and I think you might have conflated them. 18° below is when astronomical twilight ends, and 12° for nautical, 6° for civil twilights. What I most often see for blue hour is the range of 3°-10°, which allows for the 10°-18° range being a bit on the darker side, and the sky definitely being too bright and not really blue yet in the 0°-3° range.

      @stuartmcnair6696 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. I see -4 to -6º but certainly for north of 45º N in summer that is waaay too bright and restrictive.

    • @jamjamme
      @jamjamme 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Exactly. In Vejle, around midsummer, the sun doesn't reach -12°.
      -12° is designated the end of nautical twilight because at sea the horizon (transition from sea to sky) becomes indistinguishable and therefor it becomes impossible to measure the altitude of a star or the moon with a sextant. You need quite a long exposure and a decent amount of moonlight for photography at that point.
      This morning (29 June 2024) at half past midnight the sun would have been at -10.2° in Vejle.

      And, for those who complain about just everything, or nearly, those twilight affairs are no details.
      They matter, A LOT, for air and sea traffic but also for weather observations and data collection.
      Hours and degrees vary depending on latitude of course, but also on altitude and land configuration.
      This is a highly technical business, not to be taken lightly (!), or consequences may hit hard. Harder than we could ever think !

    To me, the blue hour photo at 4:43 works far better than the sunset time blend because the sunset isn't reflected in the water.

    I think it depend on how you define the largest bridge in Denmark. If it is by lenght you are way off. Then it is only number 8

    Virkelig smukke billeder! Og tak for et godt og interessant tema. Bruger du nogen apps til planlægning af solens placering eller tidspunkter for den blå time eller andet, som du vil anbefale til fotografer?
